Small bombs counter sneaky goblins, by putting 2-3, an impatient attacker can waste all his sneakies, also small bombs plus giant bombs hardcounter super archer blimp, which is by far the most used strategy on th 15

Seeking Air mines, and Air Bombs are extremely helpful against Air Attacks making players having to bait traps with balloons which will take up any extra troop space they could have used for their attack making their attack in general weaker
I mean you could also argue the fact that traps between levels BARELY get any visual redesign, making the upgrade feel worthless in the visual aspect. Compare the to the builder hall where every trap gets better and better looking with every level.
Builder Base has a significantly more weight on base design than Home Base will ever have, and that's just how they naturally are. I recently got into Builder Base and everything matters, traps are valuable assets to a defense.

Skeleton traps are one of the best traps. They are the best traps against heroes which are so prevalent at the higher town halls. I've seen so many attacks where a skeleton trap stalls the king or royal champion and prevents them from destroying their targets

It’s death to the royal champion. Only plausible reason you can make for why they aren’t good is because etitans are just so strong. Air bombs are also good bud. Even if it was only good against balloons, balloons are the best troop in the game and the dominating strategy across basically every townhall in the game. Plus, air bomb farms can wreck healers in a queen charge. Even spring traps have their place bud against strategies like hybrid or twin hogs. Learn your stuff

As a th13, everybody uses dragons/electro dragons. So, undoubtedly air mines are powerful and the tornado and skeleton traps prevent electro dragons from attacking your buildings, similarly to air sweeper.
Traps are there to add complexity to game & help defences take down troops rather than take oit troops themselves. For example seeking air mines are deadly for blimp, e drag,queen walk, gaint bomb are deadly for hybrid if you don't pay attention, spring trap is what effective against mass hogs, skeleton trap can slow down queen walk ,e drag , kill hogs if you don't deal with them, while spring trap makes golem & super witch special as they can't be killed by spring trap like other tank (yeti, ice golem). Tornedo trap will kill a bat , force other troops to take heavy fire.

I feel like this video was made by someone who is a town hall 8 or 9. At that level, yes, traps aren't that important. Maxed th15 or 16 bases are tough to attack. But move all the traps to a corner and the base suddenly becomes so much weaker. You can Blizzard/Super Archer blimp anywhere you want because there are no giant bombs, send a blimp from any angle because no tornado trap to intercept, dragon-family troops become so much stronger because Seeking Air Mines would otherwise take a combined ~22,500 health off your troops, no coco loons in a queen charge saves you 30-40 housing space of troops, your lava hounds don't instantly die in a lalo, etc etc.
Every trap can be good for something. Giant bombs rid of relatively weak troops and deal good amounts of damage to ones that survive, seeking air mine just annihilates air troops, air bomb kills groups, spring traps precisely pick off certain enemies, skeleton trap distracts their units and tornado can group them up to maximize aoe tower's potential. All of that except the small bomb. Deals chip damage but thats about it, it can't even kill barbarians

Traps counter so many strategies in the game and having them placed correctly can absolutely abolish an attackers plan. Regular bombs are used to control small swarms or finish off the work a giant bomb would have done on the aforementioned super archers. Tornado trap can be used to fuck blimps, hold troops on place for scatters or infernos, cause an attack to completely change its Pathway, ect Ever had a couple building left and the 3 fucking minions your opponent brought suddenly hit the last air mine u had on the map stopping a 3 star? Larry's can be used smartly both air or ground to delay an advance or pull a hero off a key defense just long enough to save it. Spring traps can literally remove an ice golem instantly at lower levels and at max will off a yeti in one shot. If traps feel useless, it's 100% because you copy and paste your bases and have never engineered one. Traps are always important. Their prices a little high but tech for the value they can bring and their respective cost to other items at higher th levels their perfect imo, because as you hit higher levels with 6 builders you will most definitely hit times when you don't have the resources to get the next big defense done. I'd rather keep the builder busy and not lose build time. This is the time to level your traps. Not everyone is grinding 24/7 it will happen, and say you have enough to get a trap going you now have however many days before the next building is done to casually save up for the next big upgrade. Until you hit 13, maybe even 12 + it isn't super noticeable, but for instance, at 14 and 15, it's a great way to keep your builder constantly upgrading.
Skeleton trap cost one of our guys a three star in war once. He was running out of time and the skeleton trap distracted the Queen for just long enough that he couldn’t get the last shot off that would have gotten the three. Pretty annoying way to miss out on a star.

Air mines and air bombs are the only useful mines. And the latter is beginning to feel obsolete.
Giant bomb with combo of bomb tower and small bomb prevents me from three star using clean up hogs. Kuddos to the base of that guy.

Traps are a cog in the machine, the game would definitely be worse without them.

Why does this keep getting negative feedback?! It's true that traps are quite useless some doesn't even activate and it just isn't worth the time and cost of these upgrades I mean there are some exception but still please stop hate

Traps are literally the reason s-arch attacks can become 1 star from supposedly a 3 star
Traps never appear unless your a few buildings away from the next star and you only have a few low HP troops left.

Idk man, today i got attacked 5 times in the cwl and they all got 1 star. 4 of the 5 attacks flew into two giant bombs with their super archer blimp. Traps can absolutely carry.

wdym useless, they are important asf. The tornado itself can literally change the whole attack. Its arguably a top5 defense. Red air mines farms too can bait anyone, black mines can kill blimps and drags. Giant bombs are strong af vs hogs. Spring traps are the sole reason regular hogs arent in the meta.

traps are great. if you watched some of the attacks in championship games, the skeleton traps distracted the heroes and ran out of time
traps do not suck.. had my warden get killed by a tornado trap in a clan war attack like a week ago... i still 3* tho but it was close and woulda been no question with my warden up and I doubt anything else would have been able to kill him because I had some troops ahead of him

Traps are very important in low and high TH, especially around TH13 to counter hybride and blizzard
