  • How do you know if your pet really has ringworm? Sometimes different skin issues can form a "ring" looking spot, and that can make it hard to identify ringworm. In this Pet Care Pro show, we're talking about ringworm and its imposters. Shop pet skin health products at www.revivalanimal.com

    Unfortunately my puppy got ringworm while still at her breeder's home. The whole litter got it. We just got her a couple days ago. She's been on medication for almost 3 weeks and it is clearing up. But I'm using ointment, sulfur dip and anti-fungal shampoo on her...
    The pup has soooo many spots. It's crazy. The breeder didn't take care of it early, so it spread like crazy...

    Hi! My dog just recently got, what I'm pretty sure is ringworm, he has red scabs and dots all over his but, and one on his ear and another one on his chin. We're going to the vet to get treatment for him, but I'm not sure it'll be effective quick enough, it's a liquid that disinfects, and we clean his dots 3 times a day, do you know how long it will take to heal? Can we not touch him at all? Can we do anything else or add any product to speed up the healing process? Thank you so much!

      Good morning Waddles, I would recommend to wait for a diagnosis from your vet to know for sure what needs to be treated. We'll be happy to make recommendations as soon as you have a diagnosis. Sheryl at Revival.

    How can I find out what kind of "skin issue" my baby has? She is a 3lb. Morkie (3/4 Yorkie & 1/4 Maltese) She has lost her beautiful white hair on the end half of her tiny little body except the end of her tail (the first 1/2 of her hair on her tail fell off too!) all within a month to a month & 1/2. The only area that actually looks to be "dry & itchy" is her lower back exactly where she has a cream colored spot (it's a circle). She's also allergic to fleas. Just finished her 2nd round of antibiotics! & just found a flea medicine that seems to work, Simparica (previously tried 4 others that didn't work) however fleas still have to bite her in order to die! 😕 My poor baby! My Vet prescribed her a $25 antifungal shampoo & said to bathe her twice a week (& said "given her size, that bottle should last you a year") Ugh! I DON'T want to HAVE to give my baby a bath twice a week indefinitely! I want whatever it is GONE! & Her beautiful hair to grow back! 😭 She is only comfortable ONE time, RIGHT AFTER I bathe her, and then the next day, right back to scratching constantly!!
    Someone PLEASE HELP!! 😭
    Can you please email me? With the subject line:
    Morkie Skin issue
    Zommee@yahoo.com
    Please & thank you so much, I would appreciate any & all help!! 🙏🏻❤️😊

    I bought lime sulfur for my dog who has had scaley, crusty skin and hair loss. She has some scabbing so I wanted to know if I'm supposed to scrub off the scabs so they fall off, or if I just continue gently dabbing her with the sulfur dip?

    • @RevivalAnimal
      @RevivalAnimal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good morning Ashley, We recommend to shampoo your dog before rinsing with the Lime Sulfur dip. Shampooing will soften any scales so the medication will work better. Dilute 4 oz. of Lime Sulfur Dip in one gallon of water and mix well. Use gloves when applying to the animal's skin. Apply the diluted Lime Sulfur dip with a sponge directly over the affected areas on the pet and massage into the skin. Repeat in 5 to 7 day intervals. Allow the product to air dry and do not rinse. So my dog got into an accident a while ago. She was tied and some1 trew strip of steel cable near her. She got tangled in it, hurt herself. Managed to get out of it, got out of her leash and ran to my work. After whole stress -> medication -> stress -> medication deal she had some spots on her left. Spots where she got hurt. in few of those hair didint grow back for a while. So I didint really cared to much. I mean she got hurt, hair isint my priority. One of those spots a year later started popping up. I popped it tooday. Long thin white worm was inside of it. She never seem like she felt any discomfort abaut it or anything. Now I'm waiting for a morning to go to the vet abaut this jack-ass that was inside of her.

      Glutenfree Goddess, I'm sorry, you're having difficulty. I would recommend to call your vets office and ask for your vet to call you, or to seek help at a local emergency clinic. I'm sorry the only over the counter test kits are for allergies, they don't determine any other causes. Our vet on staff, Dr. Greer, is only able to order tests for her patients she sees at her clinic. Sheryl at Revival

    How do you make sure your yard is parasite free. And how do you dip a cat 11 yes. old that never has been dipped are bathed before.

    • @RevivalAnimal
      @RevivalAnimal  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good morning Halie Fuesting, Unfortunately, it's nearly impossible to rid your yard of parasites. It very difficult to disinfect dirt because you can only go as far as water can penetrate. Keeping feces clean up and using the Wysiwash system once a week on your hard will help a great deal> here's the link for you to look>www.revivalanimal.com/product/wysiwash?sku=15150-208. For cats, it works best if you wrap them in a towel to prevent you from getting scratched up and work on parts of the body at time using a warm wet cloth to saturate the fur. Leaving the cat in a cage and using a shower nozzel to bath is also helpful. Just be sure to not use the full force but a gentle stream of water. Some companies also make pet shower heads. I think my cat has ringworm because his stomach is full of red circular bumps, but they’re not crusty. They’re just scabs and it’s on his neck and head as well. The only red spots are on his belly. I believe he’s having an allergic reaction, but it could also be dermatitis. I will try to attach photos. He has no hair loss and no one in my house is showing signs of ringworm. Could it be an allergy or skin infection?
