I got a 8 inch Newtonian telescope because of the videos that you posted. The reason why I got into astronomy and astrophotography is because of you and your videos! Thank you for what you do and exited for your next video
I always appreciate the low-key, humble and grateful tone of your videos. This hobby can be intimidating and very expensive and your demeanor is very helpful in soothing any misgivings. ♥♥♥ About the mount, I look forward to acquiring it as part of the Celestron CGX 700 Maksutov-Cassegrain "Planet Killer" package. Can you comment on any specific polar alignment features the mount may have?
Hi, thx for the video. I have the cg5 and I think you should not put so much load on it. 3x5kg ctrweights is too much for the cg5. Regarding the CGX, does it have a polar finder, for the first rough alignment ?
1:38 I have a Celestron 102GT nexstar and the tighteners are on the inside of my tripod. Idk if its rare that they are on the inside for newer tripods from Celestron??? But I have heard great legends of this mount you got and I am pleased that you got it
My GCX does what it says on the tin...when it works. I am on my second major breakdown in two years, both during galaxy season. I bought the mount five years ago.
I just got a telescope for christmas and your reviews of stuff for astronomy are really helping me with it
Cool! If you don't mind, what's the name of the telescope?

Very nice mount, thanks for the review Damon
Happy New Year’s Eve I just use my telescope for the first time last night to look at the star sirus it was great
Don’t you prefer AM5 over these mounts with similar payload? Now we have 150i with higher payload than AM5.
Hey Damon, the positives sound great but are there any negatives or things you’re not too sure about? Love your videos!
It’s great watching your videos before going to bed.
Thanks for another awesome video!

I wouldn't count dedicated (proprietary) software as a Pro these days.
Why not a Skywatcher EQ6R, you pay 1k more for 11 lbs
Too heavy for elderly and feeble folks, like me. Impressive looking, though.
