Mrs Metalmans favourite walk and she loves the low level walks the best now. Blea Tarn and yes it is a fabulously ridge to walk and very steep up but man, that decent down was a bloody mare. I need to do Grassmore and Whiteless Pike, as well as Rannerdale Knotts, just need the weather and my new GoPro to arrive. We always stop at that tea room too and always spend too much and I always eat too much. Shame the weather but good to see it did not last the rest of the day and what a great place to finish the day, we had a brilliant overnighter at the Borrowdale Hotel last January, cheers Alan
Hi Alan. I love this walk and I can’t resist the cake in the cafe. We did Grassmoor from from the car park near Cinderdale Beck and went straight up Lad How’s to the summit. It’s a hard pull up but exhilarating. Then you can walk the ridge to Wandope and Whiteless Pike then back through Rannerdale. A truly beautiful walk on sunny day. Unfortunately my right foot is giving me problems so not sure if I can do it anymore. I’ll keep trying. It will be interesting to see the results of your new GoPro 10 black when you get it. Nearly packed in with TH-cam as I was having big problems uploading but I bit the bullet and bought powerdirector 20 and it’s working great now. Thanks for watching and hope to catch up some time. Cheers.
