I only glance at Trumpeter’s annual announcements, same with Hobby Boss’ and I ❤️ Kit’s. Only when something of theirs shows up on the preorder lists of my local model shops, do I decide if I want it. In the meantime, I have my stash AND actual releases from ICM, Airfix, Border, Meng and Takom (not in any particular order here) to keep me occupied. I like these releases-videos of yours Alex, they give me a quick peek into what’s been announced by whom; I don’t buy kit catalogues for obvious reasons, especially the “what if” ones by Trumpeter, HB and I❤️K. 😊
Wow! I didn’t realise that Trumpeter were thinking about a 1/32 S-3 Viking. I for one would buy one. Anyway if it takes as long as the A-6 Intruder to appear I will be about 100 years old.
The L France fire engine looks particularly nice. Nothing else particularly tempts me - I've just completed a scratch built 1909 Wright Military Flyer, so you can see why that is!
The 1/16 Pz.1 variants sound cool! The mark 1 has been done by Takom before, but it's the quirky stuff that is different here. If they get delivered, of course
Tend to agree with you Alex on both, disappointing delays and treating all 3 as 1 company. Keep hearing the warnings about Trumpeter, something is always wrong (inaccurate) but usually decent kits. Prolific company with many times the better or only kit in a given scale of a subject. Their ships are usually outstanding if not pricey, and still have a flaw or three, LoL. Well done splitting them up this time. Think i did enjoy it more this way, even though lots of "last years leftovers". 👍☕🐢
I am looking forward to a decent FW 190 D9 Langnasen Dora in 1:32 scale. I have the very old Hasegawa one and aftermarket parts to go with it but a new tool of that beauty would have been nice.
Hmm. The Sd.Kfz 7 “Artillery Tractor” is actually the V2 launch control vehicle, if the picture is anything to go by. And I think that the main reason that Trumpeter announce so many kits without actually releasing them is mostly as a spoiler tactic to dissuade other manufacturers from releasing those same subjects.
Panzerjager in 1/16 wow wa we wa ... i really like the idea of a big version.. something about fitting a big gun ontop of a hull appeals to me.. i did stick a 88 flak on a airfix cromwell after all 😂 . Looks badass dont judge😂
I do fancy the Viking in 1/32,though she’ll be a big bird..As I commented before I like Hobbyboss/Trumpeter,though I❤️kit part of the family I find bewildering..I just can’t see why I❤️kit range isn’t split between Hobbyboss and Trumpeter, but there must be a reason..
I grew up with Tamiya, Dragon and Italeri kits. Back then I have dreamed of many of the releases that are announced every year nowadays. Many were only available as expensive resin kits. Strangely this plethora of new kits has completely turned me off military modelling. Wonder why that happened. Maybe because it's just overwhelming. It also get the impression that many of these new kits are only bought but never built because you always see the same (German) topics built over and over again.
Great from the ones I built... depending on year of release... there earlier kits and less detailed but mostly high quality in fitting dept.. May need aftermarket if details bother you... but new kits are great
I have 1 1/16 scale tank... If someone came out with a Kv of 34 with an early turret ( I think Trumpeter's choice was the least interesting. ) I might buy one. There is an over kill of US and German kits in this scale... but each to his own. I don't know how popular support vehicles are... but if they are on a limited release..maybe they will sell.
Hi Alex... you mentioned in the video a difference in Eastern and Western mindset, and that set me thinking - me thinking is never a good idea *lol* Is the difference perhaps not cultural but political? For example a Chinese manufacturer may be used to the totalitarian regime attitude 'You get what we tell you when we want to' and their business model reflects that. Conversely a more democratic regime is used to giving the electorate what /they/ want, and companies operating in such a regime have the same attitude. On that basis I think it would be interesting to compare say a Taiwanese manufacturer with a Chinese one and a Russian one with any other in a Western democratic country say British, German, American etc.
I’ll believe it when I see it. Trumpeter’s habit of announcing releases then not releasing them is legendary. I agree it’s disappointing and I’ve lost faith in them as a brand. I’m pretty sure I’ve been waiting 4 years for the UH-1B release now. They may have announced it last year buts it’s been that long in the making and it’s a rebranded unreleased kit from Kitty Hawk when Trumpeter bought their molds and digital product.
I don't really pay attention to the catalogs these days. These 3 companies make you wait a few years and eventually....well . Not really a fan of this type of marke .Been waiting for the Oliphant to show up for years around here .Haven't seen it yet . I don't think it was ever released to be honest .
In my excitement, I bought enough sets of PE brass pom-poms to populate the model of USS Baltimore at 1:350, about six years ago. The excitement level has dropped away simce then...
If Trumpeter was serious about stiffling competion they should consider casting fragile or moving parts in metal, such as propellers, guns and locking/unlocking retractable landing gear.
promise promise but little in 1/700 scale ships, I hope my fears about this scale going away is unfounded. it seem all miniature and scale model companies have bin infected with the I must over hype everything it is a shame.
You can´t seriously expect customers to "stop buying Chinese" unless, and until, none-China-made products are of much better quality, much cheaper, or even just available on the market in the first place. Like a business who insists only to market a single low-quality product in their store, while at the same time demands that you should not shop in other stores. That´s ridiculous.
@@blarrrggg1): Communism doesn´t exist, and 2): Chinese toys (NewRay, etc.), Chinese clothes manufacturers (Shein, etc.) and Chinese scale model products are second to none. As long as you have the absurd fashion cults and the lemming effects of the western world´s manufacturers and corporations where everybody makes the same, you cannot expect customers not to look for alternatives. So tell me: If you are looking for a very detailed die cast 1/32 scale Willy´s Jeep, what is actually the alternative to NewRay´s $10 model?

1/48 Fairy Battle ... adding that one to my Christmas list!
I'm excited for the 16th Hummel and Nashorn. About time they did new kits based on the panzer 4
Whatever they do, thank you so much for the review ! 👍

Trumpeter catalogue vs actual releases in that year.
Dreams vs reality
What do you make of the ZY brand releases, and how do you think Trumpeter's announcements compare to the other brands? Let me know below!

Well it is a win win. If you are a rivert counter, huge amount of fun 'fixing' the kits. If you just love building the kits as is. Equally a blast

All those product announcements sure helps keep competitors at bay!! For instance, just ask Academy in the ship model world!!
I'd love to see a 1/350 USS West Virginia with cage masts and 1/32 Kate and Val.
It surprises me they haven't tried to get the 1/350 Gneisenau out sooner as it's not been done in that scale before.
i so look forward to the 1/32 S-3 Viking.
That one could be interesting. I wont be surprised if it needs a whack of aftermarket.
I really do enjoy this type of video and this channel produces excellent videos, thank you, 👍👍👍.
So nice of you
@@MannsModelMoments credit where credit is due. Thank you for your reply, all the very best, 👍
I've never built ship models but I'm tempted by Titanic's sister ships.

I’ve been waiting for a 1/350 Pittsburgh and Rodney for ages.
Looking forward to the 1/72 Mig -19.. ..if they actualy release it
The 1/72 MiG-19 is a welcome addition.

Lots of interesting subjects, what are trumpeter models like to be build

How much time have you got?
Definitely hope they do the Mig-19.
I'm surprised there aren't more of those on the market.
Certainly some items that would tempt me...if they are released.
I hope they release the 1/200th fletcher soon. I am really looking forward to that.
Actually any of those destroyers in 1/200 would be exciting builds.
When are the 1/350 HMS Nelson and Rodney trumpeter has Been showing them for the last 4 or more years????
Are they ever going to produce the 1/720 USS Enterprise 70’s version? Disappointed.
Thanks for the video.

Dragon used to do the same thing back in the 90s. They announced a JUMBO, that never came to be.
China is China, good luck trying to figure them out.
Mmm, An Iron Dome on the HEMTT!
Looks like its the dragon nelSon then...
また、Sタンクみたいな予想の斜め上を行くキットを出して欲しい。
期待してます!
Let's hope so!

Sd.Kfz.8 prime mover in 1:72? FINALLY!!!🙏🙏
The Mig-19 is often overooked in favour of the 15,17 and 21....doesn't geet near enough love.

very cool i cant wait to see more cool china models afther i understand we ar sit on a big liye at they tell us about china i know they ar very cool.

Круто
А я даже ни одной модели от трубача не собрал
Maybe this is the year?
Looks like i will have nothing to buy this year so far.
Cheap year best get stuck into the stash
Sure will.
