This isn't the kind of card you'd want to use while showing a stranger a trick, they might run away with the card as soon as you let them pick one because it's real gold XD

The edges are thicker due the gold edging - not built for cardistry. Real pretty.

Well actually I wasted a good amount of with that logo in the intro... which I only used on this one video! :D Then coming up with the idea of gold teeth grill took a bit... plus making the deck spin nicely at the beginning took enough attempts that my finger started to bleed. But aside from those things, it wasn't too bad!

+volantangel I think the gilding might have been a little more prominent before I broke the cards apart... but I don't remember seeing the gilding chip. Granted I didn't use the deck for a really long time. Pretty much put it away after doing the review because getting busy with a lot of other things...

I dont know about anyone else but uh this was like ASMR in the beginning.
I like that it performs better when broken in. I think that's how cards SHOULD be designed. I am curious, how do they perform now? Maybe you should do a video demonstrating how they have held up. My first impression/belief is that because the gold gilding is on the edges, I would think that it seals the cards up (so to speak) and helps prevent moisture/dirt/oils from getting in more than normal playing cards.
+Brandon Pearce Actually I haven't had much of a chance to use the cards after filming the review. Things got real busy. I sold my house. I sold my car. I sold my soul.... oh wait... no... that last part didn't happen. YET. Anyway big changes coming soon... lookout for an announcement...

Gold is sticky - it really likes grabbing onto things.
I discovered this when gilding paper, as part of my medieval calligraphy work some several years ago.
THus, I can see how Faro shuffles would be different from regular cards.

This video is so satisfying
It's funny because these cards have a kind of old-like look to them, like it looks like the modern 1800's cards. But they're gold gilded. On the other hand i have gold cards that are 24 karat gold but when you hold them together and look on the sides of them it creates a kind of grey and deppressing colour.... xD

Love the Reviews. I do have one suggestion, you may want to check out the The Virts tutorial on the faro shuffle. I guarantee it will work better than the standard faro that most people use.
J Puleo hey thanks for the nice comment! I'm pretty happy with my faro now, I use it in magic tricks and can do it pretty instantaneously most of the time. But I will check out their tutorial as well. :)

so is each card on its own have 24 Karat flakes or the entire deck in total is 24 Kara? cause if one card has 24 karat flakes its extremely worth a ton than, considering that 24 karat flakes sell in today's market at 50$ per flake. and sense its not the edible flakes which have traces of silver makes this more valuable.

Gold gilded is redundant. Gilded is defined as: covered thinly with gold leaf or gold paint.

a dumb question: is it actually real gold? because some people said it is but im not too sue about that...
InfinX yes it is actual gold. It uses something called “gold leaf”. You can google that. It’s basically so thin ... such a small amount... that the cost is not very high. I bought a couple sheets of gold leaf from the hobby store to put on my teeth for the “cards in action” ending, and I think I paid somewhere around $8.
