I was thinking about you the other day! And here you are again 😊 I was watching another you tube video of some swanky van in USA, thinking it didn’t feel real to me. You are real though and I’m happy to see you’re okay.
Omg Leanne. I miss your video so much. I was thinking about you. Hope you were ok. So glad you are back. Lovely watching your video again. Hope FIFO work keep you happy. Really hope we will meet up oneday on the mine site 🙂 Take care xx
Was starting to worry bout you. Glad to see you're still making your days on your terms. As always your resilience is a inspiration. Keep being the lovely and lively person you are. Thanks for sharing.
So great to see you back on TH-cam, I was beginning to think you had abandoned us… Great to see you are feeling happy and refreshed with life… Looking forward to seeing more vids… Take care, stay safe, strong & happy… Hugs from Eden, NSW… 😎🥃👍🏼
Hey Leanne, I watched your video because of the title, living in a van, that’s what I’m doing only a caravan after a divorce two years ago, your wise words are comforting and I like the way you cook, I did fifo work for years and now I’ve lost my dream of retirement by the sea, house was sold hence I’m in the van, thanks for sharing your life with us.
The Wannamel rest area is a great clean little spot to vege out in for a couple of days, great to see you "back in the saddle" Leanne, look forward to more adventures.👍
Im so happy toosee you back I have been wondering ho would have been and thought you may have decided to give utube a miss since the little man passing 😢 but it is honestly great to have you back Look forward to seeing more of your videos
I did think about giving it up all together but with all the messages I kept receiving thought it was time. It has been really hard since Tonka passing as he got me out of bed every morning, but now with working my focus is on other things xx
I can totally understand those feelings But personally I’m glad you haven’t given up I love watching your videos and the places you go I love all of your content and look forward to watching more it gives me inspiration to hopefully get out and do it myself one day
Good on you for getting on with life. Well done on the job and saving some money. It does make a difference to your whole perspective. Can I ask if you'd buy this size van again or would you buy the higher roof as we are starting to look and I kinda like the model you have with the 5 cylinder engine over the 4.anyway, happy travels.
Hey Michael, Would buy the high roof next time so you can have cabinets up top to give more storage. Alot of the medium roof new vans are a little higher than mine and you could probably have smaller cabinets but think would make the van too cramped.
Hari OM G'day Leanne!!! LIke others, I was starting to wonder if you had given it up altogether - kept checking for an upload... and finally you're here! So glad you have found a balance that suits you for the time being, taking a bit of the stress off yourself. And fret not about the hair - I uploaded my latest vid and got a shock when I was preparing it for it looked like I had just got outta bed. Then again, it never stays put, and folk are there for the food and not coiffure!!! Hope to see another from you before too long. YAM xx
Thank you for your support 🙏. I use to care about how I looked on camera but hey, need to keep it real. There is already to many vanlifers out there with pretty perfect content and locations making the experience unrealistic. Im just a normal person struggling through life sometimes, just like so many others. My hair has a mind of its own, one I can't control 😁
Hi there, I was watching this video 3 years ago when I was still studying in europe and dreaming about fifo job and living in the van. Moved to WA in Jan/2024, found fifo job and recently even got myself the van. I just would like to ask you whether you have any tips regarding a van life. Estetially some spot recommendations for overnight stays. Thank you very much. Found a lot of value in your videos❤
Hi, Hope your vanlife journey is all going well. I generally stayed in the same place whenever I was in the city. A carpark near town houses was my go too, especially when coming of night shift. Sometimes I would stay near schools but would leave before school started. Park outside of the spud shed was another one. Parking up takes some time to pick a good location you feel safe to be and one you can go back to over and over. The best thing about being in a van is if you don't feel safe you can just move on. I used Wikicamps to pick free camp grounds when travelling out of the city. Stayed away from popular holiday destinations, especially during school holidays. And if you ever just want to park up for a bit, alot of the inland WA small town caravan parks are cheap around $15 dollars a day. Perfect to do some laundry and clean the van. Hope this helps 🙏 Safe travels
Hello, how did you end up getting a job in the mines? I'm from the US, and I have no idea where to start or if they accept anyone with no experience or qualifications.
Been living in my truck 5 years now and its worked out so well Im not even going to bother with land and the stress, I have all the comforts of any other apartment so I really don't need anything more but to live my life with lots of free time....Did you get land or upgrade your van life?
I didn't make it that far as my van broke down just out of Port Hedland but hope to get that way soon. Broome seems quiet safe but always listen to your intuition, if its telling you to move just go. There are plenty of caravan parks in the towns so if it doesn't feel right just book into one. Safe travels Hope x
do you guys hire international people .....WHO have proper degree and experience??? (i am doing my masters in curtin university will i get a job after my masters??)
Fly in , fly out . Most mine sites are in mid to Northern WA and it's either a day or two drive or a 2 - 4 hour flight . So flying is easier , more relaxing and the mining company pays for the flights .

@@OzzyVanLife Thank you. We are looking at the 2008 mid wheel base. Nice and tall roof.
look after your marbles.
Don't let them drop on the ground .
They are better looked after in that
Velvet draw in your mind 😂

G'day, just a question, how are the bugs where you work. Are there alot of mosquitos?
Cheers
There are no mosquitoes as there are too many flies😂

How did u get into the mines cleaning could u send me information about this please
How do you power your slow cooker. Thanks 👍
Where to you park your car while you at the mine?
Great to see you back. Have you ever been up to Dalby or Broome? Is it safe for me (solo chick traveller) to do on my own in your opinion?
I didn't make it that far as my van broke down just out of Port Hedland but hope to get that way soon.
