Tutorials like this are SO important for us beginners because these games inevitably don't let you salvage most of the things in the environment, and by the time you start giving up on finding things to salvage you start missing things semi-hidden or out of the way which you actually *can* get, but only if you watch tutorials like these. If you die from starvation at your bed. And have a backpack on with one item in it. Then you leave it on the floor so you create a marker to guide you home.

Urggh... I followed the trail of loot boxes away from the crash site, so totally missed the damn farm tutorial and freebies. Been wondering about on my own dying of thirst trying to battle hordes of haybots for any thing to eat. Dying far from the mechanic station I found. Survival needs a fair bit of polish and balance for solo play, I think...
Something I like to do to avoid all hits from haybots is combine back and left or right, usually right since their pitchfork is to your left, I'm here to learn the progression lol but thought I'd contribute a small addition

@@riku5939 i played for very long time, you have to make a cook bot in the mechanic station, you have to then craft a cook bot, look at the ingredients you need to craft a pizza sub. with that you can bring to pizza sub to a player who is dead, to revive them.
very fun game.. just bought 2 copies..playing COOP.... Could use a host or join function or a guide how to join others...(used steam now and choose play with a friend). works well

Why all of you scrap mechanic TH-camrs saying that big trees can't be destroyed with hammer??? Did any of you tried to hit that tree more times at one spot ?? I can crash them easily with just little more hits and I don't think my hammer is strongest than all others.... PS. Good video ;)
I watched another tutorial on this game, and the person said that if you place your farm plots in a 9x9 grid and then leave space, then do another in a 9x9 grid it'll stop the bots from attacking? havn't had a chance to test this out yet just started the game.
Me and my friend got the game completely new so we immediately travelled to the workshop and built our base out of a shack we have been playing until like day 100 and we have no idea what we’re really doing
is it possible to make a good defensive base and have everything in it? like the craft bot etc have it as your full port of call or do you need to travel to your craft bots?
i beleive you can build craft bots, refinery bots, etc within the wrench station area. once it is powered, you just g ahead and go to the computer and craft away.
I found this game really frustraing as it won't let me put out the fire on the roof, forced first person perspective so I always die to enemies. The lack of ways to get food so dying of starvation, the weird thing where unorthorised farming nurfing all of my shit super early on- none of this being explained at all I ended up restarting twice and just quitting because it's too annoying.
There's some drinks you can get (like there's some canned milk in the ship that's on fire, if you put out a fire in the back by the bedroom). Eating will also fill your water gauge, and it seems like some food fills it more.
I bought scrap the day survival dropped, soon as I created a survival map it crashed and would crash every time I simply clicked on survival...waited for emails from devs, browsed discussion boards for days, tried uninstalling/reinstalling, validating files, restarting, nothing worked...eventually after a couple days I went into the files and deleted the map I first created...long behold I was able to create a new one and I haven't had a crash since...hope this helps
I have literally been searching for irl hours and i have not found the workshop (the building with the wrench on top). Anyone have a litte tip for me plz?
Most of this stuff could be figured out over time by anyone, but publishers really should invest a little time into making a proper in-game tutorial when releasing a survival game, even in Early Access. Most items you pick up don't give an indication (E to pickup), so I didn't think they were interactive. I skipped them and went for the crates outside and completely skipped the ship my first time playing. The little guide for building (with no telling of how or where to craft items) and diagram for farming was really the laziest instruction giving I've ever encountered in a survival game, EA or not. I spent 2 hours running around the map trying to find a vehicle seat to loot, because I thought the crashed ship was useless beyond giving you a little explanation as to how you got where you are. Thank God for people who've played a while and gained some experience to pass down to us noobs. I'm just one person, but you've probably saved people tens of thousands of hours overall having to figure this stuff out on their own. It may just be a game video, but you're making a difference and increasing the entertainment and happiness of others. You're also responsible for increasing sales of the game, even if by a few, just by doing what the Developers did not. In my opinion, they owe you money.
its not very survival health regens dieing has no negative effect you just spawn at your bed and loot respawns in all the buildings so you dont have to worry about running out why did they call it survival
I feel like the survival mode needs a lot more work. There wasn't any direction for what the goal was and I could never find any good places for building a base.

Should be able to hold f on players. The survival mode should be an option in gane make sure you updated to 4.0

I'm really nervous about playing this game mode. I've never really played a survival game before. Dying in any game is stressful to me.

there is a weird sound bug for me when you go underwater. it's horrible and requires a game restart
Set your particle quality to high or above. That fixes it. No one know why, but it fixes it.

It will come to console eventually but at the moment it is pretty hard to run and needs to be optimised alot.
