No they arnt lmao, Rouges and warriors maybe but mages no way, mediocre dmg, die super easy, oom after every pull, weak in pvp, gear dependent, no legendary untill naxx, and they are casters so they are getting fucked by any mechanic that requires movement and can be interrupted or spell locked easily, blink is the only movement boost and portals require regents that make them too expensive to be usefull , lvling requires kiting with frost nova or else you will die on almost every pull, the rotation is boring while lvling, since your only using frostbolt and as soon as you start on max lvl content it's one of the most complex in the game whitch you will have had no practice in using, aoe grinding is difficult and risky and you can't even do it untill half way through your lvling experience and any pvp just consists of you trying to slow down anyone attacking you untill you can kill them while out of reach, they are decent in dungeons with polymorph and decent aoe but that's about it and once you reach 60, dungeons are obsolete anyways, the food and water conjuration is nice but the only reason blizzard added it in was becase it would be litterally impossible to play a mage without it with how mutch mana is used.
Pedro Maduenho I have. Mages don’t really get good until I would say late tier 5 and they take the place of caster tank. But it’s not that they’re bad it’s just lock and hunter are that amazing.

They're so many mages and a lot of them are just very bad rerollers. Most of them are SM babies that know nothing but blizzard spam and that's it. What's remove curse? What's counterspell? It's bad when you're in ZF and as a warlock you have to bring out felhunter to purge and interrupt because the mage and rogue cannot be asked to break their blizzard or combo points to kick the heals.
+1 so true. Tired of seeing mages use Blizzard on 2 mobs, runs into a grp of 7-10 mobs right in their faces only to be (almost) killed, seldom let healers to mb when needed, well list goes long.
Same as it ever was. Just like it was back in vanilla. Who needs a stupid Imp for that delicious Blood Pact when you can cover for a bad mage who doesn't understand their own abilities?
Mages in vanilla are OP hence 40% of horde players playing mage. They´re literally useful in any situation, they deal insane dmg and they can cheese any risky tact. Warlocks are better in 1v1, that´s true and cannot be understated, but 2 mages v 2 warlocks, the odds are suddenly a bit more even. In terms of pve raids mostly consist of 10-15 mages AT LEAST. All this being said, if you wanna cheese your way through the game. You don´t really have a gametype you prefer over another, you´re sorta casual and what the game to be easier, mage is for you. There´s simply no way of failing as a mage regardless how noob you are.
@@frostdracohardstyle Agree to disagree then. Yes the difference between a good and a bad one is huge. But in my experience even keyboard turning new players have managed to get full epic n lvl fast as hell as a mage. They´re really not hard at all to learn if compared to some other classes (hunters being one). I do think Mage is the easy choice for anyone who wants to play classic without too much of an effort.
@@oJackOfSpades Takes about the same effort. Your bias is showing. Mages Excel at aoe, no shit they level faster through that method. Still takes effort on part of the mages to do anything other than make water and portals. Agree to disagree my ass, you people are just wrong.
@@frostdracohardstyle Why would I be against mages? I´m on the contrary saying they are absolutely overpowered. Compare them to other classes and you´ll see that all n all mages have it easy in WoW Classic. That being said ofc the class wont play itself, no class does, but it´s all relative to the game I thought that goes without saying.
@@oJackOfSpades " Why would I be against mages? I´m on the contrary saying they are absolutely overpowered." Bias doesn't always mean for or against, it means you have an idea of mages which may or may not be accurate to reality, and your responses are based off that idea. I don't think mages are "overpowered". Strong class? yea. But what can be defined as overpowered in classic? Without defining that, saying they are over powered is basically saying they have no weaknesses, and that isn't true. "They have great AoE, they´re always needed in raids, they have great pvp and solo potential, they are self sufficient, can farm gold easily without professions.." So can other classes? Just not with aoe. nd they are not always needed in raid. In fact speed runners don't run mages. And most of the raid mobs that you actually want to cc, can be cc'ed by others classes, or cleaved. Eliminating the need for polymorph. The only thing people actually NEED mages for, is free food and water, and if you are willing to buy that, you don't need a mage. "Why are you acting like I´m attacking YOU when I´m talking about mages? Also you haven´t come up with one example of why I´m wrong. What, you think it´s hard to lvl a mage?" Depends on how you decide to level tbh. Single target mages have just as much trouble as every other caster class. "to grind as a mage? Compare them to other classes and you´ll see that all n all mages have it easy in WoW Classic." Depends on how you define easy. Mage is best played as a solo aoe cleave class. However i cant tell you havent played mage any substantial amount of time. Trying to gear one is a nightmare and a half. In order to aoe grind you need gear, in order to get gear you need dungeons, and in order to get gear in dungeons you have to compete with ever other caster in the game. Even in raids like molten core and BWL, you gear up slower than other classes because their is more competition on everything. Can you imagine being in prebis and going weeks without a single peice of gear? Is that supposed to be the easy part? Or did you not actually gear up a mage and realize how much of a pain in the ass it is? Or the fact even with all the quality of life, you still only deal 60% of a rouge or warriors dps even with best in slot gear? "That being said ofc the class wont play itself, no class does, but it´s all relative to the game I thought that goes without saying." It goes without saying and yet you keep saying things are easy when you have to actually play better than a lot of classes to be successful on mage? Mage is a good class, but its also punishing if you make a mistake. You don't do crazy aoe pulls without practicing a shit ton. You have to put in a lot of time in order to make sure you at the least, just dont die. You are looking at the fact the mage can do those things, and calling it "easy". Im looking at what is actually required to do those things. Much harder than playing a warrior and having free heals on your 24/7, thats for sure.
@@sk8ter1sk8ter2 ok lets brake it down. 2nd slowest leveler. 2nd most gear dependant class. AOE ability has 3min cd and comes at higher talent. No mobility. Sap brakes stealth. 1on1 pvp warlocks and priests can fear which is enough to kill about anything before it comes out of it. if you do it well you can iceblock it but they just cast another fear. so you need improved counterspell and hope for the best. Enhancement shamans can oneshot you with 2 hander and windfury weapon and rogues have the stun thing again. in classic id say anything that can reliably fear or stun is better. yes maghes have polymorph but a) you heal while polymorphed b) any damage breaks you out of it. Also hunters have a higher ranged dps in a duel situation and can move into your or out of your range as they please since they dont have cast time a mage really shines in BGs or against melee classes
really bad take. Mages beat hunters 1v1 with deadzone aoe and instant spells. Undead mages have will of the forsaken which rlly helps against fear classes. The only class a mage cant beat in a 1v1 is an SL lock and a very good druid. Druid is our biggest coutner in world pvp where you cant outrun them but you can easily disengage and outrun a warlock. Overall the Mage is S tier.
my main in retail was a mage so I was going to make a mage in Classic, but I ended up not doing that cause I was going into a PVP servers so I thought a rouge would be better(mostly to survive the leveling process), I regret that decision not because I want to be OP but because I wasn't having fun with my rogue
@@red5robb1 no i hear ya, everyone views rogues as simple but if you really dive into em youll see theres alot of things to take into consideration. Especially if you want to min max but yeah starting one in vanilla vs other xpacks is a whole different world
In 1v1 PvP at 60 at a high skill level they are extremely strong, but not unbeatable. They have weaknesses such as cast time on most spells used in 1v1 combat, 1% chance to resist all spells, chance for CC to break early, cloth armor, vulnerability to spell pushback if not Frost, and high competition for gear. Probably others as well that I'm not thinking of at the moment.
Mages in PvP should be an S tho.. coming from a really good geared rogue the only way I could kill a Mage is if i have preparation up as well as vanish, sprint to break cc chains. In a Duel mage against rogue for example rogue stands no chance to win it as you can’t get a mage into a stun lock because of the blink which happens to have 15 sec cd. And as a rogue once you’re out of stealth if you don’t have cds you’re left hoping to resist a frostbolt just so you can get caught by the frost nova again
Mages die in litterally like 2 hits and do mediocre dps, frost is best for pvp becase it's based on making sure the enemy isn't close enough to hit you or it pretty mutch game over all a rouge has to do in pvp is stealth and the hit the mage with any arsenal of stuns along with massive burst dps, a geared rouge could kill a mage without the mage even being able to press a single button becase they would be dead by the time the stun has worn off.
Same. Ever since I found out about ZF xp/gold farming at 42, that’s where I keep going back. I didn’t think about the fact that it’s a good strategic place to have it
You are really underrating mages in terms of pvp if they are only an A, because they can't kill SL warlocks in super try hard duel tournaments 1v1 lol. Mage is really the only class where low to medium skill players can reliably win 1 v X situations and a good mage will stomp multiple opponents with ease.
@O K yeah no shit, sl warlocks can beat mages 1v1, I literally said so in my own post. That doesn't contradict what i just said mate. Ele shamans can also beat mages, but u willnever see a warlock or ele shaman do this shit. th-cam.com/video/FoM-lF3UIJ8/w-d-xo.html
You can even port your own alts as long as they’re in the same party as you and similar location. The portal lasts a minute so you have that much time to hop and take it
In Vanilla there was a lot of QQ in the forums about pvp balance. Eventually it became annoying if you don't pvp to have something nerfed because of pvp balance. This happened with every class. Remember when Ghostwalker joked in the CS forum that Pallies were to be nerfed to the ground. (bwahahaha). In later expansions Blizz were able to say x ability is (some reduced amount) in pvp.
Please don't compare warriors to mages. Warriors are by far the worst class to pvp with, as all the matchups are 50/50 or worse. There's not one matchup where the warrior is favorable, all of them the warrior has to outplay or be atleast a tier's gear in difference to overwhelm them. All these vanilla vids of warriors destroying was because of the tier difference, but classic is different, everyone is more geared making warrior the hardest class to pvp with (without a pocket healer). Mages are the most OP pvp class in the game as they technically have no Diminishing returns on any of their CC's and can Completely CC and aoe everyone, their only downside is they don't live long, but you can play around that with massive control.
so what you are saying, is that you are a nooobtarrd and can't play warrior class.. Don't worry, you aren't alone. That is why they made paladins. Warriors are very gear dependant, so don't say they are the worst when you mean you are to lazy to get gear for them. A geared warrior can one shot a mage. Sad thing is, there are always whiners like this guy.. OH HE IS OP NERF HIM... if you are getting pwned as a warrior.. LEARN TO PLAY
@@gbalkam i guarantee you don't main warrior, otherwise you wouldn't call me a noob. if you actually play the class you understand that all the matchups are terrible 1v1. Here ill explain. Without engi you shouldn't even PvP and you need certain trinkets in order to get the upper hand, but i'll explain to your dumbass as to why warriors are terrible until later on when crit carries and we're able to run our dps gear as our pvp gear. Hunter : If he gets the opening shot without engi you're dead. with engi hope grenade lands to stun him to get closer, once in distance mind as well do as much damage as you can before you get distracting shotted, in this scenario you need pvp trinket , to break distracting shot but do it after he feigns to get a free tag hit, if it's Open world pull a creature with ranged weapon over the trap. and proceed to dick him. Without this proper set up or freeze trinket YOU LOSE 100%. 7-2 matchup hunter favor. Rogue: IF they get the jump and they have ALL of their cooldowns, the chances of them winning is higher than 50% as this is our true 50-50 matchup. A good warrior can lose to a good rogue, no need to really explain this fight as it's mostly the rogue having to outplay the warrior. Mages: honestly just fucking give up. But if you have the necessary tools : FAPS, Grenades, Root tubers, Ice Trinket, pvp trinket. You have a chance. IN this fight if you get the jump Pop a fap and don't waste rage to hamstring as if they noticed you expended your charge rage they'll poly you and you can't pummel in time. If this happens you lose. Against a good mage if they notice you popped a FAP, and they have Lips YOU're 100% fucked. if you're doing good damage you can force the first iceblock and at this time bandage, and get some distance so you can leave combat for a charge reset. But honestly at this point if they had Iceblock and they're good you're just dead because they can coldsnap or just kill you do to you not having fap up in time again to really duel them. and even if you manage to get them low they can kite you endlessly until you're dead, i'd touch up about EVERYTHing i do in this matchup but i'ts really not worth it cuz it's an uphill battle the entire time. 80/20 matchup Mage favor. Warlock: Forced to stay in Zerk stance the entire time cuz the minute you switch into any other stance you're going to get Dc'ed into a full fear, but this is a double edged sword cuz you're taking more damage from their dots, if they're sm/ruin spec and they have a succy out (by not noticing they don't have a pet near it's most likely succy and you should just try to intimidating shout before the succy charms you, since our TRINKET is absolutely dog shit we can't break this Charm and forced to eat a full soulfire to the face in zerk stance into soul burn and you just die, don't even try an SL/SL lock they'll just tank the shit out of you while the dots murder you. Good warlocks you can't beat bad locks that try to fear you and waste gcd's you can beat. 40/60 matchup in their favor. Pvp specced disc/Shadow Priest: Just don't even try. Their shields tank so much damage it's not even worth to duel at this phase in the game until we are able to wear full plate dps (pve) gear for crazy crit chance and dual wield to break bubbles faster. Pop recklessness and do as much as you can if you have to engage, but outside the recklessness window, you're toast 9-1 matchup in Priests favor. Druid: Dependent on spec, if he's tank feral druid you just lose, unless you can match the mitigation trade off with a tanking set of your own, but in all honesty are you really wearing your tanking gear in a pvp scenario? (bgs/farming/openworld?) SO you just lose cuz even with sunder on them they can just destroy you due to them not taking any damage and you slowly dying. If they are balance resto this fight is a little more tolerable and you really only need a pvp trinket, but against agood balance spamming moonfire kiting druid, I honestly don't know how to beat that, but someone that plays at an average pace and does things like NS entangling roots, you can punish by pvp trinket intimidating shout pop recklessness and do a dick ton of damage while they are in humanoid force, basically create a burst window when you see them in human form, try to do the same to a feral tank druid, but honestly they won't even need to shift out of bear form not once, so good look. Feral druid match up 9-1 in their favor// Good Balance/resto druid 7-4 matchup their favor. Shaman: This can be very easy or difficult, and i'll explain. If the shaman is Enhancement with extreme gear the fight can be a little RNG and he can windfury you out, but you shouldn't be afraid of that to be honest, if he's a Tauren watch out for the war stomp into fire nova totem to combat this as soon as you see the shaman drop fire nova totem, mouseover hamstring the totem that way when he stomps he loses out on 40% of the damage in his burst window, same thing applies to elemental except it's even more devastating if you don't do this against them. Hamstring kite the enhancement shaman only go in when weapon swing is back up to trade efficiently until you've pooled enough rage to burst them down with pure resources. Same thing kind applies to elemental shaman except you stay close to them and stay in zerk stance and pop zerk rage so you have infinite rage from their shocks refueling you. Pummel their bolts and chain lightnings as necessary. Fun match up I'd say a 60-40 in their favor. Paladin: Dont really have much experience here as i'm Ally, and haven't found a good enough one yet to cause any concern. But in concept i'd see them winning if you don't have pvp trinket to eat the hoj. Notice these are ALL explanations as to if WE get the jump. If we don't get the jump We definitely lose the fight usually unless lucky crits resists ETC.

The class has always been overpowered in pvp. Ever since they nerfed rogues back in beta this class with its short cooldowns and range capability have always been overpowered. I remember the boards with all the whiney clothie newb mages complaining about a rogues killing them and being perma stunned even though they had blink and iceblock but didnt know how to use them yet. They successfully helped rogues get longer cool downs and stamina regen than they originally had even though they just didn't know how to play their classes yet. I hate aoe farm mages so much. First they Think every mob is own by them. An second when you get one mob and hit it to 50% 15 Mobs respawn around you and Kills you instant.
I'm a mage myself and i love to destroy aoe pulls. When I see a mage aoe pulling mobs I wait for a bit till he casts 2-3 blizzards and pull another mobpack into it. 8 out of 10 mages die. I didn't care for fast leveling so I quested and did dungeons the normal way. I was once or twice in a spellcleave grp and it sucks. It's boring after few min and if you have bad mages in the grp you wipe because they either can't properly nova or have not skilled improved blizzard / better slow which is very good while leveling.

Me being a dick to dicks is justified. I even made a raid in hillsbrad while leveling to kill higher level alliance players for fun, because that's all the game is about. There were no honor points till phase 2. It felt great to farm lvl 40+ people with only people about lvl 25-30 people. It only took about 20 min to have a decent leveling experience and no higher level people camping players 10 levels below them "for fun". I had a great time fucking with people who fucked with other people. And I still do. Most of the mage farming spots in the open world have questmobs (tanaris for example). When they do their big pulls to farm mobexp others can't do their quests. If they want to farm exp like that they can simply go into a dungeon and do it there with a 5 man group. It gives them more exp and leaves the questmobs alone. And what people don't realize is that you can start farming decent gear while leveling in dungeons. You need to grind dungeons at 60 either way or you won't get into 90% of raidgroups. It's not vanilla like it was 15 years ago.
Adam Kitzki Only clumsy idiots die to that xD ... Real masters kill the mage who tries that shit with them (you can also kill the mage from the same faction).

Mages are the best 1vsX PvP class in the game and only struggle 1v1 vs prepared PvP-specced Warlocks and Ele Shaman and Rogue can be dicey. They have among the highest PvE DPS. They are the fastest levelers. They are the best gold farmers. They only struggle with poor itemization.
Leveling: you think you will aoe farm mobs like Joker constantly but in reality every spot is competed, random players gank you, random mobs resist or suddenly respawn which leads to your death Spell cleave dungeons: you think you just easily find other 3 mages and a priest and you get that 40k/h but in reality you all should be familiar with the technics of pulling/controlling and PUGs most likely wipe a lot. I lvled in normal groups and got more xp/h AOE farming: BRD, ZF, even SM boosting need time to practice because every mage dies a lot while starting doing it. Even after that gph is comparable to simple herbalism/fishing Raiding: if you just go and casually brainlessly click frostbolt you will never get >50 parsing PVP: only viable in deep frost or elemental spec which you don't have if you wanna do good dps in raiding. Arcane mages die from Mortal strike + white attack
They are not "overpowered" they aren't significantly more powerful than warriors in what they were designed to do. Mage class design is complete along with Warriors, Warlocks, and Rogues. Paladins are the least complete class, right behind druids who might have the worst talents trees in the game.

Nah i dont think they are OP. They have a lot of good going for them but it can be worked around so it's fine. The XP from High levels selling runs needs nerfed. By making the buying runs no longer viable it will return the game to its original state. High levels can run people through for gear and solo for money. People leveling can quest, grind, and dungeon which will return world travel and busy zones with world pvp. Loot from aoe grind should have diminishing returns nerf so that the economy isnt utterly busted by mages soloing... at least the 300 mob mara type stuff. Aoe should be limited to less mobs... maybe a max of 40ish... then all content can still be aoe and even raids in pvp, but it will limit how easy farming is.

Entirely untrue. There is a chasm of difference between a good mage and a bad one. Making mistakes on this class will end up with you dead.

That being said ofc the class wont play itself, no class does, but it´s all relative to the game I thought that goes without saying.
@@oJackOfSpades " Why would I be against mages? I´m on the contrary saying they are absolutely overpowered."
Bias doesn't always mean for or against, it means you have an idea of mages which may or may not be accurate to reality, and your responses are based off that idea. I don't think mages are "overpowered". Strong class? yea. But what can be defined as overpowered in classic? Without defining that, saying they are over powered is basically saying they have no weaknesses, and that isn't true.
"They have great AoE, they´re always needed in raids, they have great pvp and solo potential, they are self sufficient, can farm gold easily without professions.."
So can other classes? Just not with aoe. nd they are not always needed in raid. In fact speed runners don't run mages. And most of the raid mobs that you actually want to cc, can be cc'ed by others classes, or cleaved. Eliminating the need for polymorph.
The only thing people actually NEED mages for, is free food and water, and if you are willing to buy that, you don't need a mage.
"Why are you acting like I´m attacking YOU when I´m talking about mages? Also you haven´t come up with one example of why I´m wrong. What, you think it´s hard to lvl a mage?"
Depends on how you decide to level tbh. Single target mages have just as much trouble as every other caster class.
"to grind as a mage? Compare them to other classes and you´ll see that all n all mages have it easy in WoW Classic."
Depends on how you define easy.
"That being said ofc the class wont play itself, no class does, but it´s all relative to the game I thought that goes without saying."
It goes without saying and yet you keep saying things are easy when you have to actually play better than a lot of classes to be successful on mage? Mage is a good class, but its also punishing if you make a mistake. You don't do crazy aoe pulls without practicing a shit ton. You have to put in a lot of time in order to make sure you at the least, just dont die.
You are looking at the fact the mage can do those things, and calling it "easy". Im looking at what is actually required to do those things. Much harder than playing a warrior and having free heals on your 24/7, thats for sure.

Also hunters have a higher ranged dps in a duel situation and can move into your or out of your range as they please since they dont have cast time
a mage really shines in BGs or against melee classes
really bad take.
Nothing beats warlock in classic wow
Aiden Warren agree. Maybe a bit useless in raiding though, at least mc/bwl
I mean the only way the mage beats you is using Icesnap and both blocks with is the same as your preparation.

Mage is really the only class where low to medium skill players can reliably win 1 v X situations and a good mage will stomp multiple opponents with ease.

Something is not well balanced, something is OP in the Vanilla/Classic??! What a surprise! :-O :D
No. What Jokerd relied on to get world first 60 was layers.
No, on a some realms, literally 1 in 4 max level characters is a mage based on some of the data reported by the census addons.
I also wonder if. Water is wet? Heat is hot? Ice is cold? Sky is blue? 🤪🤪🤪
Sky is not technically blue... But yes mages are little bit**** and fuck*** bast***.
Just because they can solo farm Naxx trash doesn't automatically mean they are OP, LOL.
So basically actually makes are very overpowered actually basically because basically it's actually very overpowered actually
Just say they're broken bro, its a fact.

@@Cynsham you can just sit there for extra 1 min, point is that water is shit , you have to buy it anyway as it takes way to long to regain mana.
@@-PureRogue Beggars can't be choosers when you literally ask a mage for free water.
and a shadow priest enters room
at 6:00 did you kill Frostadamus ??!! Show us what happened there !!
Btw it isn’t “spellcleave” it is Battlemage shenanigans. My aoe isn’t as gimped as a warriors cleave. I hit everything.
Never met a well-equipped soul link warlock in PvP, I guess.
Well tha mages are OP has been common knowledge for the past 15 years so... Yeah.
Leveling: you think you will aoe farm mobs like Joker constantly but in reality every spot is competed, random players gank you, random mobs resist or suddenly respawn which leads to your death
Spell cleave dungeons: you think you just easily find other 3 mages and a priest and you get that 40k/h but in reality you all should be familiar with the technics of pulling/controlling and PUGs most likely wipe a lot. I lvled in normal groups and got more xp/h
AOE farming: BRD, ZF, even SM boosting need time to practice because every mage dies a lot while starting doing it. Even after that gph is comparable to simple herbalism/fishing
Raiding: if you just go and casually brainlessly click frostbolt you will never get >50 parsing
PVP: only viable in deep frost or elemental spec which you don't have if you wanna do good dps in raiding. Arcane mages die from Mortal strike + white attack
And then in 2022 they broke all that by making the mobs have a timer before you get a perma-stun >_
The answer is yes because yes.
Yes, yes they are XD .. I killed a mage in world pvp once. He was level 10 with ress sickness... the only mage I've killed TILL THIS DAY!!!
you cant get ress sickness at lvl 10 haha epic true story tho
@@stemina32 XD
Nice job!
Short answer: yes
They are not "overpowered" they aren't significantly more powerful than warriors in what they were designed to do. Mage class design is complete along with Warriors, Warlocks, and Rogues. Paladins are the least complete class, right behind druids who might have the worst talents trees in the game.
45k xp/hour in sm kek, a good mage can Boost a group solo to 100k+
Try free action potion with your warrior and these things die easy af, should prolly know this when making a video about the subject.. :
0:00 Yes
Go to The Bay of Storms in Azshara to see your Hunter bots, on every server. Report them! Blizzard doesn't do anything lol
Yea we are overpowered. Even when i don't wanna make gold I make gold...Never did AoE farming and never needed it.
Mage and Rogue are the most OP class in wow histrory from classic to BFA... thye're never been below god tier. from pvp to pve.
PVP mage is a freaking S+ tier... A rang ? total bullshit.
Sookiez Boly Well mages are useless against a free action potion
Steve You’re right but ye it takes a lot of skill as a warrior to fight against a mage
Mages are squishy and have a complex max lvl rotation by classic standards in bfa they are more overpowered than in classic, no mage can compete with a rouge, lock or warrior in pvp, they just arnt built for it
Joshua Drew Like almost every class in pvp for example fury warrior needs a pocket healer to be efficient (in bg for example) but it also depends on skill, if you know how to use your strengths against certain class you’ll have a clear advantage but it depends a lot on skill tbh watched some zetox 1vs1 and he’s almost invencible
Steve Well that’s classic essence the reliance on teammates for certain strategies, i’m not saying classic pvp is the best, but it still has its appeal
They are post 1.8, yes. Before that, they were fine.
Mage is strong yea but tbh, the only overpowered class.. like TRULY overpowered is actually the warrior.
Best pve dps, Best tank in the game, best pvp dps, best gear scalling in the game, and the ability to become a stronger raid boss ragnaros with just 2 healers.
Warrior is still the most played class and to be honest, the best thing mage provides in classic is the convinience.
It's hard to pass on free transportation and free food/water in a game like classic.... they make ur quality of life so much better.
Lol you're so wrong. Try grinding out your epic mount after solo leveling to 60 on a warrior. Especially during phase 2. Mages are the most broken class hands down no argument
@@psy__guy__9884 U can do meele cleaves for lvling like everyone else.. and no matter what "hard" lvling is for warrior, it's just lvling.. u will be done eventually.. i am talking about end game power here.
And warrior is all about that.
Grinding ur epic mount is a child's play considering that i didn't even grind my mount with my mage... i just got the gold i needed for the mount while farming my pre-BIS in dungeons , so i can't see why warrior is any different....u should have all ur gold while farming ur pre-bis.
Even if grinding gold is hard for u as warrior ( which it shouldn't, this is 2020, everyone can make gold) u can have a mage alt for farming gold in DME... and nothing extreme u know, just herbalism and lashers.. easy 50g per hour with 0 effort.
U say mages are the most broken class, but truth is that mages are the most CONVINIENT class.
Broken is a word for warrior becouse as i said they are the best pve dps, the best pvp dps, the best tank, the best scale of all classes with gear and a potentional raid boss with 2 healers.
yea i agree, playing a mage will basically be a better quality of life with ur free waters and u teleports and ur ability to farm gold easy but u are not STRONGER than warrior in anything pretty much.
Do one for Warlock.
Locks only good in 1v1 duels that no one do anymore, otherwise they are complete trash. demonology tree is flawed, you have to spend points buffing pets, only to sacrifice them.
Nax patch Warlocks become better mages than mages
And then a Shaman comes along to dispel that Soul Link. lol
I wish that everyone stop assuming that fire mages are trying to raid MC/BRS/Onyx.... Know how many messages have gotten asking me why I am rolling a fire mage and you can't get into raids as a fire mage, and I am sitting here like: I know I can't do those raids and I am not following the boring-ass meta
I actually prefer boosting SM and ZF than raiding, since boosting actually gives you challenge in Classic, unlike raiding... Every time i finish MC, i have to go watch you tube or something, so my frostbolt finger has its rest... :D
This sounds like a post from someone who doesn't actually raid but likes to pretend they do.
@@forbzinator Dude, its internet, every1 gets to be what they want to be... :P
How can i ignore all these vaulty Channels? Getting reused content of reused content every day. You know who does it for the Dollar. Nothing new to see and here.
Um no, we cant do much vs druids
IMHO hunter is a good class for gold farming. Nice video !
Mage basic in raids? you simplify it by a factor of 3!!
Its frostbolt, arcane missles and Remove Curse!
bruh never use arcane missiles. way too mana expensive for how bad the damage is when simply wanding will do comparably damage and cost no mana.
@@Cynsham The whole sentence was a joke. Thank you for your time anyway.
Frostbolt frostbolt frostbolt frostbolt frostbolt - A mage
They shine in what they do, snares and AoE control, and other wizardly things, they are mages, but they are far from OP. People wanted Classic, this was Classic, leave it alone.
far from OP... LOL
Let me guess.. rogue is a also fine, right ?
Compared to Locks nope.
If mage isn't a top pvp class what is? Can anyone else ranged CC someone for over 2 minutes?
SL Warlock. Most powerful PVP class/spec by far, and the hardest matchup for a mage to go against.
@@SonGoku5363 S tier in 1v1, not that great in larger fights, and quite shitty at honor farming/ Kill stealing. Still my favorite class/spec combination, i am going for rank 13 with it
Good warriors with engi will faceroll every class. Underrated class by a landslide. Problem is most warriors are bad
@@brettw7444 not in 1v1 sorry. If you give warrior every trinket and consumable then do this as well for mage/warlock or whatever and they will win, assuming everyone plays perfectly. Warriors with no healer are inferior to most classes in 1v1 period.
@@foxmulder8955 ????????????????
So, is the community going to cry for nerfs and make blizzard turn the game into a nerf fest while never actually fixing anything?
Use action free potion it be easy target kill mage enemy
Priest and hunter have spell to drain mage enemy mana
If a mage dies to a hunter, ever, that mage should quit wow.
If I use FAP vs mage, that's overkill but then I play SP
@@MrGlennJohnsen Are you trolling or..? Hunters are pretty good against mages
I mean we all already know they're easy mode.
Mages are, and always will be, Blizzs favourite class. In every single blizzard game to this day the mage is always busted.
Steve Kimberley good yes, "busted" no
@@fredriksvard2603 Okay then lol. All the speed runners on Diablo are Mages, In WoW they are the highest ranks and have the most gold available because of solo farming, all the best PvPers in BGS are also Mages, in 1v1 its warlock but who cares about 1v1, plus even though Warlock is not a mage, it's still a spellcaster,. in Overwatch the 'mage-like' classes are all insanely broken. Heroes of the storm - busted mages everywhere.
Blizzard have had mage bias forever, it's not news.
"Are images overpowered?"
"Yes, but also no."
why thought this was class was balanced in any way?
Op in aoe farm solo farm etc yes. But first phases of classic not OP in raids. Atm never mage ist 1#dmg its warris/rogues so not op on single target boss
Just wait until it's time for Fire to reign Supreme again.
Mages were op from classic to wrath. No secret
Overpower in leveling yes. You can do massive dps with shit gears.😂
Yes.
Yes they are.
I hate when people are so scared to give a conclusion. Like why half ass it. Mages are hella OP.
Mages are strong and spam one button, most specs are worthless. Mages aren't OP until they can sustain and actually use Fire.
They are called "Blizzard's son" in Chinese. Yeah.
it al depends on the player if player sucks doesnt mather what class it is
*stares at the title*
Yes.
You are welcome.
Any Rogue" "ROFLMAO"
Mages are STRONG, but not Overpowered until it's time for Fire.
No you are wrong
@@wormss No. Frost is fine, Fire gets out of control. It's everyone else that's weak, except of course the real Pures and Fury.
First I thought this video was a high quality, deep anylys of classic mages. But then: "Mages can easily top in raids" HAHAHAHA I realised this was just a trolling video, nice one tho 😂👍

I had arcane blast watching this video, btw it doesn't exist in classic.
