After 2014, Indian media has changed its job from journalism to entertainment and acting as a BJP spokesperson. Its job is to hold the government accountable, but instead it holds the opposition and common people accountable.

I am on this platform as I live in the west and I don't have much choice and we here in the west are a bunch of hypocrites when it comes to the free press. India is one place where there used to be good discussions and debates onTV but sadly it is becoming like the silly partisan stuff shown daily on the mainstream media in US/UK. India is the place that overthrew colonialism and gained its freedom so lets hold that freedom dear for everyone. India can show the way but it needs a free press. Republic TV and Times Now channels were the main reasons that made me to disconnect all the news channels from my TataSky TV pack in 2015. I watched NDTV till 2023. Now my only source of news is the independent channels in TH-cam.
