Railfanning DART/TRE 3/1/24 (Part 2/2)

Second part of Railfanning DART and TRE trains on March 1st, 2024, this time with Amtrak’s Texas Eagle and a couple freight trains in the mix.

I can’t wait to see the Charger locomotives on TRE. It’ll be sad to see the F59PHs and F59PHIs go, but they’ve served long enough.

I don’t understand why both TRE and Amtrak are not blowing their horns on the approach into the station but yet they give two blasts before departing

Wonder why the HEP was off on 131 at 2:35

It failed at Victory, they restarted the HEP after I finished recording 131 arriving at Union Station.

Any reason why 124 was facing east at 11:17

Something’s wrong with 1004, that’s the most likely reason. I also heard that 124 hasn’t been “running right” for awhile, I can’t confirm how accurate that is though.

Either one or both ditchlights on the 04 weren’t working, that’s why 124 is on the east end of the train.

Was it 121 or 126 that blew the horn at the station?
