Ah the Babicz acoustic guitar :) my baby! It’s actually black, but it’s a super cool guitar that has the actual strings fan out like that. Really cool design!
❤WOW! I’m currently trigging our light show using MultiTracker to send midi notes to an analog Rockville DMX board. ❤The device you review in this video would make life so much easier when programming our automated light shows for each backing tracks. ❤While “midi gives me a headache” I think the DoreMidi will make programming so much easier and reduce set up time. It’ll also reduce our stage foot print since the DoreMidi would fit right into our rack without taking up 4 spaces like the Rockville DMX board. Plus the Rockville analog board can only receive messages on channel 1 so I can’t change that which impacts all the patch changes and our other control changes. ❤Once ahead great review. Thank you so much Scott. I’m really thinking about making a video about how our band has implemented all your tutorials.
Great video Scott! I’m using MIDI now for setting patches on drum machine, vocal processor, guitar effects, and keyboard patches. Might as well run down this DMX rabbit hole now for lights….lol…..MIDI gives me a headache!
Midi gives me a headache dude this is so cool I have been setting all my lights individually to finally be able to control them all will make the shows look so pro!!
I have never messed around with any of this type of stuff but just watching your videos MIDI gives me a headache. However, when the day arrives where I need to start using MIDI, I know who I'm gonna call.
2 questions: First, where has this device been? I have been trying a number of things to synch my lights to a midi track playing through Multitracker and this looks like it might be the answer! Second, it appears that by sending different cc values (0-127) it will change the intensity of the light? At least, that’s what it looks like when you sent two different values to the amber light. Thanks.
I love the idea of using triggers to control things but MIDI gives me a headache! Thanks for the awesome content 👍 this video makes MIDI less of a pain 😁
Midi gives me a headache - and that's why I need this product, I've been waiting for something this straightforward for a long time ! I'm looking forward to the integration with stage traxx ! Too bad it doesn't have a Learn function for midi. I was about to test lightkey, would you do a video on it ? Thanks Scott, awesome content as always !!
@@ScottUhlMusic I've tested a few and here are my to pic : Photon, StageLight, Vibrio and Ligthrider. These support midi and require an Art-net node, I can tell you more of my thoughts on each if need be.
"MIDI gives me a headache" Hey Scott I still use my trusty DMXIS and Behriner FBC 1010 Controller, But Iwill have to look into this as well Thanks agin for all your vids Very informative Great stuff Keep Rockin' 😎
I have Dmxis and I love it and it works well. But that’s for automated midi stuff with a laptop (which I do with Spiral Cell)… not for this kind of stuff which is different imo. I need to look into other ENTTEC stuff. Do they have something similar to this? I despise that their new software is a subscription service. I cannot stand that, and I know that I’ll get to a venue with no Wi-Fi and it will give me a “please confirm your subscription now” message at some point. That’s the main reason I hate subscriptions
Great video! Question: there are 3 columns on my MTD-1024 that I don't see any instructions in the manual for: "Fix | Fad | Tog" It goes: SN | DMX | Sta | Ctl | CH | En | Fix | Fad | Tog I assume they are "fixed, fade, and toggle" but I have no idea what values to put in there and there is nothing in my Venue tetra bar manual either. Thoughts?
I just bought an Enntec usb pro dmx, but I wish i had knew of the DoreMidi option before T_T, It seems like it would be easier to integrate within a DAW-Backingtrack inear sync style. (enntec works great, but paying rent for the Emu software, or any software, is a dealbreaker for me. Also, programming midi is way easier than learning and setting QLC+ up, at least for now). any opinions about this?
I loved my Dmxis, but I won’t pay for a lighting software for a monthly fee. I’ll pay for it flat out, but not a monthly fee. I really don’t like that they went that route
Hi mate firstly, your videos are awesome. The way you put all the time into bringing us these videos is top notch. Legend! I have a question you may be able to help with. I use ableton with my Mac for our bands tracks live, using this device, would it make it possible to program a midi track of controls that control my stage lights via the dmx? So that when I run the track in ableton the lights will follow the midi track for each song? If that makes sense. Can i control the dmx lights with this device and just my Mac using the midi editor in ableton?
Thanks! And yup, this will work for that, although it’s limited because you can’t load chases or anything like that. But it’s meant to convert midi to DMX with something like Ableton 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for the reply mate! I do have a dmx controller that I normally use but I can’t seem to get the midi to work through it , I followed your video on how to control dmx with a midi controller (another awesome video) and tried to control the lights going out from my MacBook into my SPD Sx then to the midi in on the dmx controller and setting the in channel on the controller to match but no luck. I’m guessing the midi port on the controller is suspect.
Scott, thanks for this review. I use midi triggers from ProPresenter to trigger events in Companion and Atem, and i have wanted to control just a few dmx lights, without having to step over into Ableton. But because Midi gives me a headache, I've had to adjust commands off by one or two octives all the time. This devices seems great to send dmx without adding another software to the computer. Thanks, Ben
Hey Scott! Super helpful. I'm wondering about that amber dimmer. You don't ever turn it off right? So you push and release and it's set to 16. Then if you push the blue button, you're going to get amber and blue right? Just trying to understand how the Midi Captain and DoreMidi work together.
Hi Scott amazing video. I would like to ask, if it is possible to control the dimmer on the lights. For example if you have a live show with backing tracks and the lights are programmed to change to the music. You would program the lights in a daw export them and play the via cymatic audio or the M-Live B.Beat. I use the a Chauvet Obey 40 dmx controller live and it can not use the dimmer this way it is either 100% or 0%. Sorry for the confusing comment.
MIDI gives me a headache, but somehow I'm still using it since 1986 and now I'm still running MIDI files on my live shows every weekend with inserting midi notes on channel 16 to control my DMX light show using FreeStyler DMX program. What am I going to do without MIDI? 😅😁
Great video, as usual! By the way, what do you call, and where did you get those acoustic panels on the wall? Are they helpful for the guitars in some way? I'm asking because I'm getting ready to wall mount eight guitars. Thanks.
Thanks! And the panels are just ones off Amazon. Nothing super pro. The hangers are also off of Amazon as well. I want to get stuff by GIK at some point for actual studio treatment
Amazon says its unavailable :( not able to purchase this. This would fit our band great, seems very compact and easy for everyone in our band to operate. Wish we had one to get started. Awesome review as usual Scott. Keep’em coming bud!!
If you use ableton, I think using DMX software will be much easier to accomplish that 👍 but I believe that should be possible with automating the value specifically
Great video! Thanks so much for putting this together @ScottUhlMusic ! Do you happen to know if I wanted to convert a MIDI signal to DMX signal to send to a Lightning Director so they can control the MIDI ran device using there DMX console, would the MTD-1024 by DoreMidi be the best way to go? Thank you so much for your time and help
Thanks! And this device is cool, but it’s definitely limited because it’s tough to do chases or anything like that with it. It’s better for loading scenes/presets/etc
@@ScottUhlMusic I might consider one to consolidate a smaller setup even as I work in integrating a full sync'd lighting right with QLC+ on Windows being triggered from Ableton following some inspiration from one of your earlier automation videos. Quite the learning curve and setup...
Hi Scott - another great video and product. What MIDI Controller/keyboard do you use create a midi track in your DAW, and how is it cabled up? Does the DoreMidi box help/hurt? My goal is to set up my Nektar Impact MIDI keyboard to drive the DMX 384 controller which in turn both drives the light changes and also sends the MIDI info into my DAW (using Studio One 4.x at the moment). This works, but then the playback is not working. I literally have to reset the cabling to get the DAW to drive the DMX 384. Totally inefficient. I will pay for consulting if that is what needs to happen! Thx
If you are using a computer, then using some sort of lighting software would be easier than using this device imo. This is more for trigging lights without a computer
I would buy it straight away! Quick question tho: for a certain DMX signal which would send out fades (I.E. Dimmers) and stuff like that via MIDI, would it be doable with an AfterTouch signal? If so: how would you set the unit for that to work properly? Otherwise which way would you recommend?
That I don’t know, I’m not sure how to program “fades” or “transitions.” I do that with DMXIS with midi out of Ableton personally. But I don’t know how to do it with this method
Our band runs sound and lights from stage. Currently using a tablet to control lights but a nice midi controller and this would be a great backup! But I’m no MIDI master and MIDI gives me a headache!!
I like that you're always willing to try out new stuff. I'm just like that myself whilst a lot of people that I work with are mostly afraid when I'm introducing new technology 😅. This could be the cleanest solution yet. Ideally I would like a plain converter, without any display or buttons. Most of these USB DMX solutions require additional software which is not interesting for med since I will automate MIDI in Logic that I will send to control the lights. Question: Is this device isolated? I.e.: is it safe for a computer if any electronic shenanigans occur? Can't find any info about that. I'm not an expert but I've read that this is important to think about.
@@ScottUhlMusic I'm just learning about this and it makes sense to me that isolation should only be an issue when receiving a signal, and I do find a note about this in their manual on "MIDI IN", namely: "Optical Isolator", so I think/hope it's safe. Questions: As I do find it a little annoying to use a display and knob to setup everything, I wonder if there is a dedicated software for this, preferably on Mac? And on that note, what does it do if you don't program anything? Ideal for me would be a default setting that the first note or CC would correspond to DMX 1 and so forth, but that's probably not the case right?
Great video...is it possible to use in conjunction with MIDI sent by a computer (from Logic for example)? or for the sake of sanity is better to have the lights controlled by a foot switch separated from the computer? I know MIDI always gives me a headache...
Great video! I invested in the ODE MKIII by Entec and it's great and all, but it gives me a headache as much as MIDI gives me a headache. I would probably be better off with the device you showed off.
Hi Scott, thanks for the great videos👍👍. I’m using multi tracker, can it output midi via the lightning port (using cam kit) AT THE SAME TIME as audio from headphone Jack? TIA very much 🙏
Hey Scott, i was wondering if this would be possible to do using the stage traxx 3 and widi master? I would love to be able to have a light show going along with my backing tracks and midi commands to my helix.
MIDI gives me a headache when it’s not consistent either 0-127 or 1-128. But I love MIDI. With my band I use Studio One for stereo backing tracks then a click track for us plus a MIDI track that transmits to a DMX controller for timed lights with our songs. This device would be nice because I could use a MIDI foot controller with another universe and trigger some special effects at will.
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks. yeah the makes sense. The reason I'm using Ableton is to sync the lights with music. So I'll have to map notes to dmx values using the MTD device.
Hmm... good question, I actually don't know. I've just used it with the 5pin MIDI. I would reach out and ask, that's a good question! I don't know why I didn't think of that.
Hi Scott, I'm Pablo and I'm speaking to you from Spain. Thanks to your video that I saw a long time ago I decided to buy the BBeat and it is wonderful, I have already used it in several gigs and I am still amazed, so thank you. I wanted to ask you a question about MIDI, to see if there is any luck and you can help me. I want to launch the lights with the BBeat sequence after watching your video, for that, in the Daw, I program the lights through a DMX controller, I have already done this and it works. Then I export a MIDI file from Daw with the lighting track I made and include it in BBeat, in the MIDI section. That's when the problem comes, BBeat does see my track, imports it, but creates a flat sequence, and of course, it doesn't send midi to the DMX controller. The truth is that I'm a little desperate now, let's see if you can give me a hand, thank you. All the best
Glad you like the B Beat! And you should be able to send messages to something like the DOREMIDI device to convert it to DMX. Although there is a device called the MVP by 4Cast I’m excited about that will be better at converting midi to DMX. But it should automatically work with b beat
@@ScottUhlMusic Thank you very much for your response and sorry for insisting. The file is correct, I used a U2MIDI cable from the DAW to the ADJ Operator DMX and it recorded the track correctly and lights up correctly when playing it from the DAW. Also, I have exported the file and re-imported it and it is correct, correct notes, channel 12 as in your video, I understand that everything is fine. Therefore, the problem is when sending it from the BBeat to my ADJ. I do it with a mini jack (BBeat output) to midi (ADJ input) cable, but it doesn't do anything. I have checked the channel and record on 12 and the file also goes on 12, and the ADJ also goes on 12. I know that in your video you export MIDI to a pedal board via bluethood, but I would appreciate it if you could make one explaining the output to the ADJ with the MIDI file recorded in the BBeat, that is, a continuation of the one you have, since that is where the problem is. BBeat users thank you for your explanations, since thanks to you, we can get the most out of this wonder. Thank you very much for your work. All the best
Your video is spot on but I’m no where near this yet cause I’m still trying to learn about your other stuff. However; am I correct in saying that you don’t necessarily need this if you run Stage Traxx3? I’ll go ahead and say “Midi gives me a headache” but I hope it’s short lived.
Stage Traxx doesn’t have a way to run lighting directly. But stage Traxx does SEND midi, so the idea is the same as I did with the midi captain. Just with stage Traxx sending the midi
Hi Scott. I have found this video, as well as so many of your videos really helpful. I am in the process of changing a live show to be controlled by a standalone backing track controller. I am using the Idoru p1. (I agree that the B.Beats might be better, but Adam gave me a unit to use for instruction my class, and Marco offered me a discount, but not a free bee.) Anyway, I digress. I wish to control my light show from a midi file on p1, which is easy enough for rudimentary fixtures, but I would like to use moving heads. I have been controlling these with a stand alone controller. What I'm wondering is if you know of a device that would take the DMX from my controller in real time, and convert it to Midi which I could send to my DAW. This would be so that I could program the lights in sync to the backing track in my daw. It looks like the DoreMidi would be great for running the lights live, but for making the track it would be so much more accurate and less time consuming to use the faders and joy stick from my console. Does this make sense? Thanks for any thoughts you have, and again thinks for all you great videos.
Hey man, I’m in the process of reviewing the MaestroDMX and MVP by 4Cast which can do much more with lighting than this unit that can be triggered with midi 👍
I have a bio sonification device, it translate the bioactivity of the plants in a midi note flow like a musicisn playng a polyphonic or monofonic keyboard ,is it possible to use this devices to pair the note flow wiht lights? I don’t understand if is possible to manage the midi note on/off data . Thank you.
Scott, thank you for what you do. You have literally change my life for the better. Would this work with midi Jack for wireless midi from iPad using Stage Traxx 3? Any way to program chase scenes?

Sweet! Glad to help! And the stuff by CME PRO (WIDI) will work great for it 🤘
I have a Dmxis that I don't use. Not sure if this gadget is the answer though. Seems like it would replace my Chauvet light controller though.
@@Riffman42 DMXIS is great! They just discontinued it for some reason
You do have a gift to describe and explain complex problems. Thanks for sharing Awesome video, as usual, Personally I can't say MIDI gives me a headache but I have a thing for the gear. I'm looking forward to seeing next video.
Thanks! I’m glad to hear that. I went back and forth on the best way to explain this one since it was a bit more complex
Thanks again. 🖖🏽🍀
MIDI gives me a headache
Excellent video! Unfortunately, Midi gives me a headache, so I need some advil after this!
Thank you 🙏
Another awesome video, crammed with tons of great info and ideas. Much appreciated, Scott! I'm a fan for life. And, MIDI really DOES give me a headache!! LOL
Curious about the blue guitar over your right shoulder. I've never seen anything like that. What is it?
Glad to help! Yeah I have a DMX controller, but I wanted something smaller, and this is perfect!
MIDI gives me a headache… but not your videos!! Thank you as always!!
Glad you like them! 🤘🤘
Midi gives me a headache! For real! Lol but I need to start doing more of it. This is a great video! Solves a lot of problems for me. Thanks Scott
Thanks! Glad it was as helpful to you as it was to me!
Thanks for another super helpful video. I’m beginning to get into end control right now. And yes, MIDI gives me a headache
Great video Scott! I’m using MIDI now for setting patches on drum machine, vocal processor, guitar effects, and keyboard patches. Might as well run down this DMX rabbit hole now for lights….lol…..MIDI gives me a headache!
Nice! Yeah, midi is the best when it works!
Another great video Scott..
Thank you 🙏
Midi gives me a headache dude this is so cool I have been setting all my lights individually to finally be able to control them all will make the shows look so pro!!
Yeah, it helps SO much!
@@ScottUhlMusic how much is the consulting in case i get stuck?

Midi gives me a headache. But DMX gives me a migraine, I think I need this device.
Hahahahahaha I should have had that be the phrase 😂😂
I have never messed around with any of this type of stuff but just watching your videos MIDI gives me a headache. However, when the day arrives where I need to start using MIDI, I know who I'm gonna call.
Haha yeah this one was somewhat complex, but works very well!
Thanks.
I’m not sure where the company is front, but yes, most of the time the value will set the brightness of the light 🤘
Thanks. I am going to get one now
I love the idea of using triggers to control things but MIDI gives me a headache! Thanks for the awesome content 👍 this video makes MIDI less of a pain 😁
Glad you liked it!
Midi learn would be nice. I haven’t used Lightkey but I need to look into it! I need new software
@@ScottUhlMusic I've tested a few and here are my to pic : Photon, StageLight, Vibrio and Ligthrider. These support midi and require an Art-net node, I can tell you more of my thoughts on each if need be.
MAJOR MAJOR MAJOR part of my rig!! MIDI gives me a headache lol
MIDI gives me a headache. Nice vid, Scott.
MIDI gives me a headache... your channel is helpful :)
Thank you!
Thanks Scott, very helpful video!! "MIDI gives me a headache"
Glad it helped!
"MIDI gives me a headache" Hey Scott I still use my trusty DMXIS and Behriner FBC 1010 Controller, But Iwill have to look into this as well Thanks agin for all your vids Very informative Great stuff Keep Rockin' 😎
I wish they didn’t discontinue DMXIS! It was such a good system
you like this one more than the Enttec stuff?
I have Dmxis and I love it and it works well. But that’s for automated midi stuff with a laptop (which I do with Spiral Cell)… not for this kind of stuff which is different imo. I need to look into other ENTTEC stuff. Do they have something similar to this? I despise that their new software is a subscription service. I cannot stand that, and I know that I’ll get to a venue with no Wi-Fi and it will give me a “please confirm your subscription now” message at some point. That’s the main reason I hate subscriptions
MIDI gives me a headache, but with this device, controlling the DMX through MIDI will be a game changer for me.
Definitely a game changer! Using it now actually
I NEED THIS!! Midi gives me a headache!!
Rarely have I seen a video and purchased an item before the video is over... I have been looking for a product like this for so long!
Nice! Glad to help 🤘🤘
Great video! Question: there are 3 columns on my MTD-1024 that I don't see any instructions in the manual for: "Fix | Fad | Tog"
It goes: SN | DMX | Sta | Ctl | CH | En | Fix | Fad | Tog
I assume they are "fixed, fade, and toggle" but I have no idea what values to put in there and there is nothing in my Venue tetra bar manual either. Thoughts?
Interesting… that might be a new firmware I’m not familiar with
I just bought an Enntec usb pro dmx, but I wish i had knew of the DoreMidi option before T_T, It seems like it would be easier to integrate within a DAW-Backingtrack inear sync style.
Thanks, Ben
Yup! I use ableton for my in-depth light show with my original music, but for just triggering different scenes, this is amazing!
Scott - hope you don’t mind the question - ever run midi clock to analog to set a tap tempo on a sound board? Or soundtrax3 to footswitch?
I have not done that, no. I need to do more stuff with midi clock as I don’t use it that often
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for replying
Hey Scott! Super helpful. I'm wondering about that amber dimmer. You don't ever turn it off right? So you push and release and it's set to 16. Then if you push the blue button, you're going to get amber and blue right? Just trying to understand how the Midi Captain and DoreMidi work together.
Thanks! And anything that goes on basically ALWAYS has to go off live. I was just demoing this to make it make the most sense for a video
@@ScottUhlMusic Thanks. Since the midi captain sends 6 commands on down press and 6 on up, does that mean you're limited to a max of 12 DMX channels?
Hi Scott amazing video. I would like to ask, if it is possible to control the dimmer on the lights. For example if you have a live show with backing tracks and the lights are programmed to change to the music. You would program the lights in a daw export them and play the via cymatic audio or the M-Live B.Beat. I use the a Chauvet Obey 40 dmx controller live and it can not use the dimmer this way it is either 100% or 0%. Sorry for the confusing comment.
Setting the VALUE will control the brightness of the lights, but it will depend on your lighting. Some lights are just on or off
Great video as always Scott. Midi gives me a headache
Thank you!
@@ScottUhlMusic I’m trying to work out whether this could replace my ADJ operator 384?
Nice option for this application niceeee…
MIDI gives me a headache. Great video
MIDI gives me a headache, but somehow I'm still using it since 1986 and now I'm still running MIDI files on my live shows every weekend with inserting midi notes on channel 16 to control my DMX light show using FreeStyler DMX program. What am I going to do without MIDI? 😅😁
Haha it gives me a headache for sure, but I absolutely love it!
Oh weird…. I wonder why. It’s available for me!
maybe doesnt available in other countries? D Just shows up as unavailable on my end, im from Norway. 😅@@ScottUhlMusic
I enjoy your videos 🎉
Thank you!
Yes, Midi gives me a headache, but I've learned to live with it. Learning how to program lights has been fun, but also frustrating.
I enjoy it, it’s just VERYYYYY tedious sometimes
Great help just started useing lights. Midi gives me a headache!
Welcome aboard! Many long nights of tedious programming awaits you 😅
Hi Scott. I got a question. If I use Ableton, for example. Can I control the dimmer using an automation line on the CC that controls the lights?
If you use ableton, I think using DMX software will be much easier to accomplish that 👍 but I believe that should be possible with automating the value specifically
Hi Scott! Can you control the DoreMIDI though Stagetraxx?
Yes, but that would definitely be a lot of midi haha. I have two new videos coming out in the next two weeks that will be “better” for that
@ Nice!🤟🏻
Great video! Thanks so much for putting this together @ScottUhlMusic ! Do you happen to know if I wanted to convert a MIDI signal to DMX signal to send to a Lightning Director so they can control the MIDI ran device using there DMX console, would the MTD-1024 by DoreMidi be the best way to go? Thank you so much for your time and help
Thanks! And this device is cool, but it’s definitely limited because it’s tough to do chases or anything like that with it. It’s better for loading scenes/presets/etc
Been working on a live show to control with a pedal… this will help because: MIDI GIVES ME A HEADACHE!
Nice compact way to remote trigger a few smart bars like your Chauvet even if MIDI gives me a headache :)
Yup! It works really well :)
Great video as always, I've been curious about controlling DMX via MIDI for a while, but I've put it off cos MIDI give me a headache, ugh.
Glad to help!
Thanks! And yeah it’s a great device. No idea about being isolated though. I haven’t really heard of that for usb powered devices
@@ScottUhlMusic I'm just learning about this and it makes sense to me that isolation should only be an issue when receiving a signal, and I do find a note about this in their manual on "MIDI IN", namely: "Optical Isolator", so I think/hope it's safe.
Questions:
As I do find it a little annoying to use a display and knob to setup everything, I wonder if there is a dedicated software for this, preferably on Mac?
And on that note, what does it do if you don't program anything? Ideal for me would be a default setting that the first note or CC would correspond to DMX 1 and so forth, but that's probably not the case right?
Great video...is it possible to use in conjunction with MIDI sent by a computer (from Logic for example)? or for the sake of sanity is better to have the lights controlled by a foot switch separated from the computer? I know MIDI always gives me a headache...
Thanks! And anything that sends midi will work 👍
MIDI gives me a headache but then so does too much beer 😂
Great video! I invested in the ODE MKIII by Entec and it's great and all, but it gives me a headache as much as MIDI gives me a headache. I would probably be better off with the device you showed off.
I need to check that one out too!
Hi Scott, Did you announce the winner of the Doremidi yet?
Yup, I did 👍 you can see it in my community tab
Hi Scott, thanks for the great videos👍👍. I’m using multi tracker, can it output midi via the lightning port (using cam kit) AT THE SAME TIME as audio from headphone Jack? TIA very much 🙏
You should be able to do that yes 👍
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks!
Hey Scott, i was wondering if this would be possible to do using the stage traxx 3 and widi master? I would love to be able to have a light show going along with my backing tracks and midi commands to my helix.
Yup, definitely!
Yeah, there is always some sort of tweaking that needs to happen lol
Awesome video. Do you need a midi controller to use this device? Or can you control your lights directly with a pc using something like Ableton?
Follow up, do you need a plugin to use this device with a PC?
You can use either 👍 Whatever you want to send midi to the device. Although if you have a computer, using lighting software might be easier
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks. yeah the makes sense. The reason I'm using Ableton is to sync the lights with music. So I'll have to map notes to dmx values using the MTD device.
MIDI gives me a headache
Great video!!
Thanks!
Very cool 😂😊
Thank you 🙏
MIDI gives me a headache
but its so damn handy!
Couldn’t agree more 💪
Scott! Will this device input midi through the usb cable? Planning on automating lights with midi through ableton. Thanks!
Hmm... good question, I actually don't know. I've just used it with the 5pin MIDI. I would reach out and ask, that's a good question! I don't know why I didn't think of that.
Hi Scott,
I'm Pablo and I'm speaking to you from Spain.
@@ScottUhlMusic So you have to have this device to convert the midi coming from Stage Traxx 3 to dmx which activates your lights, right?
Thanks
I'll look forward to the video
I have a bio sonification device, it translate the bioactivity of the plants in a midi note flow like a musicisn playng a polyphonic or monofonic keyboard ,is it possible to use this devices to pair the note flow wiht lights?
