- I know I've heard "Highway To Hell" by AC/DC before, and even though I thought it was on a rollercoaster, I was reminded after filming that this was in the movie Iron Man. OF COURSE! But I've only ever done one deep dive into Brian Johnson's vocals, so I couldn't wait to dig into another live version with him at the reins!
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to AC/DC performing "Highway To Hell" for the first time LIVE at River Plate.

I bet Brian would agree to an interview. He's a really down to earth chap, and has a great TH-cam channel of his own.
+1
Watch him and Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) behaving like life long buddies, and exchanging music trivia.
I know he would, he's a great guy.
Absolutely! 👍
seconded, Brain totally would do a tea-time with Elizabeth, and he likely would do his homework too, checking out what Liz is all about and geek out on her abilities as much as she does about his.
And I'm absolutely here for that
RIP Malcolm Young. The band's unsung hero and one of the greatest rhythm guitarists ever
Amen.
I remember an interview with Angus from the late 80’s when they asked if Malcom would ever play a lead. Angus replied, “Malcom doesn’t like to play lead, he says it interferes with his drinking.”
Thats amazing@@bstaff1901
@@JoeFolgers Angus always gives a good interview.
@bstaff1901 in an interview, Angus said that Malcolm could do anything that Angus did, but admitted that he couldn't play rhythm like his brother.
A side note, Malcolm Young, Angus' brother and rhythm guitarist of AC/DC, was battling dementia during this tour and was relearning the songs every night. A true legend.
holy shit that's impressive, inspiring and terrifying
Best right hand in the business.
So sad, but inspiring that he was going to rock as long as possible.
That's incredible! I wonder if muscle memory helped him to remember once he got going.
Really? I knew he was battling dementia but was it that bad having to relearn songs?
Interesting that you bring out how AC/DC leaves "space" in their songs. They are written for concerts and audience participation, and they never disappoint.
"Even for a heavy, aggressive sound...this feels uplifting." You just nailed the essence of AC/DC, Elizabeth. Rock on! 🤘🎸
Wow, thank you!
Yep. As another famous rocker once stated (live on TV)... ".. and that's how it's done, folks!"
Exactly. For all the gritty sound and lyrics, it's simply fun. Just watch the audience.
Exactly 😊
A fun semi-related fact: The majority of AC/DC songs utilize the Mixolydian Mode. It is less "happy" than major, but less "dark" than minor
When the crowd starts singing THE GUITAR RIFF and not just the vocal parts, that's when you know a song is huge.
Tbf the concert is in Argentina, we pretty much always sing the riffs.
That stadium was the epicenter for an earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale for the entire concert. ROCK ON AC/DC!!!
This was actually the second to last song in the concert. Incredible to think about when you see and feel the energy from both the band and the audience!
"Highway to Hell" is the nickname of "Highway in Australia", which runs through where original singer Bon Scott lived and ends at a bar called "The Raffles". As the highway comes to an end, it turns into a steep decline and because of this, many drivers have been killed driving fast over that intersection.
Also, the fact that you can actually see the cameras shaking from how much the crowd is jumping is insane. Love the energy and definitely is one of the most epic concerts of all time.
What's the name of that long highway from I guess Melbourne to western Australia? That also has some kind of sinister name
Ah, the Canning Highway.
@@michaelxz1305 The Eyre Highway runs east-west across the Nullarbor.
@Cadinho93 Canning Highway - I know it well and have driven on it many, many times since the 1970s :) Technically it does not end at the Raffles Hotel - its carries on through the suburbs towards Perth. The 'hell stretch' AC/DC refer to is the segment between Fremantle and the old Raffles Hotel.
The only song I specifically remember from an amusement ride is Slow Ride from Foghat on the Musik Express/Himalaya ride that is sort of a very short circular roller coaster.
You can easily tell when in the concert a song takes place with AC/DC live, due to how much clothing Angus has on. You will probably be surprised by this fact, but this was actually the second to last song of the concert, showing you how well supported his voice truly is! You HAVE to check out the last song of this concert now, "For Those About To Rock (We Salute You)", which is the loudest thing I have ever heard live at any concert I've been to, (and I've been to a LOT.) You want to see an epic conclusion to a concert...well...they don't go silently and they make a lasting impact. (The concert I attended ended the same way...and I couldn't hear for a couple days...but it was worth it! And yes, if you do check it out, they are REAL!)
Greatest encore ever… I get chills every time the opening riff starts. The canons… the way the tempo speeds up at the end… it’s impossible to top it.
:) ears rang for a week.
Same... I thought I had sacrificed my hearing to the Gods of Rock n Roll. Lol
when i saw them, the rolled out a huge cannon on stage , was amazing.
I absolutely second that! I'm still crying that of all the big bands, AC/DC slipped past me. Either working or sick or away... Managed Metallica, Iron Maiden, ZZ Top and Pink Floyd, but this, this is the one that got away...
brian johnson has one of the most well known bluesy raspy groovy voices in rock today
Only one rule to remember with AC/DC. Never, never, never interrupt an Angus Young guitar solo.
This was AC/DC Live At River Plate was recorded in Buenos Aires in when nearly 200,000 fans (over 3 nights). You can just feel the energy through the screen.
When they pan back & show the crowd jumping in waves...gah!! You just wanna be there!!
The best ever crowd on the rock concert!🤟
Best review by the Best Band ever
As a reaction channel that has started doing AC/DC, you're contractually obligated to do Back In Black at some point.
100%! The GOAT intro riff
Today is his birthday he’s 76 today . 🤘🤘 76 years old and still rockin!!!!
I saw AC/DC Oct 8th 1979 at the Fox Theater in Atlanta Ga. Pat Travers was the opening act. Tickets were $7.50 in a 3,784 seat theater. I took my 18 year old son ,who had never been to a major rock concert, on Oct. 23rd. 2009 at Philips Arena for the Black Ice tour. Tickets were $93.50 in a 18,000 seat venue. He was blown away. I'll never forget those two dates.
I really want to see a reaction any studio track from back in black to truly appreciate Brian's vocals
When I was at college, the State school across town had a clock that tolled the hours. On weekends, when quiet hours weren't an issue, one student over there would grab his guitar, put the amp in his dorm window, and when the clock struck midnight he'd play the intro to "Hell's Bells."
She mainly listens to live versions...so she can see what they look like singing...but often the studio versions are superior...
@@mikewiest5135 Wish she would do a double feature and follow up the live react with a studio one, less analysis necessary... would be cool
Brian sounded like crap here imo
@@mikewiest5135 Another reason for live versions is to actually hear the voice. Most studio track have multiple layers of vocal track as well as audio tweaking done to them.
By doing live version you can hear what they actually sound like.
This is one of the best concerts in history of rock n roll!!! The crowd was epic and the band was on spot
Nothing like an AC/DC concert, moves EVERYONE, pure hard rock.
I would love to hear you analyze the same song by Bon Scott. Maybe even a side by side comparison? There is live footage of Bon singing this song in concert too. A processional analysis of both vocalists would be unique and awesome. NOT to pick one or the other, but to just see how this one band managed to have two amazing singers who contributed to the legacy of the band. I truly love both, I can't pick one as better, but they were uniquely different. What would be similar? What would be different? It would be an interesting different type of reaction video.
BON ❤
Yes I prefer Bin
AC/DC - Let There Be Rock (Apollo Theatre, Glasgow, April 1978) and AC/DC - Whole Lotta Rosie (1979 Paris)
Are 2 great Live performances with Bon Scott from the late 70s. Plus you get to see Angus running around the stage, he never stops moving, hes like the energizer bunny.
Great suggestions! Sooner or later she’s gonna have to check out the old stuff
yes
As much as I love Bon Scott, his vocals weren't that great. you can argue he was more charismatic. but vocally, Brian took them to a whole another level.
@@boooozeedI strongly disagree. I never cared for Brian's vocals. Bon is one of my favorites.
@@stevenscharmer1765 Brian's vocals are objectively better, that's why even vocal coaches prefer him over Bon.
One of the very best bands I've ever seen live, and probably the most energetic. Their music is charged!
I just listened to Elizabeth sing opera for the first time, and she is an absolute treasure! Love your videos!
Haven't you done a review of any Whitesnake songs ?
No other band does a live show quite like ACDC. Off the charts energy and excitement!
And sound decibels!!
Nightwish
Iron Maiden
@markagius8900 Iron Maiden is a great band, but they are no ACDC.
I saw AC/DC on the Highway to Hell tour and Bon Scott one of the best unique voices in Rock! Sorely missed! I saw AC/DC on Back in Black in 1980 and For Those About to Rock We Salute You in 1981. Brian Johnson was the perfect fit for AC/DC after Bon passed. Brian was a unique voice just like Bon’s voice was unique. Love them both!
As glad as I am too see more AC/DC analysis videos. I wish that you would have done a Bon Scott version of this song.
BIG TRUE
Totally agreed!!!
Would've been great if it was Bon. AC/DC without Bon is just like a good AC/DC cover band
Saw them live in 2009... what a shitshow. Brian spend most of the concert doing faces..or his singing face, whatever that is.
Have listened to ac/dc for almost 40 years. Have all the albums. But after back in black, there aint an album that truly rocks. A few good tracks here and there. But for me Brians screaming voice and the "ac/dc formula" on every track is just boring and lazy.
@@simonlauridsen4825 Sadly would have to agree. I know it's a horrible cliche, but their earlier stuff is the best - peak AC/DC being Powerage, Let There Be Rock, and High Voltage. As you say, there are a few decent bits and pieces post-Bon, but mostly they've become a cookie-cutter producer of dad rock. Like professional sport, popular music is largely a young person's purview, and stand-out performances decrease with age. Players are often compelled by their own ego/manager/finances to keep trying to perform even when they've reached a natural end to their competitiveness/creativity and it usually doesn't end well.
The Stadium is alive with Rock, and the audience are the Heart pumping blood throughout.
"For Those About to Rock" should absolutely be the next AC/DC reaction!
I love the fact that you love Brian Johnson's voice!!! So many singers in the Opera world would totally dismiss most rock singers, let alone someone with an unusual raspy voice. But with singing, it either works or it doesn't. And by god Brian Johnson is a damned good singer!!
They are the ultimate rock band, if you want to have fun and rock out you gotta see them in concert. 👍🍀
Rock, straight up, 3 fingers. No water, ice or twist. Actually, it’s straight from the bottle, a big pull. Then another. No mixer, no chaser. Feel the burn and party on!
"For those about to Rock" is the song to analyse every aspect of Brian Johnson vocal, I mean, that song take everything he's got !!
Seen AC/DC three times over the years and they never disappoint. These guys know how to rock.
Another thing I've always loved about this band is when they're back stage they're not getting drunk and crap. They were chilling and sipping on tea.
Well, Angus maybe. Bon and Mal (before getting help) not so much
Johnson seems like such a great guy in interviews. Maybe you can interview him sometime about his voice
"Highway to Hell" is the song that is playing at the closing scene of Iron Man 2, where Tony and Rhody are getting their medals from Senator Gary Shandling, and it continues as the credits roll. The song you're thinking of with them riding through the desert at the beginning of the first one is "Back in Black," the title track from the first album to feature the incomparable Brian Johnson. "Shoot to Thrill" off that album also appears in Iron Man 2 and The Avengers, Tony kind of uses it as his theme song when making an entrance in both movies... both tracks, you should check out, that whole album is amazing.
Also, on the subject of large crowds and sync, Adam Savage, the former Mythbuster, talked in an interview about an experiment he and fellow host Jamie Hyneman performed on a large crowd. They wanted to see how well a crowd jumping would register on a seismometer. The crowd was something like a quarter of a million people stretched over the Capitol Mall in Washington, D.C. The first attempt didn't go well because of the difference between the speed of light and the speed of sound. People were jumping when he counted down from three and he recalled seeing a wave of them rise and fall because of the disparity. On subsequent attempts, they had the commands flashed on a large screen, which got the crowd to make the jump in sync and get a reading on the seismometer.
Brian at the time of this concert had been with AC/DC for 29 years. They are on tour right now. So he has been singing that way with them for 44 years and sounds the same.
Fascinating musical insights....thanks for bringing my enjoyment to a new level with appreciation. You rock officially!!!
I'm always happy to see AC/DC! I'd love to see you do "Let There Be Rock" live at the Apollo Theater in 1978. They were young, hungry, and on fire!
I know where your coming from I was there acdc at their rarest best
I saw AC/DC in the 80s. Loads of fun. I'm happy to see the younger generations enjoying this band.
My favorite band, saw them twice. I just love Angus and his showmanship!!
that concert at river plate was the best rock and roll show to ever take place in argentina. hot damn, what a band. the music, the crowd. everything is just perfect. absolutely perfect. rock and roll in a nutshell. so glad you liked it
I got to see them play live many years ago and they were great. LOUD but fantastic. I was fascinated with how Angus never stops moving. Where does he get all that energy? Brian too. RIP Malcolm.
Life long rock fan here - I've heard this song probably 519 times, but watching AC DC perform with that rock n' roll joy and such a charismatic front man - Legends.
Thanks, Elizabeth !
520 now.
Take care that you not a fan of rock in an echo chamber. Music exists outside of this genre and it is not the end all be all of existence.
AC/DC are one of those bands where if you've heard one song, you've heard them all... But still gotta hear all the other songs, over and over again. This was the first song of the encore. Not only did the horns disappear, but Angus is playing an entirely different guitar at that point!
I'd disagree a bit there. Yes, AC/DC have their recipe with 2 guitars, bass, drums, vocals, rock music, that's it, but if you listen to Cold hearted man and Given the dog a bone, two of their greatest songs in my opinion, they're quite different. And I would say there was a greater variation during the Bon Scott years. Beating around the bush vs Overdose. There's a different vibe, feeling, tempo. So they're not Rolling Stones or Led Zeppelin, but you can explore their different sounds and feels through their catalogue, especially with Bon.
River plate's footage is mixed from the 3 concerts they did there on the tour.
Angus and Malcolm are the absolute KINGS of rythm and silence: music is not only built on melody and harmony; above all, it's built on TIME.
AC/DC is without a doubt the loudest concert I have ever been to.
My favorite band but I believe I suffered permanent hearing damage on the Black Ice Tour. Blue Oyster Cult was extremely loud first time I saw them too. Shell-shocked.
@@johndef5075 yeah my ears probably rung for two days, I saw them on the Flick of the switch tour. I’m pretty sure it was the cannons that finished me off.
One of my all time fav tunes is Brian Johnson singing House of the Rising Sun with his previous band, Geordie. Best version ever! Ever!
This is the music that I listened to in junior high and high school before I went on to start my years in the Marines I still listen to them today they are one helluva band 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼AC⚡️DC Can rock thehouse no matter what song they are playing they could rock ring around the Rosie
They kinda did. I have a live Bon Scott version of them doing Whole Lotta Rosie.
More Bon Scott analysis please 😊
Brian really did a great job taking over lead after Bon passed away, and this is from someone who's favorite lead of all time is Bon Scott. Speaking of Bon, did you know he had some hit songs BEFORE AC/DC with a couple of pop groups in the 60s? It's pretty fun to see and hear him with those groups before he got huge.
The Valentines
WOWOWO::: saw them in Italy at Imola circuit .. a huge crowd... they deserved it all ... OMG what a Show ...
When the crowd bounces it's like "Shake the building - Blow the roof". -- Priceless
Should of gone with Bon Scott's original version, but Brian' s take on it is still pretty good
I concur, this song with Bon Scott
AC/DC died with Bon.
That’s what I thought too.
Maybe do Bon Scott version next and do a comparison! Both are Amazing it’s interesting to see how they approach it differently!
Not close.
AC/DC concerts are amazing. The one I went to in LA had a crowd that could of been at Disneyland. Elderly ladies, young children and whole families.
It was so cool to see older ladies rocking out. A clear example of the universal love of an excellent rock band.
22:37 Brian turns to Angus "I think I got one more in me" 😂😂 To make a self deprecating joke during the song like that about his own voice, while simultaneously being one of the most Legendary vocalists alive. How can you not love this guy!
Incredible live energy. I've had the pleasure of seeing them a dozen times or so.
Omg, first time I see Elizabeth react to the crazy Argentinian crowd! Also this was played as an encore after "Let There be Rock", such an amazing live performance from them.
Thanks for your reactions and explanations 🤘🤘
You also have to realize these guys absolutely LOVE what they do and every member are in their mid 60's to mid 70's today and they still put on a high energy show. Now this video was shot I think in 2009 or maybe 2011 I don't remember, at River Platte in South America in a soccer stadium and the audience was every thing from 18 to 60 and they were literally losing their minds. I've been a fan since the late 70's.
The singing on the Back in Black LP is some of the best hard rock singing ever for me. Brian gives those songs insane energy and power with his vocal delivery.
To this day it gives me chills which is extremely rare. The way he rolls into the third verse of Shake a leg after that amazing guitar solo is too good.
Would love to see your reaction to the recorded version of Hells Bells! Keep up the good work
Geez, you're passion and appreciation for ALL music is so great. I have never heard Angus's playing described as peppy and optimistic but dang, if you are not spot on.
Oh my gosh, I never considered the time delay of sound travel in large auditoriums. I can imagine that in-ears would be critical for proper timing. I've always thought that the wave of jumping audiences was just people off time. The most amazing thing I have learned in a long time! Thank you for that morsel of information!
There are bands that explore different sounds. Their albums are sometimes risky. Other bands have a formula. AC/DC is the epitome of a band that has a formula that it protects vigorously.
Sometimes ya' just gotta give the people what they want!
Didn’t Angus say, “I’m sick of hearing people say we’ve made eleven albums that sound exactly the same. In fact we’ve made twelve albums that sound exactly the same.” 😂
The best reactor reacting to the best rock band… BRILLIANT! Thank u! U made my day!
Pardon my language, but I fucking love this kind of show.
I was in tears of joy watching you savor the song.. the Live Show at River Plate is something to behold, I highly recommend taking a moment to watch the whole thing.. these guys are such performers! 🤘🏼
Thank you again for showing how much joy can be found in music! I love laughing with you seeing you lavish the moment in songs like this (I'm biased because i love this song i suppose 😝)
AMAZING💥
This was so great! One of the reasons I love your channel so much is that these songs we have heard so many times before become even more fun with your breakdowns of them. Looking forward to more AC/DC breakdowns! Thank you, Elizabeth!
This was the 18th song (of 19 total) in the concert and actually the first song in the encore. It was right after Angus Young's guitar solo.
Aaahhh..! The nostalgia..! 🥲 two hours of pure awe! Cheers from Argentina!
Brian has done a extraordinary job for AC/DC ! Like he was born for that role!
You absolutely nailed why AC/DC has been so successful for so many decades: their music is fun, their performances are fun. That crowd isn't just listening, it's partying with them, understandably so too. Easily one of my top three concert I've been to if not the best outright was one of theirs. It's always highly entertaining to watch and listen as you discover songs I've loved since I was a teen (quite some time ago). Thank you. See you again soon.
More AC/DC! Yes!
I really couldn't believe Elizabeth had never ran into them at some place or event, they used to be everywhere, before rock was censured out of the public square! 😁😁
Is there a chance for Seven Spires? Really fun and creative band with a lot of diverse stuff in their short catalog...
This is Argentina!!!! my people!!! my country!!!! Land of Football and Rock and Roll!!!!!
DAMN IT!!!!!!!!! Angus is a Tiefling Bard ... and now I'll never be able to unsee that EVER!!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!
Playing "Highway to Hell" on a rollercoaster sounds about right! 😂 Rollercoasters are terrifying to me! Looking forward to your analysis!
I don't know about a rollercoaster (would you even be able to hear music on a rollercoaster?) but there used to be a fair ride simply called "Rock & Roll" that played loud music. There's two variations that I can remember, one was classic rock themed with juke boxes and Cadillacs and the other was metal themed and blared ACDC, Guns N Roses and the like.
Angus is an incredible guitarist, thanks to his remarkable work ethic. Even decades after making it big, he was still getting up early to work on chords or other guitar work.
Brian Johnson is the energizer bunny of hard rock. So many memories cone back with AC/DC
What is so cool about this song, is that the rhytm is rock hard and tight, while Brians voice slips and slides along with it.
Love the channel. The music, the analysis, and the genuine reactions keeps bringing me back for more. So much so, my wife is jealous.
I believe there's a quote from AC/DC concerning the "empty" places in their music, "What you don't play is just as important as what you do." (or something very similar) This is a key to the great concert sound. If you can, go see them live. It's an experience that you will NEVER forget!
Another timeless band, whom have never stopped enjoying what they do, no matter what got in their way. I think like the Classics, they will never go away. :)
I've noticed over time that you seem to understand, enjoy and have a respect for the rock music that all rock fans have enjoyed for years. It's lovely to see you put this genre of music more firmly on the map.
Hoping you also do a deeper dive on Bon Scott's time with AC/DC. One of my personal favorites goes completely against expectations
and is a stripped down, pure blues song called Ride On. It's beautifully done.
Also, another recommendation to check out TH-cam's own IronMouse. Her story and singing is truly amazing.
ride on is not rock just a straight blues number
Ride On and Down Payment Blues, you just know that Bon has been there. Awesome.
love what you're doing here! so accessible and such a great hook for people who want to learn more about music theory and the science/techniques of vocal performance. People have obviously shown mass support by numbers, but sometimes it's nice to remember that each one is a person whose been impacted by this for the better. keep exploring and we'll keep learning and growing alongside ya! :)
I like this song as much as any casual listener, but you have given me a whoooooole new appreciation!
You are such a joy!!!!
Bon Scott was the original vocalist for AC/DC. He had an extremely unique voice. Passed in 1980, RIP.
Elizabeth you have given us so many great analyses that I am trusting your choice and keeping an open mind for Brian Johnson over Bon Scott for the first analysis of Highway To Hell. As has already been mentioned, Bon Scott and the rest of AC/DC originally wrote and performed the song. In my opinion, Bon Scott's vocals have more range, emotional color, mood and a diversity of inflection. Brian Johnson is a "freight train" of a vocalist. Personally, I see it as a heresy, (a little tongue-in-cheek heresy). I was 8 (circa 1977) when I first heard AC/DC's High Voltage and have been hooked ever since. I can't speak for any other O.G. AC/DC fans, but despite the great Brian Johnson being the lead vocalist since 1980 he is still the replacement singer in my view. I still listen to the Bon Scott albums way more than the Brian Johnson albums. Thank you for your effort and challenging our sensibilities. I am sure the analysis will be great. mirra tu manana 🤘🙂🤘
Angus and Malcolm Young made a complete right decision to continue their band with Brian Johnson. "Back in Black" (1980), "For Those About to Rock" (1981) and "The Razors Egde" (1990) are great albums with Brian Johnson. I think their best concert was "Live at Donington" in 1991 even if Phil Rudd was replaced by Chris Slade at the time. It is funny to watch how AC/CD fans go crazy in their concerts all over the world. Sometimes I wish AC/DC would perform also their less known tracks from various albums in their concerts, but obviously the audience like to hear certain classic songs.
Anytime you can look back at a band and have an honest discussion of who was the better singer, that band did a lot right.
These guys just transend everything...... physiology and all !!!!! Good vibes and Rock on ACDC ! Great Reaction Ma'am :D
Would love to see you do an analysis of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Literally any song by them is amazing. Just make sure you do a live version. They are 10x better live. Probably one of the top bands to play better live than in studio. Tuesday's gone, simple man, searchin, freebird, T for Texas, railroad song, or travelin man are all good ones to do. But with skynyrd, there are no bad ones.
Four Walls of Raiford
Yes Live
" Travlin Man"
Live at Kensworth!
"Call Me the Breeze" or "The Ballad of Curtis Lowe".
freebird and sweet home alabama were their only big hits
Tuesday's Gone is probably my favourite song of all time
I read Brian Johnson's book (the life of brian) and he said when recording Back in Black album the producer was pushing him to "unlock" and sing in higher notes, but he was impressed he could do that. As per the lyrics, it was an insane work in those weeks, Malcom and Angus used to give him riffs every night and asked him what could he do with them.
one of the best reactions to such a great song. Love the explanations of the vocals.. And they are coming back to Australia in 2024!! I'll be there!
Great band, great video, I love listening to you. Thank you!
You need to listen to Bon Scott. He wrote it and sang it originally.
Hundred percent agree with you on that.
We can most likely blame the husband for this. I'm sure he had "a lot of reasons" to choose to have Elizabeth react to the replacement singer singing one of AC/DC's most iconic and beloved songs.
I was going to say the same thing. Bon Scott was a much better singer and frontman.
Where would she find a decent live recording of Bon singing this song?
and I still like Johnson, but it was a hard transition for me to make when I was younger
This concert was one of the best live rock and roll performances ever recorded. Right up there with Queen and U2 at "Live Aid".
AC/DC sure knows how to put on a show.
They where my start into Hard Rock and Heavy Metal.
But the best concert for me is Dimmu Borgir Live in Oslo Spectrum Forces of the Northern Nights in 2012.
Led Zeppelin was my intro to hard rock concerts, about 50 years ago.@@torhelgevreb688
Well... I discovered AC/DC many, many years ago. I have them in almost every play list. Now I discover them once again. Different point of view. Thank you Madame!!!! Always a pleasure watching your chanel ❤
I was there. River Plate stadium, Núñez, Buenos Aires, Argentina. ACDC Rocks!
Amazing. I remember watching these guys >40 years ago. Sounds as good
A good example of the audio wave traveling over the crowd and how its handled can be seen in the documentary about the Rolling Stones concert in Brazil (I think). The concert was held on the beach with the crowd reaching over a mile back. They had several sets of speakers (like the ones set up after the first quarter of the crowd in this show) going down the beach. Each set of speakers had to be delayed to match up with the initial sound wave from the stage so the people further back wouldn't hear the same chords and lyrics multiple times.
It is amazing to learn how much science & manpower go into concerts of that scale.
He has an incredible speaking voice also. You REALLY need to interview him! He's right up there with Dave Grohl as one of the nicest rockstars you'll ever meet!
What a great insight. I never knew the difficulties of a big house and getting lost in your own voice.
Watching your video's really brings back a lot of music theory that I had long forgotten. It really makes me wish I would have stayed with throughout my life, rather than letting it go decades ago. Keep doing what you do, love it!
