    Hi Gina! I found out I had some cube beads from so many years ago and stayed up till early morning making one in light blue color. I was so happy to finish it coz I was so sleepy by that time. I woke up this morning and saw it - I was so impressed how beautiful it was. Now I can use all those cube beads and can make birthday and Christmas gifts for my friends. I usually just string beads ( started by making bracelets for my pediatric patients) but now I'm hooked with bead weaving. Thank you for sharing your talent!!!

    • @GGCBeginningbeaders
      @GGCBeginningbeaders  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      LOL, I have had many late nights like that. Either I am totally impressed with my work the next morning, or it becomes obvious how tired I really was😜 I am happy you are enjoying bead weaving, it is so much more versatile than stringing, though, I still like stringing too.😁

      I feel better that someone else has as thousands of beads and hasn't used them in years. I was feeling guilty about all the money I've spent on them and them going to waste. But like you the gotten back into beading again. Kinda glad I have all those beads!!

    I actually really liked how it looked with just 1 seed bead on each side of the crystal. It's pretty both ways, but i really dig the minimalistic look of that. If I make this i think I will definitely finish it there!

    4mm firepolish does work.... this is raw.

      Yes, it is RAW, you are absolutely right. I figured Firepolish would work.

      @@GGCBeginningbeaders When I teach beading I never tell them what stitch it is until the project is done. I noticed with my ladies if I told them what the stitch was one lady in particular would get frustrated if she knew the stitch💕.

      @@jeilers2146 I didn’t mention it because I didn’t feel that it was important at the time. I was just focused on the design and keeping it simple. And yes, some people do have preconceived notions about particular stitches. But, yes it’s embellished RAW. 😁

    Beautiful necklace, but I think it’s an overkill of going back and forth, in and out SO MANY TIMES. I think if you use good thread there’s no reason to go over one spot 4 or 5 or 6 times. It should be just fine doing it twice. Not trying to be ugly, I just think those VW of us who make jewelry to sell will not make a profit off of it because it takes incredibly way to long to make.

      But of course, no one is forcing you to make the piece the way I did, If you think you can do it, and make it strong enough by going through the beads less. then go for it. I do not think a free tutorial should be criticized, just modify it to fit your needs and move on. And BTW, it is a pretty fast moving project regardless. I made a profit. Better yet, find a video you think is worth your time.
