What a match. American football players have great respect for rugby and rugby players. They are the same kindred spirits. Rugby is a league comprised of line backers and running backs. Everyone can kick. The only 2 sports were tthe coach demands.
you give and take all the pain you can until the whistle blows.

Does Fiji have a pregame dance as well? Or is that only the All Blacks (New Zealand)?

Pronounced "thimbi" with a hard "th" like when you say 'the' or 'then'

@@officeblokedazI think Rugby tends to get looked down on in the US because quite frankly, most of the people in the US who play rugby, play it because they simply weren’t good enough to play football.
The game is alright and I can see the appeal, but I don’t know if it’s superior to games with similar physicality like Football or even hockey. The players in rugby are big but the biggest are 6’5-6” whilst almost everyone in the NFL playing on either side of the line is 6’3-8”, far superior athletes as well.

out of curiosity, what makes you think far superior athletes? Bearing in mind that Rugby is played by the same starting 15 players for majority of game with only a 10 minute half time break. @@PapaGG360

@@OfficeBlokeDazSportsEdition I fully respect your point about the same players being on the field for the majority of the game. I do remember when you mentioned one of the players in the video being one of the quicker players in rugby, but I don’t think he compares to the type of athletes you find in the NFL. There are plenty of guys in the NFL that are 6’5” 275 lbs and can run a 4.5 40 yard dash. There’s also the players who could’ve been track stars like Tyreek Hill, Devin Hester and Chris Johnson. So there’s a variety of athletes that come in all shapes and sizes.
I’d argue that the NFL boasts athletes that are superior to most in the world barring the NBA. I think the differences in explosiveness is evident. Nobody in this specific video struck me as someone who could take the ball down the field 20mph like a running back in the NFL.
Much respect for the level of stamina required but it seems to come at the cost of the physicality and explosiveness that endears people to the game of Football. 🏈
