Great video Dave. 4 years ago, your forging videos and DIY bedroll cook set video inspired me to make my own bedroll cook set.
Instead of buying a piece of pipe for the lock for the grate, I used this pigtail hook lock and also attached my grate to the fork I made the same way.
Great proof of concept! I’m liking the Continuous Improvement (CI) in your product development. If I recall you were involved in Quality Engineering and CI in a “past life”.

I purchased the squirrel cooker many years ago when they first came out and use it all the time at camp and also use the fork for the grilling , now I have to modify the fork.. Thanks for sharing..

Nice man. It seems that instead of just a flat grill surface, you could also do a like little lockable basket. Just for flipping. Tatters, meat, whatever.

I'm definitely interested in the *21LH,* 21st Century Long Hunter Squirrel Cooker set.
How much does the entire set consisting of the pigtail upright, the meat fork/pot hook/sliding rack clip, and the stainless steel wire mesh rack weigh in at? Can I assume that an oiled canvas carrying case might also be offered with the set? I could definitely see pairing this set together with a Firebox Stove, Freestyle, stainless steel, 8-panel Everything Kit.

Very neat idea. Are these still made by in house by your family. Can remember a video from a few years ago where you showed the making of these. I think you said back then that these were made by your daughter, or has demand made it more of mass production product.
