The first rpg i bought on the PS1 ..what a game it was
Oh sure, 3 battle systems and better unite atacks than chrono trigger while being a pokemon collectathon for 108. A nice way to celebrate ps1 let alone it loaded fast too.
First actual rpg I played. Such a special game.

i want they change 3 i want the main charactor to be hugo and the story from start to finish to be about hugo, and i want the battle system to be like suikoden 2

@@nickname5268 The trinity system was cool, I liked seeing 3 different perspectives on the story with their own recruitable characters and getting the option to choose your flame champion. Don't change it, if anything improve it.
And 5, then hire a dev studio to make 6.

Ok, here’s a freebie tip for anyone looking to play. There’s a town in the upper left corner of the map. You can leave the castle BEFORE GOING HOME for the first time. If you do you get a special late game rune EARLY. Good luck getting there at lvl 1 by yourself. ;)

I never thought i would get to see this come back around. My first ps1 rpg, before i knew what a memory card was! That Zombie Dragon and I have a past!!!

I like how the intro looks like it could have come out of the PS1 era actually, with the 2D sprites and the early 3D graphics of background objects. Not sure if intentional, but it does fit the bill here

@@RiseAgainst369 The only regressive thing is AAA industry where games gets stagnant and overly expensive rehashed and underwhelming titles. And SMTV isnt anywhere near AAA budget, lol
@@suiken3149 tbh I don’t know what is the threshold of budget to be considered AAA game. However my point still stands; there is a saturation of remakes on the market. Abolishing AAA is not going to enhance gaming if money doesn’t go to fresh concepts but endless remasters of nostalgia trips.
Incredibly hyped for the return of Suikoden I & II! They're even coming out the same month as Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition.

Remake Suikoden 3 and after with Suikoden I & II style game, or updated it to like Eiyuuden, need lot of work, but work well guaranteed.

This update is needed; compared to Suikoden 2 all the characters looked like they had downs.
Not trying to sound like a hater but I don't see how anyone can be exited for this, it's literally the same two games with SLIGHTLY better graphics, nothing even that significant to make me want to buy a remaster. I own and have beaten both over 15 times already. I honestly want to hear from you guys as to what makes this so exciting for you. What they needed to do is REBOOT the games in the same 2D style with different hero, characters, towns and map, and also allowing surprise cameos from the first two games. I WOULD LOSE MY FREAKING MIND. When they switched to 3D for the rest of the series it was just insanely corny to me. I hated the 3D style so much that after playing the third one for barely an hour, i stopped playing altogether and never finished the series. They should have kept the game in the 2D format for the entire franchise. That would have made the game even more popular

The sounds when selecting options in this game feel very sharp, loud and annoying, can you make it softer and less annoying like the original version?
I often see and hear it in game demos during battles.

I hope Konami will make a remake of Suikoden 3, 4 and 5 in 2D or 2.5D platform. The 3D Suikoden versions didn't capture the charm of the first two Suikoden titles in my opinion.
