Dr Malcolm is a practising GP living in Macclesfield. Malcolm is a three-time best-selling author. Two of his books, The Cholesterol Con and A Statin Nation, are a must-read for anyone thinking about taking statins. Malcolm’s third book, Doctoring Data is so insightful that when you next see a questionable newspaper headline about health, you should download an electronic version, and it will help you better understand how it was dubiously crafted. Malcolm’s area of expertise is in studying the heart and what actually causes heart disease.

Great stuff! Thank you both so very much. So many people find it difficult or impossible to challenge the 'authority' of doctors when the doctor says you should / must take a statin. Anyone remember Viox? Thalidomide? And many more. We must stand up for ourselves.

I have been a huge fan of Dr. Kendrick for many years and would like one day, if he can bend his new diet a little, to buy him a beer!

But is that advice the same if you have a small calcified plaque in the LAD and soft plaque elsewhere.

Did you work with your father and change his lifestyle and lower the meds he is taking?
I did, and my mom in 80s feels like 50 now.
    She looks younger too.
Doctor is happy how well she is doing.

Dr Kendrick says not to worry about LDL, and that seems to be the consensus amongst thinking people. It's my understanding however that it could be a concern if your Hba1c is high: in other words, damaged (glycated / oxidised LDL might be a problem.

      LDL-C doesn’t show particle size.
NMR Lipo Panel does show what you need; doctors tend to never test that.

Malcom says plasminogen converts to plasmin which slices and dissolves excess clots(FIBRIN) if you have too much lipoprotein a caused by lack of vitamin c . Lipoprotein a blocks plasminogen conversion to plasmin so can't dissolve excess fibrin clots
My question is is Malcom recommend eating bell peppers, kiwis, oranges for vitamin c daily
So body can dissolve excess clots (fibrin)??
Or is he recommending taking 1 to 2 grams(1000 milligrams to 2000 milligrams ascorbic acid ) supplement daily??
Many say ascorbic acid supplement is junk very harmful to arteries!
Carolyn Dean MD says ascorbic acid breaks down collagen arteries!
Dietrich klinghardt md says ascorbic acid doesn't work
Richard schulze says ascorbic acid is junk

Appreciate his view. but it’s another angle to already crowded debate!! SO confusing!! I don’t know what to believe. Different from Others.. especially USA scientists. I am still trying to understand his proof of mechanisms.. ? 1. Primary initiator.. damaged wall of arteries, cause. 2. Consequences of that . Blood Clots, plague not the issue? . 3. Prevent and treatment. Cholesterol including LDL, is small part, then how Science says other wise?
