Thanks for this type of video. We, the public, don't often get the privilege to see the trip through your eyes. Good stuff. More of this please. It's not like Japanese passenger trains, where the passengers can see through the drivers cabin, out the front of the train.
Brings back memories when I was based at Wodonga Depot in early 70's. I noticed that Sunshine now doesn't have a SG passenger platform and no crossing loop although that's been replaced by one at Tottenham.
Goodday Adam, Just started the afternoon shift, just cruising up Footscray Rd from Costco to DPW @ 1530 this arvo. Couldn't help but notice the same lash up is ready to highball out of Emerald Grain into the grey skies of Melbourne. Looks awesome from the bridge. Safe travels. Cheers Louis 👍
Haha, so relaxing seeing the scenery and reading the text and boom the video was over 😁 I wish more people knew how important these machines are to the existence of the human race.
Goodday Adam, I am about to pull out of DPW going back to the yard in Port Melbourne. Any chance you can flick on the headlights. It would look awesome with the dark clouds in the background. Cheers Louis 👍
Hi Rupert. It is a shared trail that follows the Maribyrnong River from Brimbank Park to Footscray and areas south. I always hoped to see a train cross that viaduct while riding through, but had not even expected to see the view from the top! Good stuff. ✌
Fantastic, what was thr speed through Sunshine. Anyway I saw your combo arrive this morning at Emerald Grain about 8 am, looked awesome with 4 streamliners & 1 49 class. Cheers Louis 👍

🚂🚂👍thanks for the awesome ride.
Awesome . . .
I'd like to see some explanation of "Transition" it seems to come up a lot in train vids.
It's similar to a gear change, from series to parallel. Or 3 groups of 2 motors to 2 groups of 3 in order to maintain Max torque to the rails.
@@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER A video showing the ammeter during transition might be beneficial? Anyway great channel, I enjoy your EMD videos!
@@trainfixer1981 I'll try do that yeah!
Dreamy!

@@AUSSIETRAINDRIVER Thanks Adam, presume you didn't use "Cinematic"?
@@dieseldavetrains8988 yes occasionally I do yes.
Good treen
Can you smuggle passengers for a ride would be cool
It's been done, but not always practical considering 80% of our running is at night
You should upload the audio to a SoundCloud or something
Defs could do.
Nice video mate i never knew CLP12 did passenger duties was that the same with alot of the CLP's back then?
Short story - the CLF is a freight loco.
The CLP was the same other than a Generator in the long end of the engine room. See my Other CLP12 vid.
Are you guys going into another lockdown out there over that delta variant?
No not in some states
How old would she be. The old girls sound great

@@SheltonDCruz quite a beast. And are they still used regularly. They look like a real work horse
@@troyfitzmaurice6834 yes there are still a few that are running - we had a bumper harvest last summer so they are required as extra motive power
Hey Adam great camera angles on this one too! The forward facing shot from the roof really captured it👍👍Stay safe
👍
On deciding to paint it all white they should also have committed to regularly cleaning it. Disappointing to see it so filthy.
Pour on the "coal" !
