    FUN FACT: Jack Sparrow has permanent "Sea Legs." When he's on land, he walks with a noticeable sway - appearing 'drunk' but when he's on board a ship, he walks perfectly straight. Just one of the many things that set Jack Sparrow apart and allow him to steal the show.

Having everyone on the same page was essential, since there were no authorities a captain could call on if the crew decided he was a bad captain.

      It wasn't even Disney that was creative though, the head of Disney at the time Micheal Eisner actually HATED the idea of the film. He rejected the script and it was either the director of Pirates of the Caribbean, or the producer, or both, but they just decided to ignore what they were told and started filming the movie anyways behind Eisner's back. Eisner found out about it, came and saw what they were doing and very reluctantly agreed to let them continue filming, but he was nervous the entire time and he especially didn't like Johnny Depp's portrayal of Jack Sparrow. It's honestly a miracle that this movie even exists. The only reason it does is because the creators of the film ignored what they were told, and the executives didn't immediately can the project, we got very lucky

    Myth Busters tested a lot of scenes from PotC including walking on the bottom of the ocean holding a boat upside down. It was completely busted. The air pocket is too buoyant, two men don’t even come close to weighing enough to hold it down. They estimated the boat would displace 40 cubic feet of water, meaning you would need about 2,480 lbs of force to counter the buoyancy. So a small compact car.

It's not, due to buoyancy as well as there not being enough oxygen to sustain the two of them for a very long period of time - hence why Orlando Bloom thought he was on the LOTR set at one point. You can find plenty of articles online talking about how people have debunked this fun boat trick, but one thing to always keep in mind: it's historical FICTION, else it'd be a documentary

    Corsets have been worn since Roman times, yet the brief tight-lacing/ wasp-waist fad of the late 1890s has forever condemned it as a female torture device.
    The boat air pocket would work, but 2 men can't drag a boat that size underwater with the air pocket. Diving bells made of brass or bronze were still in use for things like pearl diving and would be heavy enough to counteract the buoyancy of the air.

    And that ending. He's so happy. "I Feel!"... Only to realize what he's feeling. "Cold..." Before falling over dead. I love it. They could have kept him alive, and have him executed later like was going to happen to Jack. Could have had the curse lifted in the middle of the fight, and jack giving a killing blow finally. The world of this movie was one of the Disney worlds the player visits during Kingdom Hearts 2, and the boss for that world was one of the most difficult and rewarding boss fights I've ever had. You couldn't defeat the boss until you also had all the gold coins gathered, and during the fight the boss would knock them around. You had to collect the coins, keep yourself alive, and damage the boss. I STILL remember that frantic energy and relief when I finally pulled it off!

    16:40 I mean, I can't speak for anyone else, but I'm definitely like that with my dogs. I know them both well enough that I can recognize their barks immediately and be able to tell them apart, even though they sound very similar. Even when they're at the dog park and other dogs are barking along with them, I can still tell which one is which without looking. It's crazy how constantly being exposed to a sound will sharpen your ability to recignize a specific one.

    the row boat under water with an air pocket in it is 100% real and just physics. i cant explain it like a smart person. but when i was at summer camp as a kid, it was on a lake and there were 5 small triangular boats, that if any kid swam all the way across the lake and back they got a free 15-30 minute swim at the end of the day and got to play with the boats. so long story long we did that with the play boats all the time, going under water with an air pocket

    • @jamesstutz6907
      @jamesstutz6907 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @marcushonesty8322 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @jamesstutz6907 it's impossible to carry the boat, but the air pocket is real. When i did it as a kid they were small one person boats in chest deep water. But yeah, that's the most unbelievable thing in this movie

    • @kunilsen2519
      @kunilsen2519 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Not 100% no, but the theory is there. The air pocket is true, but I highly doubt you would be able to get a real rowboat underwater with you😅
      I'm not a smart person tho, but I have spent a lot of my early years on an island and by the sea

    • @GreenScrapBot
      @GreenScrapBot 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      How would you counteract the buoyancy of the air underwater?
      It's barely possible to push a beach ball underwater.

    • @marcushonesty8322
      @marcushonesty8322 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @GreenScrapBot like I said idk. When I did it, as a small child in a small boat able to touch the ground and still have half my body out of the water it was possible to hold the boat down because part of it was out of the water. It would only last like a minute. I know it's not humanly possible to hold a row boat under water at the sea floor. But the air pocket is possible because science. I was only saying the air pocket was possible because that's what everyone was questioning

    Fun little theory,
    At the end, when Jack fell off the cliff during his "You will always remember this as the day-" speech, it was in fact a carefully calculated action, meant to imitate the way he knew Elizabeth had fallen from there, to help him avoid the sharp rocks at the bottom the same way she did.

    Historical corsets, when worn correctly, are incredibly comfortable. They are very supportive and can do wonders for an aching back.
    They are meant to reshape your squishy bits. If it hurts to wear one, you are probably trying to reshape a body that doesn't have enough squishy bits to reshape. Basically, corsets are not as effective on skinny girls.
