Aren't mixing the Blinder (Tu-22) and Backfire (Tu-22M) crew numbers? The Blinder did have 3 crew members but the Tu-22M has 4 crew members in a 2+2 arrangment. The Wikipedia page has a nice photograph of the back seaters cockpit.
You're absolutely right. The Tu-22 "Blinder" does indeed have a three-member crew, while the Tu-22M "Backfire" has a four-member crew in a 2+2 arrangement. I appreciate the heads-up. and stick an announcement correcting my mistake on the next video
As usual, superb information... Dragon is truly getting better; besides its "upgraded" kits (they truly are, not the way Tamiya understand "upgrade"...) now they'll offer diorama bases, which is a great idea, not new of course, but surely they will be up to today standards.

Been watching your kit announcements and finally subscribed! I find the M3 Stuart box art interesting, as until recently, there were no zebra roaming Nigeria or any other part of West Africa.

I not well informed on Russian aurcraft beyond the Mig-15 thru Mig-21, so im not sure how many crew members flew with TU22. Next WOW there are great many releases in this video, and Mini Art is definitely prolific this year. Really like their M3 stuart series and the 8 wheeled German Armored Cars, hope they do some early Armored cars. About Dragon battlefield diorama in a box. I think they would do better to release a series of battlefield base's as a product. I have a small collection of early Miniart buildings and bases, buildings are the vacum style. But fairly easy to work with, kits came with a number of asscessories for the building; door, widows, gutters, street lights. And number of kits came with a figure set, or a sheet of posters. As well as a plastic base. They're really hard to find now days, maybe molds were lost with the ongoing war or were abandoned when miniart moved to Poland. I have the French garage, north African house, and large german street scene. If dragon strating producing such products they might be on to something, filling a vacant niche in the business. Just my opinion.

Hello Jim, another truly informative update, I don't know how you get this incredible information on kits . I do praise the Internet for being able to watch your channel. I am coming to the conclusion that there are no manufacturers in the USA anymore. Fortunately there are two exceptional Hobby shops on line that have a good variety. However, based on the last few VIDEO SERIES I think you have completed my 2025 build list. I am completely infatuated with the Hansa Brandenburg C.1 kits although I'm not familiar with the company, I can only imagine the cost of acquiring two of them. The next kit of course is Mitches Military Models cut away of B- 17 gunners, My skill level for a lot of Mitches kits needs some experimenting as I think a lot of his products need to be painted with oils. The C.1's actually might be best shown built naturally like a prototype . I'm afraid to check out Lukgraph as I might do a 180 degree turn on current model builds Once a again, thanks for a another look at the modeling universe. But having bought and build the Oeffag D.III, I can honoustly say I was dissapointed. It came with a broken engine (they did replace it with a new one), bad fitting elevators and massive amounts of print wobble.

I just received my MiniArt 234/2 Luchs turret Saturday. Kit had a ruff trip from Poland to USA. Kit is fine, box has seen better days.
That would really annoy me - at least the kit is ok

Pretty sure there are 4 crew members in the Tu-22m2 and m3 Backfire variants . The older Tu-22 Blinder had 3.
