Owen would like me to tell you that the fiddle he's playing and the mandolin that Eb is playing was build by John Lamar.

Had to look this one up after hearing it mentioned in a few others. Thanks for taking the time to fill us in on the terminology. 👍
Glad it was helpful!
Taters 🥔 nice, glad I could make it in the video, thanks! 😄

Hey, I saw Matthew and Mason! 😱😂
Great video! 👍🏼
Thanks! 😁
As an Idaho born man playing banjo I greatly appreciate this video about potatoes and banjos, my two loves together finally.
😁
I will be spending some time with this intro lick! Potatoes! Who knew?
Enjoy ☺️
You're the man ! Just picked up my first banjo last week, and am working on your beginner lessons. I'm fighting the urge to mess around too much, trying to stay on path! Thanks for being a great guy and putting these out there.
Thanks for letting me help you learn
Great video Jim. Thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks Jim!
Thanks for watching
Great video, Jim! Love the shirt! 😉
Thanks! 😀
Loved the collection of musicians, and the why behind them. I always used them to 'get in the groove'
Thanks
Only video that makes sense, and can also make you have an urge for a baked potato
Thanks 😊
Loved the video, thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was so confused at first with the potato’s, I watched this a half hour after it came out and had to come back today to try it, it works amazing with me and my friends to stay in a spot, i just had a session with my buddies, and they found it helpful too, thanks!!
Glad I could help!
Watching from Thunder Bay with friends. Oddly we were talking about potatoes on the drive up, but not this kind. Good video- new knowledge for me.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! I just got my first banjo today and I think that this lick would be a great starting place for me!
thanks a lot!
Be sure to check out my beginner series
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching 😊
Thank YOU
Welcome!
Pretty cool Jim 👍 thanks!
Thanks for watching!
@@JimPankey so I have learned Cripple Creek in you 10 part beginner series. I dont play it perfectly but working on it. When should I go on to the "next step"/song or should I stay at Cripple Creek until I have it perfect? Or i go on but keep practicing until things come together? Thanks for your teachings, your disposition makes it cool to learn.
You have to be happy with your current situation before you can move to the next…
Rosted Potatos I love and Banjo music.
😀
You are simply the best.✨
Thanks ☺️
Now I knows about the taters!! Thanks, Jim!
Glad I could help
I thouraly enjoyed this video! Never had encountered "potatoes" before!😂
…the more you know…
Would love to see you do a break down walk through of Red Haired Boy like Bill Keith did with a great sounding potatoes intro. Go for it Jim!

Add as many potatoes as you’d like.
Hey Jim, I have a little sister who really likes stephen foster tunes (camptown races, oh susanna, etc). I was wondering if you could do a bluegrass banjo lesson for one of those old tunes.
I've been looking for exactly this information for a long time; I had no idea it was called "potatoes!"
Did you know there was a racehorse named Potoooooooo? His name was pronounced "potatoes"- pot-eight-o's 😀
Great trivia!
Oh! Those are some HOT potatoes!
Thanks
You are the bees knees! Thank you from Ireland 🇮🇪 😃😃😃
Happy to help!
Potatoes. boil em, mash em, stick em in a stew.. or use them to warm up a tune
😊
You got here before me =(
Thankyouthankyou! I needed this! Carb-free potatoes!
Thank you for all the potatoes.
Any time!
Thanks, just learned a new use of potatoes 😊
My pleasure 😊
Thanks Mr Jim. Now I know

Hey Jim, thanks for another great lesson. With Saint Paddy’s day coming up, any chance you might post a lesson on “whiskey in the jar“?
I dunno, a song about whiskey might be risky. 😂
@@JimPankey 😂 well, there goes half of my Bluegrass repertoire
I'll be mashin them potatoes
😁
"Go get your banjo!"
Jim please put that on a shirt, mug or cap.
Hi Jim youve just made me hungry 😁
My work here is done. 😜
Interesting
I have my moments 😆
Hey it's the intro of Salt Creek 🙂
And tons of other fiddle tunes. 😄
@@JimPankey I'm just happy I can play at least one 😄
Um.. yes. I do want to leave a comment. And like. And subscribe. And turn on notifications. But not because you told me to. 🤣
Thanks 😊

Doesn’t everyone? 😆
