69 years old now, I first played this march as a euphomum player,at age 12, and continued up to about the age of 26. So, so good to hear the march as originally written, and as I remember it. Thank you for this upload, and thank you to the musicians also. Even if it is Plymouth NH, instead of Plymouth, England. It proves even Americans can get something right. (Yes, that is a joke. Don't put a contract out on me).
I played bass clarinet on this song over 30 years ago! It has always been my favorite song ❤❤! I can still remember my part! I was “playing “ it in my head as I listened to this video.
Not only the movie is superbly made. The theme song March is simply phenomenon. Thanks for the effort and keep up with the good work. From hker worldwide
Many years ago i was in army officers training ROTC in Fort Lewis, Washington. We were coming towards the latter part of a 10 mile march after a 4 day field training exercise. We were all bone tired and weary. Then somone started whistling Colonel Bogys March. Then another one joined in the whistling. Soon a number of people were whistling. We got into step, heads high, backs straight, looking proud and smart. Amazing what a song can do.
When I was about 6 or 7 years old, the preparatory, primary and high school of the area had an annual concert and each school would have a performance or two. I was in the prep school, so I sang in the choir, the primary schools choir sang and the high school choir and wind band performed as well as a few other ensembles. I remember the band playing this piece but I didn't know what the name was. And now after all these years I have found it.
Exactly same for me!! Heard it in school when I was about 7 or 8 years old!! Have been desperately trying to identify and locate this piece! I thought it was something from the “American Marching Band”. Finally, I was able to locate it by “humming the tune in a piece of software known as SOUNDHOUND” I was surprised how it was able to discover it!!!
Great march.Nawanagar state band used to play this March so often in 1940s. I am aware of that by my grand father as he was sub-par band master of that band.
Listened to a few other orchestras play this song before Berklee College of Music, theirs is faster and livlier and includes many instruments with a nice rich base that deepends and widens the music. I played this several times, it's very nice, I can hear all the parts. Young people have probably never heard it or experienced the resonance of orchestral instruments.
Actually, it goes: 🎵"Hitler...has only got one ball! Goering...has two, but very small! Himmler...has something sim'lar! But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all! Rommel...has three or four I guess! No one's... quite sure 'bout Rudolf Hess! Schmeling...is always yelling! But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all!"🎵
My uncle's favorite. He passed away today morning. May his soul rest in peace 🙏
So sorry for your loss.
😹🙏
Don’t know how many times I played this March in high school! One of my absolute favorites! Love the baritone countermelody.

Thank you so much!
What if you played again on euphonium? There are many community bands around and you would have a blast!
My intermediate band is playing this song and I’m bass clarinet and I have to say this Is a great and fun song to do with friends.

This is music at it's finest. Nothing can match the Big Bands.
My heart and soul will be American forever!
Desfilei em 1965 ao som dessa belíssima marcha. Saudades ❤

I love Colonel Bogey. It was our school assembly music.

Nicely played, it is more than 50 years since I used to play this with our Band in Switzerland!
Thank you!
Espetacular, arranjo extraordinário. 🎵👍🏼👏🏼♥️
Cool brass ensemble, the white bandana saxophonist is so cute !!!
Hermosa.... te lleva a recordar la película, puente sobre río kway
This used to be our school everyday match past number here in Mysore India, way back in 1975
Nicely done.
Great song...
Wonderfully done!

Le soleil brille nous en avons besoin
Quality 👍🏻
I know it's been a while since I was in a band playing the sousa phone but I've never seen a left handed tuba.
My favourite too
I could barely hear the snare drum but in other words great song
ESPETACULO !
"Hitler, has only ball, Goebbel's has no balls at all....." Words sung to this tune by British soldiehe rs.
Maggots, i love them dont you
y'all know the english text? "Goebbels has only got one ball..."
Actually, it goes:
🎵"Hitler...has only got one ball!
Goering...has two, but very small!

But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all!"🎵
It's actually "Hitler has only got one ball, Goebbels has two - but very small!"
Please post the whole song . Hitler etc .
Big H has only got 1️⃣🏀
Not really that well played -intonation suspect, scratchy. Listen to a good English or New Zealand brass band to hear it played properly
あまり上手くないって感じるんだけど。
An upright bass? In a band? Blasphemy!!
A beautiful instrument to have in a concert band. The Air Force band also includes cellos from time to time!
The US Army Band features one:

Tempo too fast
Your band might just play it too slow bcuz this is the original tempo. Just slow the video down
