I would have had to side with the Congregation, Even R.C. Sproul recognized there was a difference between Regeneration and a regeneration "Experience" But then I couldn't hold with any baptism of a baby. I am absolutely amazed how those who testify to hold to Biblical truth, to be so right in some areas, such as Soteriology, and yet be So wrong about so many other things.
Well do you understand covenant theology? That's the basis of infant baptism.

I read his Calvinism regards predestination was too much for his congregation . Very legalistic.

Edwards had his own theology, that around Universal Salvation heresy, and he refused the doctrine of Christ. I notice that Charles Grandison Finney wrote a work outlining the fundamentals of the faith and they were excellent, then in his ministry he denounced them as heresy
Jonathan Edwards was a Universalist? Where did you get this idea? Listen to his sermon "Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God." It’s all over TH-cam. In his sermon, he explains how Man is wicked, sinful, and deserving of judgment, and that only by repenting and returning to God can anyone hope to avoid Hell.
@@intoreality1189 I have read this work, and you repeat the universal message of heresy of Universal Salvation, which first came into being by Popery, the antiChrist, that is in the sermon Sinners in the hands of an angry God, and what is more Moses is left out, the law to conviction is not heard, only an address to man to take a chance on salvation, that even Adolph Hitler, and the rest, had a chance of salvation if they but wished to take 'jesus' to their hearts.
@@collincovid6950 dude Jonathan Edwards preached on the law exposes sin and when sins are exposed you know you need Christ and if you don’t have Christ you go to hell. Johnathan Edward’s was so far away from being a universalist it wasn’t even funny. He believed God chose a redeemed for himself before time began and the number was few
