Back in 2010 the vehicle was on display at the Petersen Automotive Museum. Behind the front seat is a hidden "prohibition" bar disguised with a walnut backing. The owner at the time had an entire extra set of the white unvulcanized tires due to the expense of making them.

It's been said that Arbuckle paid $25,000 for the car back them!

And a Dousenberg cost 5 grand less. Add another 20k, you could've got a mansion in beverly hills

Honestly, I’d want this car. That damned lying broad ruined his career.

More like: illegal abortion has complications and women's health shouldn't be criminalized so everyone gets proper treatment to prevent exactly what happened.

So sad that his career was just destroyed

Ultimately it was because of the issue of illegal abortion that caused the woman to die from complications.

Stan Laurel also owned a Pierce Arrow, but not until the early 1930's.

1M and the reserve was still not met! GTFO
It's not like the guy died in it or used it in films

yeah but it's the car of one of the most prolific silent comedic actors of the early 1910s and 1920s, and he was probably the first largest Hollywood scandal to ever happen to date, I'd say it's worth a mill

@@smelly_nut_hut2776 Plus it was 1 of car, custom made. Not a run of the mill factory car.
