This reminds me of my PL-540 project. I am wondering if it was a good buy. Needs a dustcover (which I have), needs new feet, most likely needs a new oscillator board. I found a used board on ebay (not cheap) and it is on its way. I just hope it fixes things. It will all be worth it if it works right.

Sounds like my Sony PS-X75 project...hopefully the new board takes care of it. In my case the new board was a bust...
If the germanium transistors are working fine, should they be replaced with the diodes anyways?
