The ONE Synth Trick you should know // I use this on EVERY patch.

  • Understanding how to manipulate LFO phase points might sound like science fiction to some, but its easily my most used sound design tip and trick when it comes to creating organic textures from synths. This is great especially for ambient synth music, or honestly anywhere. Apply this with rhytmic modulation, or if you sync the LFOs to the tempo.. game over. So good!

It's been a long time since a music production video has made me smile this much. Your love and passion is infectious and it's a joy to watch you still exhibit as much wide eyed child excitement as you probably did the first time you used a synth.

If I actually have one per voice that I can set free like that to the different voices though I will be incredibly stoked! @RickyTinez: Thanks for this awesome video. As some other guys on this channel I tried it immediately on my peak, virus ti2 and prophet rev 2. It's quite interesting that on rev 2 you can get a similar sounding effect pressing the key sync knob. Switching on the virus all of the lfos are oscillating as free as they should from the beginning. So this seems to be a special thing on the peak (may be a bug?) as switching on this great machine the lfos of each voice are in synchronized phase . Once you brought the lfos to real independing oscillating it works on every patch.
