Batista was not well liked in the Smackdown locker room. Eddie took him under his wing and made sure he was respected by the roster. I don’t think he was ever the same after that.

Batista probably only got to know Eddie for a short while. A few months after he was moved to SmackDown. And for him to be hit that hard and that emotionally over his death just goes to show the kind of man Eddie was. The kind of impact he had on people's lives and hearts.
RIP Eddie. We love and miss you.

I was 16 at the time and I’ll never forget when I saw the headlines on tv the night he died. I had no words I was just at a loss for words. I didn’t even wanna talk about it at school the next day. All I could think about was how? Why? And what his family must be going through. Only thing I remember about that day is after I got home and I was waiting for Raw to come on and to see the Tribute Show in Eddie’s honor. I couldn’t stop crying the whole night. But at the same time i enjoyed the show even though I didn’t really care who won cuz it was all about Eddie. It was beautiful to see heels and faces were able to put aside rivalry’s and what to not to show the fans how much Eddie was loved. To this very day I still can’t believe he’s gone. But I know he’s in a much better place with no pain or suffering. RIP EDDIE

As a Hispanic kid growing up then, I would watch WWE religiously when he was still around. It felt like for once WWE had done minority wrestlers right, took someone like Eddie seriously and his success soon followed. When he died I feel like whatever drive I had for watching wrestling went with him and well, I haven't watched since.

To this day. I still believe Chris Benoit's final push over the edge started with Eddie's passing. I vaguely remember hearing about a diary Benoit kept with letters to Eddie after he passed. I would like to know.if that's been confirmed a rumor or was it true.

It's true, Benoit kept a journal that Nancy bought for him, on Nancy's sister Sandra's recommendation

Seeing Benoit's reaction was...I don't even know how to best describe it. A guy presented as a fairly emotionless wrestling machine breaking down like that....well it was jarring to say the least.
Probably the only other reaction that hit me anywhere near as much was Jeff Jarrett in tears over Owen Hart's death. Jarrett had never been presented as likeable, empathic or anything similar and there he was, with the most human of reactions.

Had for him. I never got to meet him but I loved everything about him he truly was one of my favorites and I know he is watching from heaven and is proud of the direction wrestling is going. Eddie Guerrero need to be remembered as one of the greatest Wrestler that has ever stepped foot in the Wrestling ring! His last match against JBL, Referee supposed to stop the match and not asking questions if “Eddie, are you ok?” Dude that not entertaining 💔
