- Hi!
No music. No talking. Just work.
If you are taking your APPLE MACBOOK A1181 laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
Have fun and good luck!!
regazzz
P.S. There is no reassemble video - that's why I have created a special channel for Backwards Playback Support for
each video that is missing reassemble. It is not the best possible solution obviously but better than nothing.

At last! A decent video with no crappy music! Awesome video, very helpful
Thanks a lot! I think I removed to many screws ... some screws you don't need to remove in order to take out a palmrest. Be very careful, while you will unscrews this screws. Make sure you will unscrew it firm, push it harder because if you will somehow try it you may damage a screw head and it will be pain in the ass to remove it after that.
Awesome video... the MacBook of a friend have the CD player not working... I would open to clean it (probably it's just dirty)... but I really can't take off all those screws and to the same thing you did!
You are welcome!
Do you have Santa Rosa/ Penryn or regular macbook? There is a light difference.
Macbook parts are pretty delicate, all laptops are delicate things. Be careful with static electricity. Don't bend motherboard. Some cable connecters are very fragile. The most fragile connector in Santa Rosa and in Penryn is a left speaker cable connector. Be very careful with screws, especially on the battery area. If you will strip them, it will bad. Apply screwdriver firm, but be careful!
thank you so much. just one question what does the internal battery look like? the Mac is so different then the PC's I'm used to taking apart.
So to upgrade to add, I just need to take out the battery and screws and bracket around battery? Great vid
i agree with martin molohon, you should pay attention to details because people who watched your video want to learn from you like myself.you should be professional in your job and accept mistake because no one is above that.
thanks man you halped a lot!😏😁
Great video. Aside upgrading Ram and hard drive, what other components are upgradeable?
+4423Scott That's it. CPU is glued let's call it to a logic board... so yeah, nothing else to upgrade.
Watched the whole thing, to not see the one thing I was looking for. The keyboard disassembly. Seems you "ripped'" it off and laughed about it. PS, no way I would let you near one of my computers, way heavy handed. Did you take note of the scratched you put on the screen during the disassembly.
mac guru2you I disassembled about 500 of this A1181. And it was funny for me because usually palmrest comes out a different way. If you were a mac guru, you would not bother to look how to disassemble a keyboard, because it is like glued, soldered to a palmrest and it is easier to buy a new complete palmrest anyway than wasting time. That's why I would never work for you :)
regazzz He is also a youtube guru that doesn't know about skipping ahead to just the keyboard part. Instead watches the entire thing while taking notes of all his complaints. At this rate that poor keyboard will never get fixed lol.
I like your style
:) Thank you, I hope you will fix everything!
Thanks a lot!
You can either buy a first CD, maybe on eBay. Or you can, also on eBay, find a HDD with pre-installed iOS
Impressive. But can you put it back together tho 🤔 ( 9 years later ). 😂
The whole idea was to take apart and not to put together. I can reassemble laptops. It is easy as long as you keep track of screws.
It's more like 11 years later 🤔
Lol your broke the clips by the DVD drive
I guess ooops! ;-)
Thanks!
pro dude
Jajajajajaja a lo bestia lo abrió jajajaja.
Ahí tenías una tarjeta para deslizarla.
Ola vc saberia informar qual e o sistema operacional deste macbook????????????????????????
gerson casro cavalheiro Hello, I would just "google it" for A1181 Penryn iOS.I am really not sure what exact iOS was there.
gerson casro cavalheiro I think you can put even 10.6 in it.
mac os x tiger
Thanks good
Great video Thanks!!
Awesome!!!!
You know, some people need music and explanations, but in my opinion it is unnecessary.
I actually like girls taking laptops apart, if you watch videos on TH-cam about macbooks etc. mmmm much better than my videos :)))
Now do a video puting it back together.
I can, but I don't have it, so please plan accordingly. :-)
04:37 who is going to send to fix his notebook where a brute like that
This video is a take apart for parts, not a repair. Fixing someone else's computer is much more delicate process. Cheers.
:) Thanks!
Muito show.
Good Thing.
This video has a lot of bitchy comments. Shit happens man
what a sloppy tech
Eduardas Kubilinskas shit happens. Welcome to a laptop hell! :)
🤣 🤣 🤣
Thank you!
