Good to see them doing well, Emery deserves it too. I'm a Juve fan and quite dreading the prospect of a trip to Villa Park in late November. Villa are a good team and Emery has often been a tough nut to crack for Juventus teams.

Not really a fan but a big supporter of Aston Villa for giving Dibu the chance to show off how good he is, and therefore him coming to the National team. Cheers!
12:10 This is incorrect, really. Emery absolutely wants to keep possession when possible and we pass it around the back and midfield far more than ever before. Villa fans have had to learn patience under his management. However, as you did point out, Emery is tactically very astute and the key thing is, he can do both. We were very direct against Bayern as we looked to catch them out quickly on counters or through Martinez long balls, and and in *some* games we'll adopt that approach. In others we'll look to slow the tempo and create the space before launching an attack. Pau Torres is absolutely key to our style in that regard; few centre-backs have his level of vision and distribution.
Firstly, people say that faulty goal line technology saved Villa from being relegated in 2020 but they forget that earlier in the season Villa were denied a win at Crystal Palace when referee Kevin Friend mistakenly disallowed a goal by Henry Lansbury, mistakes happen all the time and generally even out over a season so you cannot determine what should have happened in a season by just referring to one incident in one match. Secondly, it wasn't the fact that Jack Grealish was transferred to Man City that angered the fans, it was the manner in which he went, 10 months earlier he'd signed a new 5 year contract with the club declaring publicly his desire to "see the project out" adding...""Everyone knows what claret and blue means to me, I've been a Villa boy all my life, and I love playing for this club." If you're going to go then go but don't start kissing the badge one minute then bragging that you're going to a better club with the "best manager in the World" and expect that the fans you used to stand with on the Holte teraaces will respect you.
This is the first time in decades that Aston Villa fc have a chance to reach it's full potential if over the coming years we have the current owners, management & staff at the club moving forward. Aston Villa's ceiling for growth is very high & they can become alot bigger than they already are, Villa are massive & Villa are back!!.... Up the fuck'in Villa!!! ⚽💜💙💪✌️😁
people need to drop the Goal line tech failure, there was still a whole game to play after that incident and you all seem to forget the reverse fixture where VAR failed to rull out Sheffield's blatant hand ball goal that cost us 3 points... thats why the lawyers backed down
i am a Villa fan because of Stan Collymore 🏅 Unai is a perfect example what a Leader can do to a team, and a few pounds too. i got chills when i saw Villa fans at their Stadium beating Bayern. A magical night. i hope Unai can improve the team for the next years. i can see them fighting with the top 4 every season.
Villa fan here and appreciate the video mate! Thought you covered us really well. Don't hate Grealish, hard to blame him for leaving and the money we got for him was huge. LOVING life as a Villa fan... and agreed that Fulham will probably break into Europe next! (Hope we can qualify for Europe consistently though)
As a villa fan i never hated grealish, signed a contract the year before allowing us to get the best possible fee from him, and he was at a point in his career where he wanted push on and win things which he wouldn’t of done with villa, it was a win win, as the funds helped us build a team that wasn’t so heavily reliant on one player
He’s won team and individual awards that all these other apparent ‘better keepers’ could only dream of. And he’s managed that without playing for one of these ‘bigger’ clubs. We wouldn’t swap him for any GK in the world
The answer to Villa’s success is the owners. They’ve come in, saved the club from liquidation, and put their money into it. The other answer is Unai Emery doing what he does.
Villa's tactics are quite varied, we have one of the most direct attacks, but are also quite high up in the stats for slow build up style attacks. It's the versatility that makes us so dangerous.
Theyll probably spank us (United) over the weekend as usual. Well coached, drilled and disciplined team that deserve all the success theyre going through right now. Well organised behind the scenes, good luck to them.
I've wanted to buy a villa kit for a while, but how do you get your hands on a Castore kit? Especially in North America? I love villa, but can't stand that they switched from Kappa and Puma, it's impossible to support them.
I can only speak for myself but I never hated grealish. He deserved to go compete for trophies. I was sad gutted to lose him but got good value for him and like I said, he deserved to play at the top.
I think that Aston Villa is demonstrating a level of stability that could see it as a Top 6 club for a while. When we look at other clubs that have experienced a lack of stability during Villa's rise, we are in a situation where if they don't get themselves together, they will not be able to compete with Villa to the point of bumping them from the Top 4, let alone Top 6. I would say based on present stability, for better or worse, the current most stable Top 4 clubs are Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Aston Villa. I think Chelsea, Spurs, and Newcastle will compete for the remaining two spots until they can gel/stabilize. I think Chelsea is showing signs of stabilization this season, which means it's a race between Newcastle and Spurs to see who'll round out the Top 6 of the current era. As for Aston Villa, they currently seem like they have the potential to be reliably Top 4 for a while, but as far as winning cups and trophies...The club may run into the same problem that Arsenal had for a while toward the end ofArsene Wenger's tenure: Reliably Top 4 but not in the conversation for titles or trophies. Able to participate in the CL year over year, but not good enough (yet) to win the whole thing. The difference between Villa and Arsenal fans is that Villa fans will be slower to throw Emery under the bus, having fully realized how far they came in such a short time, and grateful for the level of class they're seeing on the pitch. The real danger is in having elite clubs like Real Madrid start hanging around, unsettling players, and making it difficult for Villa to go to that level. Then there's the threat of losing players to direct PL competitors. If Villa can weather these concerns and spend sensibly, it should remain a Top 6 club. As good as Unai Emery has been for Villa, I'm not sure what the odds are of him lifting Aston Villa to the degree that the team can handily win the Premier or Champions League. When it comes to winning elite honors, Villa will either be happy to stagnate in the Top 4/5 and collect a domestic trophy on occasion, or they will have to keep an eye out for an elite-level manager who has experience winning league and Champions League titles. I just wonder how the fans will treat Emery should so many seasons go by and Villa is reliably Top 4 but hasn't won a PL or CL honor. Hopefully it will be a smooth transition and not what we saw with Wenger and the Arsenal fans.
Watching Aston Villa is a breath of fresh air. Tired of the robotic Manchester City, tired of how awful United are, tired of Spurs being high and low, tired of Arsenal fumbling the bag, tired of Liverpool not living up to potential, tired of post Abrahamovic Chelsea. I truly do hope that Emery and team can build on this and maintain a top 4 challenge. Cheers Villa.
I rate villa so highly I've always believed you can't compete in the top 6 without selling and refreshing successfully and they've done that multiple times since they've come back up
Emery is a master of European competition. . . unless it’s Olympiacos for some reason. As an Arsenal fan I would be quite happy to never see that club again
As a Villa fan I don’t hate grealish I still see him as a legend of the club without him we wouldn’t have gone up and stayed up and I hope he comes back
im a forest fan and i can confirm that we are the only team with more european titles than domestic ones. not sure if thats a flex or not but here we are
One thing that is insane is these richer clubs are hiring managers based on the style of play and not thise that have proven themselves as winners so there is an opportunity for those clubs below to pick up some of the managers that are at least at that point better than the club they come into
RE: Jack Grealish. Initial anger, then and now just complete indifference towards him. Most people choose to never listen when they ask why we were angry... he signed a new deal the year before. Said he believed in the Club and the project. This is home. He's here to stay for the long term etc all the sound bites. Obviously, players say lots of things, but he has always talked about being a villa fan and its dream etc to captain us and win something with us and play in Europe. And he is a local lad. We believed him. For contrast, Jacob Ramsey is a Villa fan, he was in the away end the game Jack got punched. JJ never gives any of these soundbites. A few months after signing this deal, he told his agent to get him a move! This is from Sam Lee, the Man City Athletic journo, who had reported he was signing for City for a long time. And of course he had this release clause put in, so he could move! He has also tried to leave us numerous times before. Spurs were in for him at one point. Man Utd were in for him at another. Chelsea were before he even played for us and he tried to move unless he got a big contract, which I don't begrudge him for btw... you ignore this though, as what's the point doing anything else if he is still at the Club and playing well.. After staying up, many of us thought he would have left and didn't begrudge it. But he leaves us when it looked like we could truly kick on and compete for top 6/7 spots. And if he had stayed fit (or didn't have a sleeping pill problem, if you believe rumours), and did not miss half the season, we would definitely have competed for top 6 that year, rather than finish 11th (a record point tally for 11th I believe I read btw). So it's the lies, the timing, and always trying to get a move with the almost faux Villa fan shtick to get fan support, rather than be genuine with it. With hindsight, it was a great thing for us, obviously £100m in the bank was vital with FFP.. But at the time, many of us wanted to keep him and would have happily sold us others and not spend. He was our Totti. Our talisman. And it was a joy to watch him in a Villa shirt. Not so much in an MC shirt.
@vizeh There is an example similar to Nott Forest - Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia's A League. They won the Asian Champions League one time, but have never won the A League grand final 😅.
The goal line technology stuff, as you rightly say, there was 10 games left when this happened. It was also in the first half. If that goal had been given, we have a whole 2nd half and some change to equalise. After the Covid break, we purposefully become a more defensive side as we were leaking goals prior to it. So if we were 1 down, we'd have obviously been more attacking, instead of sticking to our new more solid style. If we equalise, we may even go on and win the game. We may lose. We may draw. It's all ifs, buts, maybes. It's utterly nonsense to ever bring it up. And when talking about this mythical next goal wins in a professional 90 minute premier league football match, Aston Villa were denied a perfectly good last kick of the game goal away at Palace. This literally denied us a point. And I know everyone gets bad decisions, but I have never known us to have so many bad decisions in one season. I mean in the very same Sheff Utd game, we should have had 2 penalties!! But this of course gets no mention. The hawkeye / GLT is really boring. And still gets brought up to this day, and I imagine it will for the rest of my life.
The closest I can think of a club winning more international than national titles is Club Atletico Independiente from Argentina, but only in their professional era (17 national titles against 20 international titles), though they did win 8 national titles during the amateur era of Argentinian football (before 1931)
Hi vizeh also randy learner was going thru a divorce after 2009 and had 2 sell most of his assets in the divorce 2 so at that point he lost interest in villa but not completely The whole Tony xia debacle is on a youtube documentary btw
Being a Villa fan, I never hated Grealish. I know why he left. He left with almost similar circumstances as why Douglas Luiz left (the club needed money). I would say, Cabbage Bruce actually stablised the ship a bit and you failed to mention how Paul Lambert kept Villa in the Premier League season after season with limited budget until he left. I don't hate Lambert, just hate his football tactic.
Can never agree anything positive about Lambert. No matter which available players he had he invariably failed to select a team. The one concession I'd make is that there were too many non-english speakers brought into the club and communication was a clear issue.
I'm a Villa fan and I wasn't happy that he left in the moment but now looking back on it I'm grateful to him. He stuck with us in the Championship and stuck around after promotion to play for us in the prem. He then got us 100 million pounds. I don't think we could be where we are without that transfer.

Plus they just think that decision wouldn't change everything else from the remaining to the match or upcoming matches.
Villa are the best team in the world
as a colombian seeing jhon duran just makes me so happy
This is the first time in decades that Aston Villa fc have a chance to reach it's full potential if over the coming years we have the current owners, management & staff at the club moving forward. Aston Villa's ceiling for growth is very high & they can become alot bigger than they already are, Villa are massive & Villa are back!!.... Up the fuck'in Villa!!! ⚽💜💙💪✌️😁
Peter Withe, Portland Timbers legend
people need to drop the Goal line tech failure, there was still a whole game to play after that incident and you all seem to forget the reverse fixture where VAR failed to rull out Sheffield's blatant hand ball goal that cost us 3 points... thats why the lawyers backed down
🎯🎯🎯
Dibu Martinez was on fire, and Duran is the most cynical sub in the premiere league. Love it!
Dibujito is #1 keeper in the world mate. I wonder why 🤷🏻♂️
if martinez played for a club like Liverpool or city everyone would agree he’s the best in the world
i am a Villa fan because of Stan Collymore 🏅 Unai is a perfect example what a Leader can do to a team, and a few pounds too. i got chills when i saw Villa fans at their Stadium beating Bayern.
At first I was gob smacked when I heard Jack Grealish was leaving us. Never hating him though. Now I still enjoy watching him & wish him well.
Outrageous claim 11:53 I don’t know about that one chief
mild claim
agree hes defo one of them but there's many others that are better
It's just facts though he's the best in the world
He’s won team and individual awards that all these other apparent ‘better keepers’ could only dream of.
They had Castore kits last year. They wear Adidas now
We haven't had a good kit manufacturer since moving away from Luke Roper apart from right now obviously in Adidas
A 3RD VIDEO IN A ROW OF YOU RESPONDING TO ME?????
Nope
Love you pooks
Been waiting for a villa vid UTV💜💙
Unai Emery working with a team that has Villa is bound to successful and amazing.
3k views in 33 minutes?? HE"S BAAACCKKK!!!!!
Really good. You did your research. I didn't find anything wrong.
NSWE are heroes, Unai is a god, but I thank Dean Smith so much for righting the ship and bringing the joy back that we had lost for so long
I don’t care what Aston Villa thinks
I rate villa so highly I've always believed you can't compete in the top 6 without selling and refreshing successfully and they've done that multiple times since they've come back up
Kudos to Unai Emery and Aston Villa for developing and improving the club and the squad
I live near Brum and have a few Villa fans as mates, we had quite the night after this 😂
Play off final 2019 was the fork in the road for both Villa and Derby
We are the Villans for a reason..
this aston villa run reminds me of me taking those low table EPL/championship teams to champions league on career mode
Emery is a master of European competition. . . unless it’s Olympiacos for some reason. As an Arsenal fan I would be quite happy to never see that club again
UP THE VILLA!!!
Just shows how things can change. When Unai came in I was just hoping we didn't get relegated.
Great time to be a Villa fan. UTV
As a Villa fan I don’t hate grealish I still see him as a legend of the club without him we wouldn’t have gone up and stayed up and I hope he comes back
I’m a villa fan and forgot about the league cup final against city. Still remember being at the Thrashing Against Arsenal though
im a forest fan and i can confirm that we are the only team with more european titles than domestic ones.
not sure if thats a flex or not but here we are
And to think, PSR is trying to screw all of this. Hope more for clubs of Villa, Newcastle, West Ham, Brighton doing well up there.
could feel this video coming
UTV 🦁
Make a vid about liverpool
Idk what it could be about but as a fan of u and Liverpool it would be nice
10 seconds in and I am already enjoying this video
⬆️ UP THE VILLA ⬆️
Not seen video yet only seen title, but that is very much correct
Unai said rooftop like we bringing 82 back!
One thing that is insane is these richer clubs are hiring managers based on the style of play and not thise that have proven themselves as winners so there is an opportunity for those clubs below to pick up some of the managers that are at least at that point better than the club they come into
I have a soft spot for Villa. Not a fan but sympathetic to them. I just really hate Bayern. For mostly geographical reasons
Its quite fun watching a team outside the big 4 like villa or brighton do well in europe, attracts a lot of neutral interest
Not so much in an MC shirt.
never really hated Grealish cuz it is a transfer that is beneficial to both the club and the player. Not sure why some 'fans' hate him for that
@vizeh There is an example similar to Nott Forest - Western Sydney Wanderers in Australia's A League.
The closest I can think of a club winning more international than national titles is Club Atletico Independiente from Argentina, but only in their professional era (17 national titles against 20 international titles), though they did win 8 national titles during the amateur era of Argentinian football (before 1931)
Going from losing to a 3rd tier club in the 2022 Open Cup in the US. To scoring and winning against Bayern. Crazy journey for Duran
Hi vizeh also randy learner was going thru a divorce after 2009 and had 2 sell most of his assets in the divorce 2 so at that point he lost interest in villa but not completely
The whole Tony xia debacle is on a youtube documentary btw
Being a Villa fan, I never hated Grealish. I know why he left. He left with almost similar circumstances as why Douglas Luiz left (the club needed money). I would say, Cabbage Bruce actually stablised the ship a bit and you failed to mention how Paul Lambert kept Villa in the Premier League season after season with limited budget until he left. I don't hate Lambert, just hate his football tactic.
Can never agree anything positive about Lambert. No matter which available players he had he invariably failed to select a team. The one concession I'd make is that there were too many non-english speakers brought into the club and communication was a clear issue.
we never hated Jack Grealish only the very few salty ones will We Love Jack and His 100 Mil Helped Kick started Our Story UTV
Great video and great content also
Youre right about it being Fulham. Love Villa tho!
