do you have to lift the car to remove the downpipe? Do you have to also get the exhaust hangers off or it’s optional?
You need to lift the car. All the tools are listed in 034 install manual. You can look on their site.
for the two tools you used at 2:26, can you send link or provide me the size and specs please? 🙏

Probably the resonator.
Did you get a cel when you installed the 034 hfc?
Will always get a cel with 034 cat on a b9, you'd a need a tune to clear it

Drone?
Why use the spacer? Just load a 034 Stage 2 tune file, that is specially made for an aftermarket DP. It will get ride of CEL and give your engine the proper air fuel ratio to optimize the downpipe you just installed? A downpipe is practically useless without a corresponding tune...besides the sound difference.
034 tune didn’t exist then. I’m on it now. Tune does not get rid of the CEL. EPA says that’s bad so tuners don’t do that anymore.

I don’t think you NEED one but you’re definitely take full advantage of the potential without a tune.
I like the way it sounds but I cannot stand the drone, I wonder if some performance resonators would sound good with the 034 hfc as well? I think Ill try it out on my s5 soon.
Can you comment on the smell? I've heard mixed reviews -- some people say that exhaust smell is close to stock and others say because it's only 200 cell it emits a very noticeable odor.
It definitely smells more like a race car. Lol.

There is a little drone with valves open in the 2k rpm range. But it’s not too bad. The family doesn’t complain. I may go catless when I I install the tte710 and reassess whether or not I want to get an aftermarket valved catback.

Yes the DP is catted. Regular driving is great. Not too loud at all.

@@Madnesschannel100 I run MAP2 when using 91octane. When running 5 gals of e85 I go between maps 3-6 depending on whether and what I'm doing. JB4 can clear codes but it doesn't turn off the O2 sensor so I get a CEL light every now and then

Was the car more responsive after the install. In terms of throttle response and while accelerating? I always use the analogy that the car has a stuffy nose..haha. kinda lame, but it does feel restricted in stock form.
For sure. Spool up is.much improved. And a stuff nose of a pretty good analogy. I also did a high flow turbo inlet. I think it made a noticable difference. More than I thought it would.
what map are you running ? map 5? is that 5 gal of e85 with the rest 93 oct or 91 oct?
Is that a custom Turbo blanket? I have not seen any for the B9 S4/S5?
No it's a FORGE blanket for a golf R. It's a bit too small. Haven't had a chance to measure and get a proper one. I'll replace it when I do a hybrid setup
Update: I removed the O2 spacer, drove around 50 miles. On the next startup the CEL is off! I've driven around 12 miles and it's still off. I hope it stays that way.

@@ant337 Nice. Sorry for all the questions. Why are you going with the 034 tune? They seem to have real high quality stuff. Just curious because I've been leaning towards APR. I had APR tune on my b8.5 S4 and loved it. I just got my B9 S5 SB on Sunday.

No never measured. I think UM tested the 5300 rpm launch at mid to high 5 sec range 0-60.
