Can you comment on the smell? I've heard mixed reviews -- some people say that exhaust smell is close to stock and others say because it's only 200 cell it emits a very noticeable odor.
Update: I removed the O2 spacer, drove around 50 miles. On the next startup the CEL is off! I've driven around 12 miles and it's still off. I hope it stays that way.

Was the car more responsive after the install. In terms of throttle response and while accelerating? I always use the analogy that the car has a stuffy nose..haha. kinda lame, but it does feel restricted in stock form.
For sure. Spool up is.much improved. And a stuff nose of a pretty good analogy. I also did a high flow turbo inlet. I think it made a noticable difference. More than I thought it would.
No it's a FORGE blanket for a golf R. It's a bit too small. Haven't had a chance to measure and get a proper one. I'll replace it when I do a hybrid setup
Why use the spacer? Just load a 034 Stage 2 tune file, that is specially made for an aftermarket DP. It will get ride of CEL and give your engine the proper air fuel ratio to optimize the downpipe you just installed? A downpipe is practically useless without a corresponding tune...besides the sound difference.
@@Madnesschannel100 I run MAP2 when using 91octane. When running 5 gals of e85 I go between maps 3-6 depending on whether and what I'm doing. JB4 can clear codes but it doesn't turn off the O2 sensor so I get a CEL light every now and then

You need to lift the car. All the tools are listed in 034 install manual. You can look on their site.

034 tune didn’t exist then. I’m on it now. Tune does not get rid of the CEL. EPA says that’s bad so tuners don’t do that anymore.
