Fujimoto is just Denji irl lmao, nothing can convince me otherwise. From the story of him eating his dead goldfish, to his fake twitter account of his sister who doesn’t even exist. Bro is just wild, and I love it.
Cant keep saying this enough, but chainsaw man shines to the end of the Story and ppl calling the first season mid dont understand that it was Just getting started
Ik compared to the rest arcs the first season wasn't that gd but still for me the first season was 9/10 it has everything I need and the most important thing it kept me interested which is kinda hard in my case I easily gets bored but for this series I was waiting every week
I feel that if people didn't like the first season, they just don't like it, and that's okay. I've often found myself struggling to accept that people wouldn't like what I do even if they give it a chance, but sometimes we just have to accept that not everyone will like something. Not because of quality, but because of personal preference.
Fire Punch is one of the saddest and grim manga I've read so far, and my personal favorite manga of all time. I love raw, unfiltered things because I feel it's the truest way of telling a story without being held back and restricted by imaginary rules. This manga is so unapologetically morbid, which is perfect for the setting it's in and the way the characters exist in that hellhole of a reality. I really don't ever get super emotional, but this manga had even me broken up near the very end of the series. If you like existential dread, read this manga. If you don't, read this manga. Everyone should experience this masterpiece.
Its actually rare for me to see someone perfectly explaining what i felt reading this manga. Fire Punch is the best piece of fiction ive ever read and i will stand by that. This manga had me on a loop for days just trying to figure out what i just read and then it dawned on me. You can look at it literally or metaphorically. Either way its a win
Bro people always get hung up on the dog fucking part when they hear about it, but it doesn't actually happen and it's like 2 pages of talking about it and this happens in the first like 12 chapters or whatever.. it's worth the read if you like CSM it's an entirely different experience and is honestly extremely unique in it's storytelling and its ending is one of my favorite of any story not just manga. I don't think Fire Punch should have an anime the manga is perfect as is and I don't think the masses could handle the weirder aspects unfortunately as Nick and chat's reaction shows.
reminds me of the berserk horse. no berserk readers are like "OMG THERES A RAPE HORSE!!!!! SO LIEK THE STORY IS JUST ABOUT RAPE WOW THAT SOUNDS AWFUL". PISSES ME OFF
Between having read Chainsaw Man, Look Back, and Goodbye Eri, my favorite is definitely Chainsaw Man. Goodbye Eri and Look Back are both crazy good, but I think part of it however is the fact i can tell the work is just bigger than my mind. Apart from that though, it isnt to say the Chainsaw Man manga isnt still just phenomenal... the content that the anime has covered is just the tip of the iceburg. I hope the upcoming movie does this arc justice 😘 💣 Honestly every upcoming arc needs to be movie level
Bro you NEED to read Fire Punch. I haven't read CSM so I can't say if one is better than the other, but I can say that Fire Punch is one of if not the best pieces of fiction I've ever consumed.
Speaking of… dogs… you should definitely check out/read a synopsis of DogN***a. It’s basically about a dog-man hybrid who seeks revenge on his dad (human) who graped his mom (dog).
I highly recommend checking out Fire Punch manga as I doubt it's gonna get an anime in the near future. Aside from it being super dark, part of the reason is that it is not easy to animate, since fire is considered difficult to draw/animate and the MC is almost always on fire.
Fire Punch is one of the most immersive, weird, thought-provoking manga I've ever read. I read it a year ago and it's still living rent free in my head. I think it is a borderline masterpiece, but it is not for everyone.
it was over a year ago when chainsaw man aired 😢 it was the most hyped i have ever been and the wait was worth it :D now we just gotta wait for the movie to come out also you should read fire punch! it is something else like youve ever read or how does the saying go? oh.. and agni was "blessed" if you could call it that
Don’t forget this is also the same guy who once buried his pet goldfish on a playground but then he felt bad as the ants started to eat it so he dug it back up and swallowed it whole. Yes, Fujimoto-san is my goat
Fire punch is great, I find it kind of a preview to chainsaw man in a way, there’s a lot of unanswered questions (not rlly a bad thing, just a different way of tackling themes, sometimes questions just need to be expressed) where I feel as if in chainsaw man, fujimoto takes more time to explore and resolve such questions, and leans into a more concrete narrative, still wild, but feels more held together, and there also is some somehow more hopeful tone to it
Fujimotos manga are weird, crazy, deep its just peak i love all of his work even the underrated one shots like "2chicken and" something i forgot the name it was very short one but still i loved it then theres a rom com one by him which was funny and wholesome. Then in this vid there was a picture of a kid playing piano under water with fish and mermaids that manga was beautiful too so all of his works great if not peak. And he's my most fav of all time In a world where everyone calls berserk or Vinland saga as the best manga ever i call Fire punch the best thing ever 🗿
Dude you HAVE to read Good Bye Eri. In my opinion it is the ONLY Story in my opinion that can ONLY be conveyed in comic book form. Before anyone says anything like "What about Berserk and/ or Oyasumi Pun Pun?" what I mean is in terms of STRUCTURE, because the plot of GBE needs the comic book format while those other series can be animated they just need time to be adapted properly.
As someone that's read all of firepuch that's available online, yeah some shit's getting cut out or changed if they animate it, that or it's severely age gated, as in you need to be like 50 to watch it to make sure you don't end up influenced to being like your favorite very fucked up character.
Goodbye Eri is an experience i believe everyone should read. Even if it gets animated into an anime/movie one day, i think the one shot should be read.
I thought Goodbye Eri would be just another sob story but I should never have underestimated the insanity of Fujimoto's mind. That shit truly hit different.
I really wish CSM had a second cour because it only covered the weakest part of the story, so people think it was overhyped. There’s no lull in CSM and each arc is better than the previous one. If you enjoyed the katana man arc, buckle the fuck up because you haven’t even begun to witness peak.
people dont hate Demon Slayer because its sucessful. They hate the fans, cause theyre insufferable and think that milque toast ass series is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Also no, "not till recently. jjk am i right?". Chainsaw man anime looks 100000000x better than JJK. I say that as someone who loved JJK season 2.
I'm lucky that I read Homunculus before I read Fire Punch....1 f***ed up manga got me prepared for another. Goodbye Eri should be adapted into a movie live action or animation it doesn’t matter, that sh!t is Oscar worthy

I love Fujimoto's manga. Chainsaw Man was my first and it was amazing! It was confusing and strange at times, but there's something special about it for me. I'm still following it as chapters come out. I'm not as big of a fan of part 2 (after chapter 97), but it's still good. I think that once it's finished and I have all the pieces of the puzzle, I might like part 2 better, but it just feels slower at times and I don't like most of the characters as much as part 1. They're not bad, but just not as interesting to me. I read the first 3 or 4 volumes of Fire Punch. That is a crazy ride from what I read. I will continue at some point and finish it. Look up was decent, but my least favorite from the 4 main mangas. I honestly don't remember it much. It wasn't bad though. Goodbye Eri is amazing!
