      Dude, that's one of the many things I love about that guitar! Super tight! I'm actually using that guitar to record the course I'm working on (which I just took a break from!! ...back to work!!)

      @@jasonstallworth Bias is OK......I would go with a different company for better quality.

    Very good presentation, I always prefer real amps, cabs and mics, but for people who are not able to afford the real stuff this video will be very useful.
    It's also good to do some preproduction material

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm with you...I prefer recording with a real amp. But as you mentioned, plugins are great for pre-production and getting down your initial riffs and tracks. And I also like using BIAS for tracks that need more effects, and sometimes the solos.
      Oh, I've got a complete guide on recording with a real amp here (playlist): th-cam.com/play/PLUj6Esz5qJKLcp3iyMeKzau10zIxeG58M.html

    Hi Jason. Do you use a midi foot switch to switch from rhythm to lead guitar?

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I never got any foot pedals for this stuff. I mainly only use plugins for recording videos for social media and also for recording my initial ideas. The album I'm working on now, I'm recording with a real amp. I show you my settings and methods in this playlist: th-cam.com/play/PLUj6Esz5qJKLcp3iyMeKzau10zIxeG58M.html

    Really cool video, awesome. What model guitar is that LTD? Have you ever had trouble with Floyd Rose guitars?

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      LTD M-1000 Deluxe. Never had issues with the Floyd. But I don't go crazy with my whammy (barely use it and when I do, it's subtle)

    Most bias fx 2 presets sound crap with my setup. I have behringer um2 and fender bullet squire. Will upgrading guitar help?

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think the type of guitar, or moreso, the type of pickups in the guitar may be the issue here. So yeah, upgrading to something like a Jackson, LTD, Ibanez (several others) that are made more for rock and metal will help.

      @@jasonstallworth Thanks for the suggestion. I found out the reason for bad quality. My interface has 2 inputs , one for mic and other for instrument. I had been using the mic input that's why the audio quality was bad. After connecting to instrument input it sounds good 👍🎸😀.

      I don’t save anything out there. I do have screen shots in this blog post though (I’ve found it’s best to dial it in rather than downloading tones…those never sound the same for some reason): www.jasonstallworth.com/bias-amp-2-hard-rock-tones/

    Only just found your channel, it turned up in my recommended feed. Cool videos by the way, subscribed immediately. Do you have the tab for the riffs used in this video available for download? Not really after the solo(s), it's the riffs that I am after they are really cool.

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for joining my channel! I don't have the tabs for this BUT I'm releasing a metal riff course later this month and that will have videos and tabs (70 lessons)!
      I'll be notifying my email subscribers first on this, so make sure you're signed up here: www.jasonstallworth.com/guitarist/

      @@jasonstallworth That sounds exactly like a course I need. I have a fair bit of skill on guitar, can play fast, improvise and play 7 string guitar, but, I NEVER learnt how to write riffs. I am learning guitar backwards. Signing up now!

      Yeah dude, I've heard a lot about that one. I may download the demo and put something out here! But I'm not crazy about having a ton of plugins. I like to use a real amp for recording albums. Plugins are just for writing and making short videos for social

    Hello nice work as usual . I got bias fx 2 and I'm using a focusrite 2i2 2nd generation I was wondering what is the trick to get good tone from those presets Does it require a lot of playing around with compression and EQ , I feel like it some sounds good but there's a little something missing here to really make everything sound more thick and present. It's hard to explain really but , I am using the donner Special-I DI plugged in Input 1 Line level.
    Maybe I am not setting the amp levels correctly I don't know . I ve been using the 808 and EQ . I'm trying to get a really professional FAT Sound.
    Thank you

    • @jasonstallworth
      @jasonstallworth  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dude, I don't use any compression or EQ (outside of the amp's EQ) with plugins. To me, that just digitizes the sound more. I do use an overdrive pedal, which I believe go over that in this video. I also have a blog post with screenshots for this video here: www.jasonstallworth.com/bias-amp-2-hard-rock-tones/
