hello, thanks for the informative video. I bought it from the same portafilter, but it switches from the "closed" part to the "insert" part while working and makes coffee everywhere. I also can't get nice cream. How many grams of coffee do you put? what is your grinder range? thanks
Hi. I have it very close to the true zero. If Im not cautious and have a wet portafilter, the coffee gets to dense and can choke the machine. I run 14 grams of ground coffe for a 28 gram shot.
What grinder do you have ? I guess the settings and how fine a mill can grind, differ from brand to brand, so try to go as fine as possible without choking the machine.
I have a eureka specialita and have the grindsettings to 1.2 above reference 0 (where the burrs start to touch) so its quite a fine grind. What grinder do you have ? Do you get good crema from pressurized portafilter ? Try a fresh robusta blend, since they give A LOT of crema compared to an "old" arabica.
@@KristofferEngstrom thank you for your response. I have Graef Cm702 grinder. I plan to adjust burr from its original settings. I have quite enough crema with original pressurized portafilter.

I just returned the bottomless portafilter I did not like it because you have to be really good at tamping .. so my question is does the coffee taste better with the new one?
Tbh I have no idea 😅 but the shots comes out consistant, lets me have a finer grind without choking the machine and gives a fabolous crema. I havent had any problems with the tamp tbh, and I dont do anything else than tap it a few times on the silicone mat and with my hand, then just tamp it. Almoast never a spritzer. What kind of problems do you have with your tamping ?
With a grinder like this, I can let it accompany me when/if I decide to buy a better espresso machine in the future. The machine really does some amazing coffe with that grinder thou 🙂

Very good. I have same portafilter and I could not get crema. Can you give details for adjustments. I tried lots of grind sizes.

@@KristofferEngstrom mainly messy spritz of water... I didn't notice any taste difference.
@@easymeal7075 As I said, I have not seen many spritzers in mine. Maybe has to do with the model/shape of the basket ? What grinder do you use ?

Nice,just bought the same Delonghi,the grinder is amazing but wha tmade you spend double the amount of the machine? I will get the graef 800 i think.

Its a Eureka mignon specialitá
joe frex is still china but branded :P the only sirius brand for the delonghi is the IMS basket.
What about Normcore ? Their portafilter doesn't look like the other branded ones (joefrex, neouza,....)
