Every time I want to reach tomb of valleities, I see this event. It seems like there's no one left in the world to watch their act and the dancers are just waiting to be forgotten, but then YOU appear and change that horrific destiny, at least for a little while. They are happy to perform once again, and they do the best they can to entertain you, but they're sad at the same time, fearing that this is gonna be the last time they will perform for someone ever again. It's so bittersweet.
There's something so desolate yet beautiful about Urotsuki traveling so far to see two isolated performers all the way out here. She's the only one who showed up. Nobody else is here. Do they need her? Or does she need them?
It's really interesting to me that your first trip to the forgotten megalopolis (and thus the tomb) will almost certainly go through here, and that this is a mandatory event to view in order to gain access. You can't even get past the room without looking at this first. It feels like a warning of some sort, or maybe a disclaimer that what you're about to see and experience comes from the heart, and is in some way an act of it. Or maybe I'm reading into it too much. Either way this makes me feel deeply.
this song makes me feel like this is my last day alive. i'm remembering everything i've done in the past. i feel this nostalgic feeling. but at the same time i feel this dreadful feeling, like i'm about to die. i wanna say goodbye to my family, just in case this gut feeling is right, but if it's not, i don't want to scare my family.
this reminds me of this one steampunk ya novel i read when i was little, and i remember a scene where the main character found her brother, but his heart had been replaced with clockwork and he was stuck performing for the mayor of the town or something. i don't remember the title but hopefully someone out there remembers
Currently in a dark and maddening period of my life. This song brings me bittersweet memories, it helps me get thru days like these. I really relate to Yume Nikki since I suffer night terrors since I was a kid. The "dreamscapes" convey pretty much the abstract nature of my nightmares.
Every now and again when my college classes get too much, I end up coming here and using the song as background music. It's somber, but in an odd way it helps me finish my stuff. I'm thankful for this existing.
Attempt at a lyricisation (?) of this awesome track, because I'm mentally ill. Through the dim spotlight's glow, together, yet alone, Going in circles, yet never finding a stop, Chasing still after your saddened and lonely Soul, Following footprints we left centuries ago. Just like the Sun (Moon) and the Moon (Sun) and dance around the Earth, We are forever attracted by distant warmth. Knowing, our eyes blind, and hearing, our bodies numb, Still pushing through after rust overtook it all. Love of mine, can you hear distant and lonely hums, Grinding of gears, sorrowed cries of a precious heart, That you and I once created, just for this act? Stop, if you hear me, for you I'm still reaching out. We have completed our circle, I beg you, halt, You are so near, but our dance yet again must start. Through the dim's spotlight's glow, together, yet alone... (And the loop begins anew, and will continue, until the performance ends.)
Wow, this is beautiful!! You really captured the feelings of this event and song. I love the similes/description you used, it reminds me a little of Renaissance poetry with the astrological imagery. :)
This song and Antiquated Resthouse help me sleep at night. It's always hard, always need to distract myself from thoughts, and this one helps me just fine with that it's yume 2kki soundtrack's feature to be made of short loops. I was always impressed with how much these short loops are relistenable for a long time and this loop in particular feels heavy, almost like a weight in my chest. almost makes me cry. this is just the thing to get comfort from, even if it feels like desolation from the outside world sometimes
I'm gonna be real blunt here, for the longest time I HATED 2kki, I can't emphatize enough how much I used to dislike this game when I first played it, I only softened to it very recently with the online version and thanks to that I found this guy's maps (and I'm glad I did) And honestly this event hits hard, even if it's an extremely basic cutscene of two npcs following a simple movement pattern without many fancy details, as someone who used to be a performer (nothing big, I just played percussion in a local music academy :P) when I was in the stage it felt like it was only me, the rest of my group and the few people in the audience I cared about, be them my parents, friends or whatever, the lone theater reminds me of that feeling of "Idc if only that one person looks at my direction, as long as I can brighten the day of someone I care about I'm doing well" On the other hand one of my biggest interests has always been urban exploring, even though I can't do it a lot 'cause I'm scared I'll get in legal trouble (lol), I always liked the feeling of seeing life finding a way and thriving in places that were abandoned by people, and from Urotsuki's perspective this event evokes that same feeling to me, it's a feeling that, in a way, nothing gets truly left behind It's just neat how this event managed to capture the feelings I have towards two entirely different things so perfectly
They're not too sharp its just a piano pitched down. The notes are the Bb > F > Gb right above middle c on a keyboard, slowed down to 85 bpm from about 145 originally

Do they need her? Or does she need them?
Both need each other, maybe...
Everyone else is gone.
Wow this comment is deep and beautifully poetic at the same time
yeah.
"It's the first time I have ever taken a friend here"
These words are some I will never forget
They were wired without love.
Made with a mechanical heart
Best comment.
real.
best 58s loop i've ever had pleasure to expereince (god i'm so glad i didn't go through with taking my life 4 years ago)
I don’t know you but I’m glad you didn’t either!
I'm glad you didn't as well, and hopefully you're doing a lot better now.
HELL YEAHH!!!!
its so beautifully somber, and faintly nostalgic in a way. just stunning. my number 1 favorite track

I'm coming back to this soundtrack every day
it's been a year now
and i still love it with all my heart
it's been almost 2 years and I'm still coming back here
i could genuinely listen to this all day and not get tired, it evokes one of these feelings you just can't describe with words

This music its incredibly well made
I can feel alot of emotions on this one...
This song helped me through such a hard time in my life.

Relaxing
does... does anyone else hear super faint screaming in the background of this track? seriously, listen closely with headphones in
i know what youre talking about but i dont believe its screaming, just some background sound
@@reshadert sounds a lot like it, that's kinda creepy though
YES I DO!! Gosh that’s chilling :(
It sounded more like something whining to me, like a dog.
Alongside that creaking noise too.

Built to love.
This song reminds me of my oc who went through some bad stuff (including the death of her father) but her heart still continues on
Man this is so special

Damm, i wanna drink more wiskey when i listening this
could you do power plant? no one's really uploaded the version in game where it's slowed down
Sure.

It feels kind of out of place in Yume 2kki. Not that that is a bad thing. I think it is just Yume 2kki songs don't usually sound this emotional.
What a nice song, it's sad that Rio is problematic 😕
