YOUHA who helped in composing PTT and wrote the lyrics for WOW is an amazing solo artist and she composes her own songs. I'm sure you're gonna absolutely LOVE her. She was an YG trainee for 10 years and she has only a few songs, Island (her debut last year), Abittipsy and zzz (special song for her dog). Give her a chance and you won't regret it!
Jinsoul does the high note in the bridge, then Chuu follows and then Heejin does the "oh yeah yeah yeah" in the last chorus, Chuu is the one with the bright solid voice while the first two are more breathy and dark toned 💜💜💜
Don't think breathy is a good descriptor, especially for their parts in the "Wow" bridge. Those really weren't breathy at all. It depends on the style they're doing. But JinSoul and HeeJin generally have very clear voices. HeeJin's gets thinner as she goes higher, but I wouldn't call that breathy.
Choreo for "Wow" is everything!! Check it out orbits! Gowon eats up the stage. It was my favorite song from the album, and the choreo elevated it to S+++++ tier. So fun and bouncy :D :D

desi here. i think they used a jayanth flute and pitched it up for the intro of PTT. CORRECTION: it’s a bagpipe. some bastards from the north introduced them to us when they were stealing from us *chough* british/scottish *cough* and we use them a lot. along with accordions. they used them on the song here very beautifully, but in my personal experience they’re hella annoying because they’re meant to be played in a field to help make the notes echo/stretch over distance. but assholes in south asia use them to wake up entire villages when they have weddings. 😭😭😭😭 and it starts at like 6 am.
i think that traditional instrument is called a pungi...you hear it in alot of indian music and also used in snake charming. i could be wrong, but i think that's what it is

Idk about JYPE or Twice, but Cassiopeia and Ellen Berg have worked on quite a few SM songs and a few Red Velvet songs including Psycho so that might be why Be Honest sounds like an RV song… but yea Be Honest lowkey DOES sound like a Red Velvet or Twice song
