    Did you save the mixture for a second bath? Also how long after the first bath did it take for the fungus to go away?

    He is fun to listen to talking to the dog. Very gentle guy and hopefully this treatment works. One site said repeat every five days for about three weeks. My dog has had skin problems that I have spent so much for vets who do not give a diagnosis until recently but the treatment with pads Hexaclor K wipes makes the areas so red and irritated looking it seems to hurt. And has not improved. He also is getting oral Fluconazole 1% twice a day and Amoxicillin 100 mg twice a day. Does not seem to be improving it and will do the Sulfur Dip which vet suggested using, but the bottle didn't say for fungal treatment. He has had this for more than two years and even at U of Fl Vet Clinic, head of dermatology used him to take into classroom without my knowledge or permission, and never gave a diagnosis or treatment. Seems if they cure it then they lose a paying customer. Spent well over 1200 dollars without any diagnosis, "dry skin", and cannot understand the problem. Hope this will work.

    So, lime & sulfer is supposed to be the most effective treatment. Then why, my vet fools with or skirts around with other ineffective meds? Answer: he is an idiot who really doesn't care about animals, but the money that he could make.

      One vet told me my dog needed immune suppression therapy. I hope they get what they deserve a slow painful death for hurting animals.

    ugh. about to do this. Came to house sit a friends house who has 2 cats and apparently they have ringworms because my dog is now infested with ringworms. Those cats went into a room with food water and liter. lll go in there every other day to feed them and clean their litter but they are staying in there while my dog and I quarantine in the front until my dog is better. Im not happy about this at all. Now I cant go home for a while but luckily hes gonna be gone atleast 2 months to 4 months.

    Could you post an after video, is his coat in great condition now? If no bath solution could you add ointment with a oatmeal bath?

    Did you use half because he is a puppy? I have a 5-month pug and I got 4 oz of Limeplus Dip. Do you think I should only use half?

    Maybe a silly question, was your wife mad about you using that pretty towel instead of an old raggedy one?

  • @myfoodmychoice1

    You are supposed to let it dry on the animal and not rinse it off. And not get it in their eyes or yours.

    • @Glock274Jimmy
      @Glock274Jimmy  7 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I didn't rinse him off, only used a towel since I didn't want it dripping all over the house. Also, it didn't get in the eyes and was careful not to get it in the eyes. The way I did it worked perfect! Fungus gone!

  • @guamandolores
    @guamandolores 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    You're not supposed to let the dog lick the sulfur! That's extremely toxic!

    • @Glock274Jimmy
      @Glock274Jimmy  8 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      I don't "let" him lick it. He is just a rebel that way. Turns out it wasn't because he didn't get sick. It's diluted in water so much that it is not "extremely toxic". If that was the case, he would have gotten sick. If you notice, once he got a tiny bit on his tongue, he didn't want more... I guess it didn't taste very good. I imagine breathing air may be equally 'toxic'... Having said that, for someone else doing this, if they are concerned about the 'risk' and want to muzzle the dog while doing this - go for it! (but my Vet doesn't do that either)

      I was told the sulfer was not toxic it was actually good for them and they love the taste! The lime might be a different story....thank you for living your animals and giving them a god home

      On my Lime Sulfur Dip bottle under Directions: "Wear gloves and safety glasses... ...Do not rinse or blow dry the animal... ...Do not allow animal to ingest and ensure it does not enter body cavities. Apply a protective collar until dry to prevent ingestion". Under Caution: "Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. May cause skin irritation. If eye contact or skin irritation develops, rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes, stop treatment and contact your veterinarian immediately. If ingestion occurs, rinse mouth with clean water and offer large amounts of milk. egg whites or water. Do not induce vomiting".

      @@Glock274Jimmy I was quite nervous to start using it on my dogs with cheyletiella mites because of the warnings on the bottle and look at videos to see how others do it before doing it myself. I'm not that nervous now but will of course follow the instructions on the bottle mentioned in the other comment i placed here and make sure they do not ingest it :)

    I just have to say that I became so alarmed and horrified by the blow drying because a lot of good blow dryers run hot and professional stylists always monitor the temp by always having a pinky at the very least under the air flow (professional dryers really are that hot and mine looks similar to yours and it has a ferrari motor so it could be a weapon its so hot) and it seemed like the dryer was up way too close. I cant even turn the video back on to see the end. Very stressful and please wrap the puppy in a dry towel next time?
