Chad it was good to see you slow down, there isn't any reason to feel rushed! Slowing down doesn't change the show at, actually enjoy to not see you stressed to get more done!
If he puts the pressure on himself okay then but don't take any pressure from outside we're just enjoying the build like I said you can go from one day to the next just like a normal person you don't have to finish a project every hour.
@ Nope...explaining over and over also gets it in his brain on what he needs to do. He strives on rushing doing things....remember he said if he does it a bit wrong, he will do it again.
My wife and I love watching from Adelaide, South Australia. “ real “ reality, mistakes and all, that’s how we learn, not the BS that some put up. Thank you for helping us all with our projects and good luck to you both, Andy & Danielle 😊
Well as you’re asking. I’m in Suffolk U.K. 🇬🇧. We get your vids at 10Pm here so usually, like now, I watch them early in the morning with my coffee. It’s a nice start to the day.
I hope you know you just can't mount the R & P any where it is convenient. There are things known as "Ackerman Angle and Bump Steer" just to name a couple. This is another thing to be considered when "Packaging" a Design. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
Robert, I was curious about this as well. I won’t pretend to know anything about rack placement, but I was thinking that there had to be certain geometry involved in preventing bump steer and death wobble.
Looks like the rack will be similar height above the ground to the bottom wishbone. Then the steering arm may need bending so that the track rod can be made the same radius as the wishbone and the ball joint centre is the same height above the ground as the wishbone ball joint with the hub/upright. That way the trackrod stays parallel to the wishbone and there won't be any bumpsteer as the suspension moves. Hard to do because things may not fit just where you want them!! Hope it works. Comment from Manchester UK.
You're right Robert, the rack needs to directly in between the steering knuckles (tie rod mounts). Each steering system is engineered with its own specific geometry. As far as Chad thinking he some risk taking Engineer, he hasn't designed anything. He has taken good systems and butchered them. I pray they survive this.
God has given you an awesome eye for details! I really enjoy that i can watch your videos without listening to a lot of cursing! Thanks for your videos!!
In addition to my last comment I enjoy watching the change in seasons...cold winters in Canada and summer here, now we are entering winter while you enjoy the summer. I love the scenery changing where you live. I travelled Canada for two months and enjoyed the magnificent country.
I watch and enjoy your show every day and i repeat, repeat and repeat !!! And thats for FREE !!! 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦 Its entertaining, its teaching and its relaxing - we have a lot of fun watching you both delivering awesome content each and every day - thx for that.
It's Sunday another day of suprizes from the Hiltz Auo Co garage I look forward to each day as I tune in to Chad & Jolene as they work together building there dream car, as I have mentioned before I'm from Oakville Ontario Canada. I find you youtube show entertaining as well as educational because I learn something each time I watch. One of the things I love about your show is that it doesn't have to be perfect to be OK unlike other builders perfection is the goal and nothing less will do, that is not alway the best way to biuld a project. Thanks Mark Dutka
Love the picture of Chad and Jolene that Ken sent you. Great work Ken! Getting closer, front end and steering almost complete. All that is left is everything else.
Chad and Jolene thanks for taking the time to read your followers comments and showing interest in who we are and where we live. I enjoy watching your daily episodes from my home in Western Kentucky USA. I have learned from your experiences that I can that I can apply to my own projects.
Appreciated you and Jolene taking your time to share your work and life with people alike. From the Caribbean Island of Puerto Rico; territory of our Mother land, U.S.A...God bless !
I think there’s 2 things that may keep Chad from doing that. 1) he has the fan he has and doesn’t want to buy more than he has too. He wants to work with what he has. 2) he isn’t putting a pump on to control the air ride, so I am guessing that he is minimizing the electronics to go more with the era of the OG car.
The Problem With the First One is It May Take You 10 Times to get it Right. But It Does Feel Good When You Get It Right! Bad Chad You Do Have The Drive And The Mechanical Know How To Do It. Thumbs Up Bud!!!
Awesome night of figuring and refiguring and getting the problem solved, as quick as possible, awesome job, and you can really tell your little dog definitely loves you both you can see it in her eyes,God bless

Hi Chad and Jolene. Watching from New Zealand. Love your work, have watched every episode. Was wondering what the certification process is in Canada to allow the cars you make to be road legal? Would love to know If you need to have this done and how it effects the final builds.

At 25:45 you said that it would “look like it was that way from the factory,” considering you are building it, YOU ARE THE FACTORY. Your humility is refreshing.

We will just have to wait and see and that's just the point of why we keep watching. Keep it up Chad and Jolene. Love watching from England.
Nice job on the rack mounts Chad! Keep up the nice work! Thanks for taking the time to post up these videos. Jolene you’re an awesome lady. You help Chad in so many ways! I think you’re an inspiration for a lot of the details on these builds.
Netherlands here. (i'm a professional carbuilder myself, altough not on youtube). The reason i watch your channel is because i like the way you simplify your thoughts and turn it into action. The way i build is quite different, but arent we all ! 😎

Smashing show fella, I was a fabricator and steel yacht builder for many years in Falmouth Cornwall UK. Now We live in Colchester Essex Uk. It’s one thing having the abilities to build stuff but another to have the patience to explain why and how. You do the two in equal measure Old Boy and it is helping people out here to create their own dreams. Good work from the two of you. Stay groovy matey. 🤙🏽
Texas here, keep up the cool builds. Really like the creativity. Kinda cool that people like us that were once thought of as hacks and scroungers are now the cool ones.

Hello Chad and Joelene - from Sydney, Australia. A couple of ideas & points..... The radiator mounts. You didn't need to make a huge 1/8" plate across the front. All you needed to do was make 2 x "ears" for the round tube going north/south, and a captive nut in a plate on the radiator sides to match the ears to. Yes, there's 2 x brackets, but 1/3 to 1/4 the weight. And easier to access, and no holes or crush tube to add to the east/west tubular cross member. The radiator manifolds - yes, change their exit angles to allow the hoses to fit. It's better to leave the engine fan alone. 1. because you won't affect its balance and maybe damage the water pump because of that.... 2. because you'll keep maximum airflow from its diameter. The engine mounts. Crush tubes in the chassis rails east/west.. and bolt the engine mounts as modular pieces to the chassis rails.. so the engine comes out easier... the steering side engine mount box piece will still need a scallop for the steering shaft. Rack position.... do your homework on bump steer. Remember the love of your life will be driving this car, so her safety is paramount. Not critisizing mate, just advice. Good work. Love tuning in. Cheers !
Form follows function. Thats how the classic Mercedes Gull-wing design came about. A solution to a problem can results in amazing yet simple thing of achievement. Appreciate your passion and persistence which is often rare. Mark Verschuur Melbourne Australia.
Very real stuff guys. I'm really impressed how you do this everyday, unscripted and unedited!! Watching from Napanee Ontario but lived in Truro many years ago. I have my Autobody redseal and used to work on this stuff. You're encouraging me to take on a project again. Thanks. Regarding your gas shock for the door, one end gets attached to the body at the front under the hinges (inside) and the other end further back on the inside of the door. Take a look at a hatchback for a car.
BAD CHAD! One Of The Baddest Custom Car Builders In Canada! Have Your Channel Playing In The Shop All The Time. Watching From My Custom Garage In PORT DOVER ONT. Canada's Motorcycle Capital.
Another great episode Chad. I'm from New Jersey in the US. You and Jolene inspire me every day I'm 60 and doing things to my old ford falcon that I've only ever dreamed of I'm doing a back half and wheel tubs and I'm totally changing the front suspension to mustang II Thanks!
Hey Chad and Jolene, I'm from Warragul Victoria Australia, I really enjoy and appreciate watching what you do, I'm learning a lot, Cheers from the land down under.
Chad and Joleen. Really enjoy your channel, started watching on the first Chevy Bugatti video. I'm a retired firefighter/EMT and lost my legs to an illness 10 years ago. Your style of building reminds me of how I learned welding back in the 80s in my high school ag shop. Make it strong now, make it pretty later! I've been down with a back injury for a bit which has kept me from walking on my prosthetics, and your daily episodes have helped me get through being down and not being able to get out and work in my own shop. Watching you reminds me of hanging out in a buddies garage while he works on a project, the only difference being I can't pick up a wrench and help you out like I would at a friend's garage. Joleen, you do an awesome job keeping the camera right in the work, and when Chad goes looking for a tool you show us around the shop at other things or the dog, keeping us all engaged until Chad gets back. Great job! I'm from Western Kentucky, and I can tell you after watching the good message you gave to the kids for community service... If you lived in Kentucky the other guy would have been in trouble for tresspassing at 3am! You keep building cars and I'll keep watching, even after my back heal up. Neil Brown
Thank you for sharing everyday. I look forward to it. I have a 37 chevy truck and have done every part of the build myself. I hope to get it inspected and on the road this summer. I will still lack the body work and paint. Your lessons and examples have taught me lot. Steve in Texas.
If you only knew the escape this show has given me in the last month and especially today. I strive to be the ultimate teachable student and your an awesome teacher that ties life morals and work ethic. I always find it interesting how our brain is able to fire off everything we say with out even thinking about it, and watching you talk and show the work it's definitely an efficient way for me to learn aside from hands on learning. I love the show and the hot rods thanks again from Bristol Tennessee One Love 💚
Love your show and we are in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. We've been watching you for some time now and like the way your honesty comes though as well. Keep up the great work
Chad it was good to see you slow down, there isn't any reason to feel rushed! Slowing down doesn't change the show at, actually enjoy to not see you stressed to get more done!
If he puts the pressure on himself okay then but don't take any pressure from outside we're just enjoying the build like I said you can go from one day to the next just like a normal person you don't have to finish a project every hour.
Need to put upper radiator mounts when you put the body back on you will have the flex when you run across bumps or when you Rev the motor
@ Nope...explaining over and over also gets it
in his brain on what he needs to do. He strives on rushing
doing things....remember he said if he does it a bit wrong, he
will do it again.
Ohio enjoys your videos !,,,
From Utah I'm 56 and love watching your builds/fabrication I'm disabled but love tinkering on old hot rods

Chad you could remove the fan and replace it with a electric fan giving you more room. Jolene what do you think, is it a good idea or not .

Hey Chad, fun to watch your wrenchin and fabricating, I'm in the great state of wisconsin!
From Eagan, Minnesota I like the way you always work through all the problems that come up when building a car.
@45:57 It's not what you buy, it's what you build! I try and live by this motto! Watching from Omemee, Ontario Canada

Thank you for sharing everyday. I look forward to it. I have a 37 chevy truck and have done every part of the build myself. I hope to get it inspected and on the road this summer. I will still lack the body work and paint. Your lessons and examples have taught me lot. Steve in Texas.
Love the channel. You and Jolene are both great. Love the no nonsense approach to everything.
Watching from Brisbane Australia
If you only knew the escape this show has given me in the last month and especially today. I strive to be the ultimate teachable student and your an awesome teacher that ties life morals and work ethic. I always find it interesting how our brain is able to fire off everything we say with out even thinking about it, and watching you talk and show the work it's definitely an efficient way for me to learn aside from hands on learning. I love the show and the hot rods thanks again from Bristol Tennessee One Love 💚
