      “Bruh” (got that from 13 year old), I was born in 1965 (eldest Gen X), I was born in the wrong age. Everything you are doing is what I love and want to do. It’s not too late. Maybe one day, I can also buy a house in Las Vegas. I’m semi retired and been moving my investments around. Picked up a lot from you.

    Its worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.

      People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyperinflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyperinflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.

    • @Daneilchirs
      @Daneilchirs 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

    A NICE VIDEO, EVERYONE NEEDS MORE THAN THEIR BASIC INCOME TO BE FINANCIALLY SECURED. THE BEST THING TO DO WITH YOUR MONEY IS TO INVEST IT BECAUSE MONEY LEFT IN THE BANK ALWAYS END UP BEEN USED ONE WAY OR THE OTHER WITH NO RETURNS. I USED TO BE A VICTIM OF SUCH, NOT ANYMORE. I INVESTED AND MAKE STEADY PROFITS.

    The profit potential of day trading is perhaps one of the most debated and misunderstood topics on Wall Street. But there are day traders who make a successful living despite-or perhaps because of-the risks.

    • @miaharper346
      @miaharper346 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Many professional money managers and financial advisors shy away from day trading. They argue that, in most cases, the reward does not justify the risk.

    • @sophiamiller2682
      @sophiamiller2682 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Conversely, those who do day trade insist there is profit to be made. Day trading profitably is possible, but the success rate is inherently lower. This is because of the complexity and necessary risk of day trading in conjunction with the related scams. Reason you should work with a reputable expert.

    • @ramonlopez9687
      @ramonlopez9687 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Day trading is not for everyone and involves significant risks. Moreover, it requires an in-depth understanding of how the markets work and various strategies for profiting in the short term. who would you endorse @Sophia

      Economists and financial practitioners alike argue that over long time periods, active trading strategies tend to underperform a more basic passive index strategy, especially after fees and taxes are taken into account.

    I realized that the secret to making a million is making better investment . I always tell myself you don't need that new Car or that vacation just yet and that mindset helps me make more money invest : ng . For example last year I invested 70k in blue chip stocks and crypt0 s ( with the help of my advisor of course ) and made about 380k , but guess what ? I put it back and traded with her again and now I'm rounding up close to a million . Delayed gratification always pays off.

    I have set aside over $300k start up capital to venture into the stock market, but the fear of loosing funds to the current market trends holds me back, what are the best strategy to reduce such risk? I have seen a lot of investors make millions from the stock market and at the same time I can tell its not as easy as it sounds as some investors have lost a lot too.

    • @aquamikey

      Best advice and quotes I’ve heard is to feed off the fear of others. The stock market is the only sale that people are afraid to buy in. Imagine going to a store that has a Black Friday sale and they’re selling Microsoft, apple, etc. and you see that there’s no one in the store. If you aren’t too confident into doing the financial research, some ETFs can mirror the SP500 like VOO and SPY so that you dont have to put all your eggs in one basket but you can have a piece of every top 500 company. Do some research on all the different types of investments and see which one works best for you. Identify what’s your risk level and look at it from a different angle.
      Cheers

      Tax loss harvesting is simply to sell stocks in which you are losing money to realize those paper loses so that you may offset your realized capital gains. If you don’t have any gains to offset then it doesn’t make sense to harvest your losses. 🙏

    • @The_Clutch44
      @The_Clutch44 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You have to wait 90 days before buying back in (different with crypto where you sell and buy back in right away), so tax loss Harvesting with those stocks is trying to time the market which kinda defeats the purpose of a mutual fund.

    • @himynamesgod2163
      @himynamesgod2163 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Most companies have settings for your settlement of trades. Usually the default is FIFO. You can alter it to Tax loss harvesting strategy. "this works only if you buy in increments it pins the best lots to tie to the sell for tax purposes to make it simple. So say you have 10 lots of all different costs and some short and some long. It would figure out which long position to sell off and at what cost. There can be a little more depth to it but its pretty straight forward. google the term it's interesting. I just change my lots during settlement to my liking if its worth the time and effort. In a lot of cases it wont matter unless you have been buying in to the same stock over the course of time and start selling it off

    Great list. The only one I just refuse to invest in (unless it's within one of my ETF's) is Facebook. I can't support a company who has such a detrimental impact on mental health, who tries to blur the line between platform and publisher, who censors its users, who doesn't show leadership and accountability, and the list goes on. It's just not a "good" company, for our society (IMO).

    I think the FAANG stocks are a pretty conservative play and you might want to find stocks that have more growth potential. The one FAANG stock that I think you want to own, and its not even a FAANG stock, is MSFT.

    Andrei, I would even expand this list out to include virtually ANY "consumer staples" company. You mentioned J&J, but also Proctor & Gamble, Kimberly Clark, and Colgate-Palmolive. I'd even throw in McDonalds w that Coke. These companies make money in all economies, good or bad, since we all have to buy their products no matter what...so I'd say they are all rock solid bets for decades to come.

    It is not always necessary to consider the long term. Investing is a tool for molding your current financial status as well as your future one. Do you intend to purchase a BMW next year? Would you want to go on a cruise? Wouldn't it be lovely to take a trip paid for by dividends?

    • @gagnecaron658
      @gagnecaron658 ปีที่แล้ว

      I made an investment and lost money. Perhaps I didn't have an aim. However, I was advised to seek the assistance of a broker. I never paid attention.

    • @harleycartley3138
      @harleycartley3138 ปีที่แล้ว

      The catch here is that you must first define your objectives. If you want to take a trip in a year, you must first calculate the cost of the vacation and then devise an investment plan to fulfill that objective. If you don't have a specific objective in mind, the money that should be invested will almost certainly be diverted to other, more essential priorities.

    • @stanleyfujiwara1394
      @stanleyfujiwara1394 ปีที่แล้ว

      Investing to attain financial objectives may be both exhilarating and difficult. When you combine the pressures of time limits with the fact that you aren't normally dealing with big quantities of critical money (as in retirement investing), you may be less risk-averse and more driven to learn about higher-yield options (growth stocks, shorting, etc.). Most importantly, choose a professional to help you.
