Can the Q7 return to base and self-empty while the mop is attached? Also can Q7 vacuum with the mop attached full-time, but with Mopping functionality turned "OFF" ?
Hi, I am thinking about buying Roborock Q7 Max+, however have questions I coudnt find in any specification or review. 1. If the dust container gets full during cleaning, will it go automatically to the station to empty the container and afrerwards get back to last position and continue with the cleaning? Or the container is being emptied only when cleaning is finished? 2. For moping can I use water with vinegar? 3. Can I set the vacuuming + moping everywhere except carpets, and when finished send the robot to vacuum only the carpets (without getting the carpets wet as I guess there still will be some leftover water in the container)? I usually use my current robot remotly when I am not home, so it would be nice being able to set this remotly via app. Could you please advise? Thanks :)
depends how much you care about mopping. If you do it regularly then S7 will do it more efficiently and you can let the mop attached on the vacuum. If you barely mop then Q7 max plus wins for the auto empty feature.
@@AndyFerdean yeah, bought it the day I commented above. The auto collection is a life saver, actually lasts around 7 weeks in a house with dogs and cats. The suction is better than the S5 max, but by double I'm not sure. The mopping is the same as the S5 max. It has a few extra features in the app too. Now I leave the S5 upstairs and the q7 downstairs, the only problem is I still have to vacuum the stairs. Let me know if you have any other questions
@@DashDrones thanks for the feedback! Very helpful. In my country the Q7 Max without the cleaning station is just 50$ more than the S5 Max. While the power seems double on paper, in real life, it seems like a 10% cleaning improvement from what I've seen on other videos. I would go for the Q7 Max because it's newer and has that new easier to clean main brush and that 3D feature (which might be a gimmick anyway), but being newer it should be longer supported by software updates. Also the Hepa filter is smaller, which might not be good. But I got to ask, is the Q7 way more louder than the S5 Max?
Thanks for the review :) I have question regarding mopping and carpets. If I set carpets as no-mop zone and remove the mopping pad after cleaning, can I easily&quickly send the robot to vacuum only the carpets?
@@ItsSamuelJones and is it possible to have these saved? To have the no mop zone saved and just send the robot with one click to vaccum and mop & also having the carpets zone saved? Or do I have to select manually everytime on map where the carpets are and send the robot there? Thank you
Perhaps u cn help? S7 = 380 euros Q7 = 300 euros Q7 with autoempty dock =450 euros Is the S7 worth the 80 euro premium (without empty dock)? I do have a small carpet down stairs (cow hide actually) and upstairs one thick carpet. But if u can setup 2 no mopping zones instead of auto detect it May perhaps be fine? Whats ur thoughts? I also see the q7 has not got the obstacle avoidance that s7 does
the S7 has no obstacle avoidance, that's the S7 maxv, totally different price. And yes, you can setup manually no mopping zones. (I know your comment is 3 months old but whatever)
Check out the Q7 Max+ here: roborock.pxf.io/mgBG7q

One thing is how does the battery hold up? if you have carpets and it uses alot more.
Thanks for this fun review xD Had some laughs and so glad it's in English xD was scrolling youtube for an English review on this Roborock, great job!
Haha thanks! Glad you enjoyed.
I wonder how good this Q7 max is vs S5 Max.
I enjoy your reviews. Your impressions are honest too.
I have a question! Can the robot ride up onto a 20mm high change of surface?

You can set up no mop zone.
I have mine and I love it
This work in carpet ??? And carpet is too wet or just wet a little quickly dry ??? Please help me
Thanks for the video. What would you buy between Q7 max plus or S7 the normal version?

Great review ! Thank you for sharing !
Excellent review, my 3 year old S5 Max is not as good as it used to be. This base station and robot suction is amazing. Gonna buy one. Cheers!
Hope you enjoy it!
@@ItsSamuelJones cheers
@@DashDrones did you buy it? How is it vs the S5 Max. I'm trying to pick one of them.

does it gets the cat litter sand? / stone bits
yes!
Thanks! 🙏🏼
Nice !
How did you get it to go back and forth? Mine just maped the flat really badly 😂
This was a great review, i hope it does well for you.
Thank you!
This is an ad not a review.
No, I put it through a harder test than anyone tbh.
can't work without wifi, you can't use your phone's hotspot. No different level mapping, aka you'd need 2 for a 2 floor house...
My Neato gets all the cheerios I did the same test
You need to improve your eating habits.
What part of "a test" do you not understand.

I think the autoempty dock is the key feature. I had a similar dilemma and in the end opted for the Q7 Max +
