I have taken Air China long haul flights for 4 times. I think their FAs service were not bad. They were serving drinks frequently during the flight. However, if they could improve their meals quality, choices and taste, it would be better. Another problem is the seats have stain and they re-use previous passengers' blankets without washing. So, make sure the blanket is packed in plastic bag or don't use a blanket without packed in a plastic bag.
Kc Tan They did all they can in their possibility to serve you the most efficient way in their possibility. In their point of view I think they serve 1/4 cup for avoiding much splitting when an turbulence occurs, also there is limited quantity of red whine available, they also have to make sure to serve next customers if they want red whine, and I remember that in the aircraft you are not the only passengers. I think they didn't do anything wrong, you asked for red whine and they gave you, you asked for more, they poured more in your cup, and after you finish, you asked for more but they said they have finished (they did not deny you), and proposed you white whine instead, the problem is just low availability of red whine. I do not work for china but I work in a restaurant so I can understand, and I hope you do so. I think the flight attendants did great. I hope you understand and appreciate the service environment they work in. And this is not an indication of bad service. Have a nice day
I hardly think this makes Air China the worst airline. You could do a lot worse. Namely, with all the American airlines. Don't even expect proper service from them.
A standard pour for red wine is ~150 ml even in the restaurants. And it is sometimes culturally impolite to fill a wine glass over 1/3.

Splitting wine on the seat or carpet would be a hard work to clean it.
