So sorry to hear Bob has been subject to one of the ‘hugger muggers’ and glad he’s ok - as Spanish residents, I wondered what actions you feel you are able to take with the Guardia / local authorities to support action on this growing crime? As an apartment owner but U.K. resident, we don’t have a vote locally. I also get the impression that when these muggings occur with ‘visitors’ they often find the reporting process so onerous, they often don’t bother. We’ve downloaded the Alertcops app, fingers crossed, never needed it, what do you recommend for reporting such crimes.

Thanks, and thanks for watching. Police were called ASAP, then had to go to Guardia Civil to do a denuncia. (Followed by viewing mug shots the following day)- even though Helen is fairly proficient in Spanish, she took Jess (from our office) who's bi-lingual "just in case".
The alert cops app is supposed to be good- we've not installed it as yet. Something we will look into.

Really sorry to hear about Bob's episode...bless Bob. X If I win the lottery (I had better start doing it when I,'m in UK)..I will buy Bob a new Rolex. I know it cant replace the one Bob had, but the thought is there ! Absolutely terrible to hear this !! THanks for sharing so that we are all aware of these .......people, muggers. Sorry to hear about Bob. It sounds as though it was the same people that targeted one of our neighbours in Punta Prima a month back. It was a Rolex too.
