Enjoying seeing how y'all have your daughter not afraid of the small things one might find around the home. Her picking up the frogs was wonderful
She isn’t afraid of much! A country girl for sure!
@@CajunCountryLivin Especially after mommy stepped on it! 😅🤣🤣🤣 Big hello to you all from France! Keep the nice vids coming, we love them!
Thankful you were safe during the storm. Looks like it was a wild one. I enjoy watching Ladly, she is really growing. I look forward to seeing the progress on the containers.
Thank goodness the chickens were safe from that storm! And re-purpose the wood in a treehouse build 😁
Glad you all made it through the storm! Maybe make Ladley a bench for her bedroom or some kind of play table.❤
Nice purse Jimbo! Definitely your style! Glad you are all safe and sound.
Pink is so his color. 😂
So much in this one! Sorry for the storm damage. Glad you're all OK. Lad riding in her dads tractor with him is priceless! Y'all take care.
Us too Charles!! Princess in a tractor, who would’ve thought?🤔
It's always enjoyable seeing the interactions between yall & yall daughter 😊
I think extending onto it and turning it into a treehouse would make her so happy. All kids love treehouses
Cute idea! We would all enjoy a tree house!
Oh wow, thank God everyone is ok 🙏 Love what you did with the thumbnail! 👍 Hugs to you! ❤
Thank you!!
1 man’s junk is another man’s treasure!!! I love going through others junk for sure.
Yes!!!
Hi y'all. Glad to see ya'll are ok. Those storms are a fright. Keep up the good work. Have a great week. 🤗🤗🤗❤..
Hi! Thank you for watching!🥰
You guys do so much work! Lydia, per usual you are always stunning but you looked flipping amazing in this one. 🔥
That cypress wood would make great outdoor planters on your porches !!
Good idea!!
I found myself grinning from ear to ear many times throughout this video... Y'ALL really have something very special...!
TNX 4 VID LOL
Glad you all made it through the storm safe and sound. Just sad to see your girls swing set got damaged beyond repair.
Us too! We will find a good use for the wood!
Jim and Lydia storms have been everywhere. Just had some tornadoes ripped through Southwest Michigan last week. It’s been crazy. Stay safe watch that baby so she doesn’t try to play with those black moccasins….. 🇺🇸👊🏼👊🏼🇺🇸
I live in Alachua, Florida and 99% of our storms come from the gulf. A few weeks ago we received the same warning message. It was a calm day then things escalated rapidly. Crazy to see others experience the same thing as we did so far away. I’m curious to know if it was the same weather system. Glad y’all are safe.
I love your thinking of build it stronger than required. My first home (cabin) I built called for a 7lb.per sq. ft. dead load for snow. I built it 56lbs per sq. ft. They thought I was crazy till a few years later when that area got almost three times the normal snow (global warming).
I'm glad to see y'all are all right. Good bless, be safe. 😊❤
Thank you so much!
We are glad to see you rode the storm out well. Up here in Wyoming, 80 mph winds happen often. It's always scary, and it seems like something always needs fixed after. Thanks, Captain Crocs and pretty Lydia. Your videos are good, clean entertainment. ❤❤
Any chance of showing how to convert an old garage into an apartment. I appreciate your videos- you guys are awesome
Hey y'all, glad you're all safe from that storm. I know it might take some work, but maybe some of the swing set wood can be used to make a nice big porch glider swing that y'all can sit and relax on. That was the only thought I had. Cheers y'all from this old, retired coot living the dream in Tennessee.
That would be really nice! We would love to do that. Thank you for watching ya Tennessee retiree 🫶
Great plan on how you're going to use the I beam. Can't wait to see the shop finished and y'all are putting it to use.
Thank you Keith!!
I was stationed in NOLA a few years after Katrina and lived in Algiers during those 18 months. I helped develop quite a bit of the unit's new emergency plan and would be one of those tasked to implement it in an event so I can absolutely appreciate the idea of gross-over-engineering.
Glad to see yall didnt suffer to bad from the storms. Seems like one thing or another down there. I thought the wind had blown poor ol gus over there for a minute when he was laying on the porch.. HAHAHA.. now... Mercy that new tractor didnt have any issues getting that metal out of the pile. Curious when we gonna get an update on the ol OBS chevy? Have a great weekend yall!!
Cajun family, my heart smiles when you come on! I’m also delighted that you’re safe!! 💙❤️❤️
Thank you Alvin!❤️🫶
The wood will come in handy after you build a firepit. I hear they are very enjoyable. Take care, I really enjoy your videos.
I saw the storm on the radar in your area.
I'm glad you are okay
I was scared there for a minute when you were putting the bbq grill back on the deck.
I saw your dog laying upside down and thought oh no the storm got the dog until I saw him move..😊
It is nice to live near family.
My maternal grandparents had over a hundred acres in Tennessee.
Eight of their children ending up building on the property. Now several of the grandchildren live there too.
They started their own subdivision I guess 😊
It was cute seeing Ladly with her collection of frogs.
As always wishing you the best.
Anxious to see that beam installed😊
Perhaps you could make a picnic table using the wood from the swingset.
Glad you guys are safe. I would use part of the container for a storm shelter. This would work because you have them welded to the concrete.
Hi! That’s the plan. 😁
Wow and I thought we got a lot of rain. I'm glad you all are OK. You might look at a float switch for your boat. I had one in mine and it was a great peace of mind when it rained.
Glad you all are ok, we had the same thing here in Texas. Jim, I know you are going to cut that I-beam, I will be watching to make sure you are wearing your PPE !!!!!
Thank God y'all made it through that one!!! That was some wild weather, specially south of y'all didn't do so well. 🙏 ing y'all was okay!! Was watching the radar for y'all's area, too. Keeping eyes on the one for Friday. Please keep safe!!!!
Jim, that was funny at the boat draining, lol . 😁 Lydia and Ladle 😊👏👍 knowing you can repair the gym set.
Love seeing y'all again 😍 y'all keep safe again this weekend. I be thinking of ya all .
100% needed that new tractor. Probably even more than the free miter saw that came with the oven!!
#CajunCrawfishDrivethrough
I couldn't agree with you more, Jim. ALWAYS overbuild! My grandkids like riding in my tractor with me too. I loved watching your daughter enjoy a ride with her dad.
Good morning Lydia and Jim!! I was glad to see y'all and then you started to explain the storm event. I was releaved to see it didn't do a lot of damage, save Ladly's play set which is sad, or hours leaks. When Jim was pumping out the boat in a couple of the scenes I thought I saw a twinkle in his eye that seemed consistent with exactly what I was thinking already. Then there was the scene shot from behind focusing on the water in front of him. I was laughing out loud and then he turned around and whle not really dwelling on it, the scene was like an easter egg reward for those who were really paying attention. I kept on chuckling to myslef 😁Lydia, you did a great job with shooting the random scenes and editing it all together into a very enjoyable vid. I especially want to say kudos for the music selection, it was on point! So I don't forget, you also always do such a nice job with Ladly's hair and outfits. Near the start with her braids and cute little outfit with the bucket and all; she was just so cute. I"m always amazed when I see braids done in that way. I agree about the convenience of family living in such a close radius how nice would be. Jim. I totally agree with your approach to design and construction. If you're going to do it, you might as well do it well. I take the same approach and would much rather make it an overkill initially, than wish I would have later on when it doesn't stand up. I like your thoughts on and engineered approach to providing the support for the upper containers on the project. Kudos on the approach and design for this. I loved the comments at the end you both made about all the Hootises that could come out of the Hootis Mfg Facility - you two really made me laught with that one 😂 Have a great week and I look forward to seeing y'all again next time. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
Good mindset Jim... if anything is worth doing, then it's worth overdoing
That mower looks well thought out and designed.
The mower is really nice! We really really like it!
Really glad to hear that y'all are ok! My son is in S. LA and he's ok too 😊 It really looked bad on the radar... You're right - family is everything!
Be safe and until next time ... have fun with the build 😅
I live in what was known as "The Cape of Storms" back in the days of sailboats.
You have probably heard of Cape Town, South Africa...
Here, whenever someone tells you that their new structure is "strong enough", the next big storm system that comes through says "HOLD MY BEER" and sometimes that "strong enough" structure winds up in the next property or sometimes, even the next suburb. Or pieces of it anyway...
Glad to hear that you believe in making things at least 3 times stronger than any "normal" person would expect.
I have a feeling that you have seen with your own eyes what CAN happen.
Possibly build some planter boxes or a porch swing.
LOL...we had the same thing in central Texas...and the good news is we get another one today!
Oh yes! Hitting us now!!
I'm glad that you are okay from the storm.
Us too Charley!
I am glad ya'll are safe! I can't wait to see how the containers turn out!
Thanks Gary!!
Always be prepared! Glad you had somewhere safe for your animals. Can you repurpose Ladley's playset into just the slide for now, or even her own little garden bed?
Great video and great editing. I appreciate the work you put into these videos. Take care
Glad you’re all safe!!! Maybe make cypress frame beds for the storm shelter just in case. Hope the dirt doctor didn’t get to mad when he found out you took his I beam. lol Take care!
I would recycle that wood to be a outdoor prep table or a indoor mobile kitchen island
A hope chest or toy box would be cool. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Glad everyone's safe!
That would be cool!
Glad to see you made it through those storms.. more coming.. be safe.
Really enjoyed the video ❤
That’s why when I built my house, I add extra bracing in the attic, in the wall corners and just the overall structure! I used to live in Big Lake on the island, right on the water where the flood waters come up and the wind is the worse! I didn’t stay long before I had enough of flooding in salt water! Build my house in 1984 and it’s 3 feet above the center of the road to the top of my slab! Haven’t flooded yet and hopefully I won’t!
Repurpose the wood for a nice fire in the evening! I Am glad you guys are ok.
Hey ! I am new to your channel and I love that you both do a bit of everything... here trying to support you grow . from the south Bronx nyc .
By looking at the sky, looks like y’all are getting rain right now, Lydia and Jim!
We sure are!☔️
First of all, glad everyone is safe!! Now I must admit, I thought Jim was about to say, "The goats and chickens spent the night in the house with us." 😂. I see a new "contest" in our future, "Guess how many hootises we made from the scrap iron pile". As for me, personally I'm just glad the tractor and boat made it through the storm. Those are two things we men can't survive without!😁 Also, we love Lad's "work outfit"🥰.
Use the play set wood for a sandbox or flower boxes!
Good idea!!
So glad everyone is ok. ✌️😎
Us too!❤️
Glad you’re ok. We had the bad stuff here in Lufkin as well but not the hail. Corrigan got tennis ball sized. 6-1/2” rain on Sunday and now we’re dealing with more heavy rains. I feel for you. The ground is so saturated, everything is flooding. The Neches has been flooded for a couple of months now. Being from Iowa, this was common.
Glad everyone is safe and sound ❤
Us too!🫶
That was quite a storm. Looks like you made it through okay. Looks like that tractor is going to really come in handy. Ladly sure is growing. Are southern chickens good pencil holding hootis like the ones up north 😊?
Hello from Oklahoma. We've had some serious weather here too! Glad your okay.
Glad to hear y’all are okay too!
I'm glad you are all ok. I'm about to do my 1st dry pour slab 4'x7'x3.5". 6 sure I need it that thick, but im in Ohio and don't want to chance it. The purpose is to point our rocking chairs towards the East and watch the sunrise.
I was thinking and praying for you guys the other day when I heard it was west Louisiana..
I hope the squirrels stayed in their house ❤
We checked and it’s still up! So we think so!
Wow! Lucky you are all ok. Looked very scary
Ya all are So cool. Love yer channel.
Thank you so much Bobby!
I enjoyed watching your videos
Glad you like them!
Night stand , bed frame
So glad there was no more damage, things can be replaced ❤
Absolutely🫶
I am so happy you and your family were safe and all other animals, but you forgot the squirrel's?
Looks like yalls storm had reached my area, buts its OK rain is what I need for my garden and grass. Glad yall are all ok.
Make a porch swing for the back porch out of the playset wood.
Cute idea!
There's only one animal update missing and that's the Wood brother squirrels, Pine and Oak! Enjoy your videos.
Hi! We went & checked on them & their house was still up! They might’ve been a little shaken, but looked okay!
Hell, no junk! That's a treasure where I come from 😂! They always say one man's junk is another man's treasure 🤑! We hope y'all have a blessed day and enjoy y'all weekend friends 🙏🙏🙏
Heck yes Cedric!💰💰💰 hope this weather misses y’all!
@CajunCountryLivin hope so thanks alot 🙏
Glad you're all safe!
Thank you!!
Good video good to see y'all
Looks like everyone I watch from the States got a storm 😂😢 wow the bucket of frogs, how cool😊 You could build a panic table for all to enjoy from the play set 😊 Gus is enjoying the water 😂😂😅 Until the next video❤❤
Thank God you and your family are safe 🙏 have a blessing day
Yes 🫶🤟
Nice engineering y'all. Hope it doesn't go from flood to draught this year.
Fingers crossed!
that little girl cute and brave😊
Yes!🫡🫶
Super Cell is like the precurser to a Tornado. Huricane clips holding the roof to the support wall really helps. Unpredictable weather and will not going to get better until after the Federal election. Forest fires etc. and even earthquakes.
Thank goodness we would hurricane clips everywhere that we could when we built!
You could make her a bench out of that wood or a chair or even a table for outside and the material that was on top still can be used if need be as cushion on the arms velcro
Great idea!! Thank you!
Proof of your skill is that porch is still there, I'm going to admit I thought that was going to be doing an a Alice in Wonderland in the first sign of any major mind, well done sir, build 3 times stronger seems to be the thing.
We have the same type of storm coming through tonight be safe. I am glad to see y’all came out alive. Sorry to see the damage. Is that part of the Calcasieu River. Love the supply yard.
Y’all stay safe too. Our hearts go out to those who lost family members. ❤️
Be safe tonight!
So glad y'all ok have a wonderful day
You too!
Make her a bed in her room or even a play house for the inside of the house somewhere. You can even fix it up like new and leave it outside.
Great idea!! Thank you!!
And as I watch we are under a flash flood watch due to the amount of rain we are getting in my part of NE Texas. Stay safe y'all
Looks like its heading your way now
Y’all stay safe! Let us know if we can do anything!
Yes glad you guys are safe. And Gus looked like he had a long night aka spread out like a leaf, lol yes sometimes it only takes one bite, glad they were afraid of you guys, plus they must know Jim,because they would be in a lot,😂
I'm glad you all are ok!
🙏🙏
Think it would be cool to build her a keep sake box or toy box out of the wood, so she has it for a while to come!
Cute idea!!
Playhouse window trim ,roof trim.
The idea!
I’m getting storm alerts today, so I don’t know what is going on now! More storms? I hope not guys, I’m tired of the rain for now!
Ugh! Us too!!
having lost most of my garden to storms with totally shredded leaves and growth many times with massive hail, understand not the worst impacts. very sensible thoughts about what happened, repurposing timber for your daughter will be seen as a great thing. the boat looks like it is hardy enough and not worth tidying up really given its use and being stored outside.
Good to see you all are doing OK
Yes sir!
You have enough wood to make a nice hope chest fo her. Thanks for the great content.
Thanks for watching! That’s a great idea!
Hey Lydia and Jim, thanks for sharing! Sending prayers and positive vibes your way! Yall take care and stay safe and I’ll do my best to do the same friends! GOD BLESS AMERICA 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🙋🏼✌🏻✌🏻
Thank you so much Kirk!!🇺🇸🇺🇸
Glad you’re all ok
Us too. 🫶
Yowza! Mother Nature sure is strong! Glad your okay!
She sure is!!
Jim they cost more but an 800 gallon n hour pump would empty that boat in three minutes
