You should do a build where deli chooses some furniture and then puts it in the inventory and then you'd have to build a house surrounding the furniture she chooses? :))

I like older styles. I'd live in this mansion in an instant (if I could afford it of course, lol), but I would hate to live in a really modern place. I like homes that feel like they have a long history.

i do like how some modern homes look but i find modern interior to be so impersonal. but a nice richly elegant 1900's style just feels awesome, you know? gorgeous furniture, lots of fun
watching this was a treat. my reactions consisted of holding up the "ok" sign every time James made an exceptionally good designing detail, and also thinking "that's a lot of chairs. so many chairs."
Yes, yes and yes. This is definitely 'Yes' material. Would I use? deffo, because my snobby sims with their 'vintage glamour stuff' need a place like this to live. James + Deli make it brill tho.
We've got modern family house with real, old, vintage furniture. It exists.😊
Mind if I ask, how did it come to be? Like did you just have a bunch of antique furniture lying around you couldn't bring yourselves to sell or?
How old do you consider old? Like, 70 years or 200 years?
I have a modern house and my furniture is a bit eclectic. I have mainly wooden furniture that ranges from 10 years old to approx 100 years old. I've also seen a lot of houses that have super old furniture and everything else is brand new. I happens a lot where I live when people move in off of farms in their retirement abd being all their old furniture with them .
I love that corner fireplace in the kid's bedroom, with the quarter placed wood tiles for the floor. So many cool tricks in the furnishing of this build. Love it.

James and Deli all day all the time. You are the main 2 i watch all the time. I watch them over and over sometimes. Yall are just the main ones. I play sims 3 and 4 but with a crappy laptop its not easy to do so. But i still love doing.

I’d love a new mansion/house with an old interior/furniture because old looking or specifically 1700’s/1800’s France looking furniture makes everything feel a kind of cozy. And it gives even with just an object a rich feel to a room.
I LOVE your ideas for furnishings in this build, you made the house look so interesting and nice inside! I wish you liked furnishing more, this was such a treat!

I LIKE MODERN HOMES WITH OLD INTERIOR. Like art deco or 50's futurism kitsch. Or a modern house with 60s hippie interior and those horrible green and blue tinted toilets and showers that I love. victorian modern sounds interesting too.

I feel like the house contradicts itself but in a good way. it has some family friendly vibes but also has some elegant rooms. Very great build Deli and excellent furnishing James!
My grandfather actually lives in a modern home with old furniture. My grandparents took some of their furniture with them when they had to move to a new place in town (80 year olds shouldnt climb ladders, and need the store and doctor within walking or taxi distance). Since they couldnt keep all they kept their favorites, like the stuff they had inherited from older relatives. Since they bought the place before it was done they could also chose things like the cabinet doors in kitchen and bathroom, so they obviously choose the old fashioned style doors they were used to.
It is a bit of a surprise when you walk in, cause you have this really modern building, and you walk in the door and look straight at a victorian sitting group. Tho, to be fair, the lace curtains should have given you a warning.
There is no such thing as too much collaboration between you two. Nice work, and Keep it up!

I'm a little bit late, but watching this video and seeing the huge dining table gave me flashbacks from one of my favorite movies in my childhood: Barbie in the 12 Dancing Princesses (as the table has 12 chairs around it + 2 chairs at the ends)! :3

If you have bb.moveobjects on then you can place lights on each other to make the house more bright and you don't have to have all the lights around the build.

I actually like builds that aren't finished... Especially when I'm moving my sims and I want to keep all their furniture. I typically look on the gallery for unfurnished houses with the rooms defined.

So I love this build and I'm definitely downloading this ! But I felt like this "tudor" mansion could have been a place where crazy talented Sims live and max most skills. With that I thought that the furnishing would have catered to a lot more skills and careers. But I love what you did with it James.

I'd do the other way around.
I'd love to build an old styled house (half-timbered house // Fachwerk in german) with new Windows and stuff and then a mixture of old and new interior because I'm totally in love with Vinyls for example but I also love modern TVs.
And then I want a really old fashioned fireplace in my house and a few old lamps ... I have such an irrational taste with furniture :D

My granny just moved into a modern home but the inside is quite old with her furniture therefore feels very old inside even though the kitchen is quite modern!!
