I think Arsenio had the funkiest and most energetic theme music of all the late night shows. I was too young to understand the jokes, but I knew the woofs were cheers and that music was damn awesome.
This never should’ve been canceled and honestly, had David Letterman gotten the tonight show after Johnny Carson retired in 92 and not moved over to CBS, it might still be ruling the late night airwaves, or it would’ve lasted longer than it did at least; from what I understand, CBS affiliates were the largest group of stations that carried Arsenio‘s show.

He had to hype up the dogg pound for Ed Asner and Zsa Zsa Gabor.

I remember when our elementary school had guest speakers the principal had to tell us beforehand not to do the Arsenio Hall WoofWoofWoof.
