Gaza: al-Shifa hospital in ruins as Israeli forces withdraw

Palestinians gathered to inspect the damage to al-Shifa hospital in Gaza after Israeli forces withdrew from the area after a two-week operation.

Israel's military said the raid on what had been the territory’s biggest hospital before the war had been conducted 'while preventing harm to civilians, patients and medical teams'. The World Health Organization said 21 patients had died in al-Shifa in the past two weeks.
