    Hello everybody, It's known that Sorin is the best teacher ever. You taught us a lot. Your are a real teacher. I love your long videos. Don't just ignore your long videos, because you explains everything clearly. Keep it up as usual and Thanks a lot!
    Lastly, I want to say it that: it's known that about 99% of your videos are on laptop repairing. But, I want to learn desktop motherboard repair and I start searching on the TH-cam but I failed to get a real teacher like you who explains everything from scratch. So, if you don't mind please add desktop motherboard repair course in your videos. Again thanks a lot!
    From Ethiopia, Africa!

    Hi Sorin, one question, in this channel you’ll upload the storter version of the videos (10 mins long), but are you still uploading the long ones of the same repairs on the old channel? In this way you would give the chance to choose among the short and complete videos about the same repair. Thanks

    That was awesome! I was thinking to myself, all the way through, it's probably either the screen is faulty or it is the cable that's faulty, but when you reprogrammed the BIOS and it restarted a couple of times, I was shocked to see the screen come on! Shocked at myself I mean, because I didn't believe it could be the BIOS that was stopping the screen coming on!!!! :D

    I had a Lenovo laptop with bad onboard RAM and I did disable it in the BIOS but the laptop came back about a month later because the customer downloaded a BIOS update thru windows update.
    After that I found the straps for that model in a schematic and disabled the onboard RAM on a hardware level. After that no more problems and you can update the BIOS all you want :)

    What about the serial number after flashing? Do you just flash a clean bios from Asus website. I thought most laptops need to have an embedded serial number. Otherwise it is not recognized by the manufacturer and will give constant messages and faults

    Sorin, I love your videos but this new 10 minute format is just not working for me 😢 I love listening to your discussion of a fault and methodical approach to the repair. The new 10 minute format seems rushed and heavily edited, which is understandable when you have only 10 minutes to deliver the diagnosis and repair. Please consider going back to the full length videos that many of us know and love. You are doing great work and I love to watch your repairs 👍👍

    Hi Sorin, hope you're well. Long time fan here. I love your videos any way you present them. But in this one I would suspect the screen first. You have not even mentioned that as a possibility. Did you rule that out off camera and not include the realization to keep within the 10min?

    Who and how cooked the BIOS ? I suppose you first took a BIOS dump and then you just found another BIOS dump from the same model but you had to replace the keys/serials with those from the original one before you write it back. That's the most important part of the repair process which is not even mentioned here.

    • @10minlaptoprepairs
      @10minlaptoprepairs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Make old channel subscribers / members only - your money will return. Let non-payers see 10 minute short videos. That's my suggestion. I gladly pay for good information and I bet thousands of others will gladly pay to subscribe for longer content. as well. Best solution I believe.

    The 10-minute videos are very short and cannot explain the diagnosis and repair properly.
    There is no trial and error part and no investigation logic.
    I like your way of thinking and seeing the logic behind solving the problem.
    Unfortunately, a lot of information is lost and he is no longer the "old" Sorin.
    Sorry but that's my opinion as someone who has been following the channel for years😶

    Hello Sorin, I have similar problem and I don't know how to fix it. My Asus X540U starts normally but with no picture on screen. When I connect it via HDMI it shows picture on external monitor and boots into Windows normally.
    I tried replacing Screen with spare one I had lying around but was unsuccessful. Flat cable also looks good (I tried moving it around to see if the picture or just brightness will show up).
    I don't think the ram is the problem since it's booting into Windows normally.
    Any advice would be much appreciated because I don't have money to take it to the local repair shop and also here in Serbia there aren't many people who are willing to thinker with such problems with electronics.
    Thank you in advance

      There is a FUSE smd similar to capacitors but in black or green color near the screen connector on motherboard side marked F or 0 on it.check by multimeter for continuity(beeping)
      or search sorin's videos "laptop turns on but no picture"

    • @stellataylor9326
      @stellataylor9326 ปีที่แล้ว

      My advice is also to check for that fuse or do a visual inspection if anything is blowed up on the motherboard. I had an Acer Nitro 5 recently and I found a blowed power switch on the motherboard side, since it was changed the laptop is working fine. Symptoms were the same, was booting in Windows but screen was black. Worth a try, but be sure to unplug the charger and battery before touching the board!

    Sorin, In my desktop I have no picture (the screen isn't even detected "nor via VGA nor HDMI)
    And nor the key bord lock works or anything plugged to USB ports is on (example: mouse have ni light)
    I tried removing everything and then turned on the PC, but I had the same result
    What can be the problem please ?
    (Can be a BIOS or CPU ?)

    • @Aneesh.Asokan

      First check if your SMPS cpu power connector have 12 volts plus. Then try with another known as working ram module. Then remove BIOS battery & short the connectors, replace the battery & try again. If still no display, definitely it's your mother board!
