This oozes so much charm and talent I can’t stop smiling. What Jane and Bing are doing looks so simple but is vastly difficult. This is some of the hardest type of material to pull off and they do it MAGNIFICENTLY!!!
Have you seen her and Bing sing, "In The Cool, Cool, Cool Of The Evening" from the movie, "Here Comes The Groom"? Another phenomenal performance by both of them!
For those of you who want to see Jane Wyman sing in other films: Hollywood Canteen, Night and Day, Here Comes The Groom. Jane and Bing sang 'In The Cool, Cool, Cool Of The Evening'...a big Oscar winner...
This is brilliant and i should know i wrote every "Zong" that was ever recorded by ZUIDER ZEE (Columbia Records CBS) I love these kinds of VIBES. And, coincidentally, Light In The Attic Records is releasing 13 never before heard songs by me-----> lead singer/guitarist for ZUIDER ZEE. Thank you Thomas Priakos for turning me on to this great clip from Bing Crosby and Jane Wyman. And thank you Harry Warren and Leo Robins for you'r Oscar Nominated song here, "Zing A Little Zong" (ZUIDER ZEE) Coming soon in 2018, "ZEENITH" by ZUIDER ZEE."

Just saw the movie yesterday evening. In this delightful song, Bing Crosby shows (on purpose) that he isn't as young as he once was: he struggles to do the duck movements and fails to throw his leg over the banister. This is in keeping with the theme of the movie (watch it if you can, it's great).
I love this film and the song is just terrific. I read somewhere that Bing wanted Judy Garland for his co-star but she turned it down. Can you imagine if it had been her singing this song with Bing? Now, I love Jane Wyman and thought she did a great job but it would have been so wonderful to have had Judy and Bing in a film together.
Remembering Bing Crosby born on May 3, 1903. He was an American singer and actor. The first multimedia star, he was one of the most popular and influential musical artists of the 20th century worldwide. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bing_Crosby
I haven't seen this one , I do love Bing & Jane . I've only seen one Jane Wyman film and that was Pollyanna . Crosby , I've seen many of his , especially the " Road to ' s " with him , Bob Hope , and Dorothy Lamour . 2 years after he did this , he did " White Christmas " with him , Danny Kaye , Vera Ellen , and Rosemary Clooney . 2 years after that , he did " Anything Goes " with him , Donald O' Connor , and Mitz Gaynor . Crosby ( 1903 - 1977 ) & Wyman ( 1914 - 2007 )
Now this is entertainment! Never again will we see the likes of this kind of class act! The lyricist, composers, the singer and actress all were something very special; graced with that "IT" quality, a talent for entertainment which made them celebrities. Today all on has to do is murder someone or sink to the lowest denominator of bad behavior and wham bang instant celebrity! I'll take Bing and Jane any day......
As pessoas de uma certa idade TEEM respeito por todos os outros. E assim obrigada por lembrar e sempre bonito pois estes artistas quem os viu mesmo a muitos anos não esquece vi só em alguns filmes .
@marshamc Was "Just For You" was made at MGM or another studio? I read that Judy was approached by Bing to star with him in a movie. I doubt Judy would go back to the studio she called "The haunted house" Besides MGM fired her. Judy knew if she that making a film at that time would mean losing weight for the film & back to the regiment of meds. Also, Bing was one of the very few loyal pals who genuinely stood by Judy when Metro fired her. + She was a guest on his radio program many times
Zing zing zing a little zong with me, I know we're not bezide the Zuider Zee, but when you're zittin' by the zide of me, I want to zing a little zong. So nice! Zuider Zee is now called IJsselmeer! We have a Dutch song about the Zuider Zee: de Zuiderzeeballade. In 1933 the Zuider Zee became IJsselmeer (the Netherlands)
I had never heard de Zuiderzeeballade before; I don't understand a word they're singing, but it's very pretty! Zing A Little Zong always makes me think of the song Sippin' Cider By the Zuyder Zee. :)
EU REALMENTE GOSTO MUITO DE VER ALGO DO CINEMA ANTIGO EU ERA MUITO JOVEM E VIA ALGUNS DESTES ARTISTAS HOJE REVEJO NO TH-cam E ENVIU PARA VÁRIAS PESSOAS E PEÇO DESCULPA MAS AS PESSOAS DE UMA CERTA IDADE GOSTAM JÁ PARTIRAM A MAIORIA DELES.OS ARTISTAS JÁ SE VÊ.
I can hardly understand 2 words outta 10, but it was all worth it to see Bing dancing hilariously. XD Plus, they're a good duet, though their words are thoroughly unintelligible. But don't mind me, I'm hard of hearing. They could be singing perfect English and I could probably mistake them for speaking French.
Kiwi any word that started with an "S" or had an "S" in it (ie music) was pronounced with a "Z"....hence Sing a Little Song is pronounced/sung as "Zing a little Zong"
Awesome great talent and I miss how people dressed properly. I am old enough toremember my folks geting dressed up for parties, today people look like bums....
Beginning at 29 the zoftig extra in the skin tight white sheath in the chorus was trying all her worth to get some attention. Surprised Jane, the great pro, allowed it.
Back when the Studio System of every Motion Picture studio trained and groomed their stars to Act, sing and dance! Nowadays they rely on sex appeal instead of actual talent
This oozes so much charm and talent I can’t stop smiling. What Jane and Bing are doing looks so simple but is vastly difficult. This is some of the hardest type of material to pull off and they do it MAGNIFICENTLY!!!
תודה רבה על השיתוף בנושא הזה של בינג קרוסבי המפורסם, כוכב עולמי גדול של מוסיקה וקולנוע, הוא הביא לי זיכרונות טובים מאוד.חיבוק גדול מירושלים.
"Don't get lost." - Jane
The repartee between Bing & Jane is great!
I love this song. Bing and Jane are brilliant together!
In the first ever Christmas charts, 1952, great song!
I agree that they are brilliant together ❤

Absolutely a masterpiece I love it
I've always loved this number!
So fantastic, so brilliant.
WOW ! Ina clip that's less than 5 minutes you understand why they were such big stars....Bravo !
Bing was the blueprint that all the other crooners came from!
This is my favorite part of the movie. :) I love the song.
It makes me happy! Im glad somebody else likes it too!
:D it's a great song!
Lucky woman getting to be that close to the gorgeous Bing.
Thank you soo much for posting this wonderful clip.
This song was nominated for an Academy Award in 1952. But 1952 was also the year "Singing in the Rain" came out.. Great clip thanks!
....and High Noon won it.
It CLEARLY should have won over "High Noon". The list is long for why.
Delightfully perfect. Such timeless talent here!
I had never heard of this movie, thanks for sharing! And what a cute song
For those of you who want to see Jane Wyman sing in other films: Hollywood Canteen, Night and Day, Here Comes The Groom. Jane and Bing sang 'In The Cool, Cool, Cool Of The Evening'...a big Oscar winner...
The gowns are lovely.
Oh I loved this. I wish they could make films like this now. (“La La Land” came close.)
Прекрасное видео! Большое спасибо!
This got in the British pop charts.x

Angela Channing way back in the 50's Awesome. In the 1985-86 season of Falcon crest Jane had the same hair style. Very Class act!
I feel like her hair usually looked like that

!the 2:40 mark--the young woman Bing is leaning on is Julie Newmar-- Catwoman from the Batman TV series

Indeed, it is she!

@Crintingnut "Just for You" is available on DVD as a double bill with Bing & Jane in "Here Comes the Groom".

Paramount. Bing was under contract to them from the early 30's until 1956.
Slam Stewart plays the bass during the opening.
Bing and Mrs Reagan .
Btw - Is there any movie that the Gipper sang in ?
That would be something to see !
what do ya know, It's Angela Channing singing with Bing! Jane was a great talent..!

I would love to know what movie this song is in its great song and film
7 people must hate happy music.
😂 for real
Didn’t know they had colorised this movie it’s originally in black and white. Here comes the groom.❤
Think I may have the wrong movie , think it’s from “just for you”.❤😂
Would love to know what movie this song is in

She sang in choruses and choirs before becoming an actress
Ganz neu für mich. Jane Wyman als Sängerin. Klingt sehr gut.
Slam Stewart on bass, I think...
it hard to believe Jane Wyman used to be in falcon crest
Awesome great talent and I miss how people dressed properly. I am old enough toremember my folks geting dressed up for parties, today people look like bums....
Please remind which movie this is in?
In India, music director called OP Nayyar copied this tune for his song soon soon soon jalima, pyar hum ko tum se ho gaya
Beginning at 29 the zoftig extra in the skin tight white sheath in the chorus was trying all her worth to get some attention. Surprised Jane, the great pro, allowed it.

Hmm.... you might be right. I see zero sex appeal in this scene.
@@hapgood22 Bing was subtle sexy. Gorgeous looking man.
Do you really think today's film actors have 'sex appeal'? It's more like 'sex disgust'!
Wasn't it nice when women dress like beautiful women and men looked so distinguished. Now go and look at what people look like today.
