"WE FIXED IT! 😃" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 As someone who (still)don't have much knowledge on this, I was extremely confused with how this was "fixed" until the end of the video xD
Hi, Sorin. Great video as always. :) I have in the past found a few laptop boards with no capacitors around the EC chip. How would you test EC chips like that? Would you just go to the closest caps on the board connected with the EC chip even if they are quite far away?
Test for acceptable voltage drop using diode mode with MM on non ground pins of the EC chip, or further away connected capacitors. Without a proper data sheet not much more than that can be done.
Inglés Very good. The 5v. Do you apply them in VBUS? I'm not sure what you've done. Thank you. P.S. The magic of amps never fails with a capacitor 😀 edit: Yes, you apply 5v on Pad J9. You are definitely my hero. By the way, does this apply to all USB-C?
Proper fix by burning out the short :)))
Congratulations one of the best videos on the charging port replacement.
WE FIXED! And so, black magic was used to sort this out. Great video!
